Eric is the fishing guide you will go out with. Eric is a professional kayaking fisherman and his experience shows. He truly is knowledgeable about fishing and where the fish are. He got us on the fish, even when the weather was not providing us the best fishing. My buddy and I had a blast and were were surprised how Eric was able to teach us how to fish effectively, since we had not been fishing in about 10 years. He would give tips on where to anchor your kayak, where to cast the line out to, how to use the bait properly so you get tons of hits, and how to avoid the fish «falling» of the hook.
We caught several trout and one flounder. Again the weather was not ideal for a world record day but the 4 hours flew by because we were catching stuff. Since my buddy was in town only for a few days we wanted to go one way or another and knew the weather was less than ideal.
He is a very personable individual and was engaging in conversation. For the people who might not want to touch the fish, this is the guide you want. He was more than happy to come over and get the fish off the hook for you, if you wanted. He also would rebait the hook and make sure your back fishing fast. Kayak fishing with Eric was super easy, fun, and clean fishing!!!
The kayaks and fishing gear he uses are top notch! This made fishing very easy and fun. Definitely plan on going on another outing because it was so much fricken fun. This time bringing the fiancé because she won’t have to touch the fish.
Eric also helped me figure out how we should cook our fish. I was born and raised in Florida and do not like fish. So I cooked it up the way he told me, PERFECTION!!!

I can’t say enough about how much fun we had kayak fishing with Eric. My boyfriend wanted to try it out and I was hesitant because I don’t have much experience fishing (I literally couldn’t catch a fish in a stocked pond at a theme restaurant in Orlando!). Our guide Eric had everything organized and set up for us and was with us the whole time making sure that we were doing everything right. I caught 3 fish! I even caught a trout that we were able to keep! Eric fillet it for us and we got to take it home for dinner! This was the first time I have ever actually enjoyed fishing! My boyfriend is so happy because now I’m not afraid to go fishing with him! I would highly recommend trying out kayak fishing with Eric and Casting Kayaks if you are in Sarasota!
