We recently enjoyed the beautiful canyon setting, friendly service and outstanding four course dinner. Yes, it’s pricey for the area, but worth it. Our group of four tried everything on the menu – all super fresh and flavored well. The servings were not small as others have mentioned. We left full & satisfied. The open air dining room is gorgeous and unique from other restaurants in the area. Go and enjoy!

Come here for Drinks and sit outside but go somewhere else afterwards if your hungry. Four of us visited NC Mountains and we heard The Canyon Kitchen was a must. It is set in a beautiful area and the scenery outside where you had drinks was looking up at a beautiful mountain view. We knew this was a very pricey place, but we figured it would be worth it. It’s a mostly set menu with a few choices. The starter was a very pretty one bite Cucumber /Ginger roll. First Course was two bites of Southern Salad or 2 bites of Eggplant«Bravas’. Both were very nice and again you wanted a bit more. Choice of Entrees were Salmon over Kale(which was really the only good one that was a decent size), Rabbit Roulade 3 little round bites, but good, or Brasstown Strip Steak, which was 3 little round bites with a bite of Zucchini. Dessert was a choice of Choclate/Peanut Butter Ice Cream or Angel Food Cake with white Chocolate/Lavender Mousse. Surprise Surprise 3 bites here. For $ 53 a person this was so overpriced and you went away hungry, except if you had the Salmon. The food was beautiful and fresh, but they should have fed you instead of teasing you with dinner.

This us our second trip to to the area and our second visit to Canyon Kitchen. We were worried because we built up our last visit in our minds so much that our expectations this year might have led us to a let down. This was definitely not the case as our meals were better than before. Even if you hate food you should stop by for the view. We came at 830 to see dusk settle in but it was rainy and over cast. It was even better this way to see the fog float through the mountains. Spoke with the chef, Adam about his vision for the following year and I’m exited to come back for our third year! We are lucky that our place is within a few minutes drive from Canyon Kitchen but I would not hesitate to take an hour drive to experience this place.
