Description

Specialties

Here at The Gamekeeper’s Tavern, we have two dining options. Our new Delicatessen and Beer & Wine Cellar or The Gamekeeper’s Tavern Restaurant. At the Delicatessen you will find New York Style Deli Sandwiches, in which all our meats are made in house and breads baked fresh in house. Also, our house made meats are available for take home, along with artisinal cheeses and wild game options. (11:30−8pm).

The Gamekeeper’s Tavern Restaurant: Before the first glass of wine arrives at the table, the eyes have already begun to feast. The plates, the flatware, the linens, and glassware all influence the experience of a meal to be remembered. The old adage about first impressions has become increasingly more true with today’s savvy diners. With its rustic mountain elegance and sophisticated casual style, the setting and ambiance at The Gamekeeper’s Tavern will thrill even the most critical diners. *Lounge opens and 4pm, Dining Room at 5:30pm

Meet the Manager

Chef Jonathan R.

Manager

Jonathan W. Reid’s love of cooking began at the tender age of eight when he would bake his Grandmother’s traditional Sunday Biscuits and Gravy for the family. In 2002, Executive Chef Jonathan W. Reid earned an AOS in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Upon graduation, Jonathan continued to grow his culinary expertise by working up and down the east coast as a Private chef and Sous Chef at the Burlingame Country Club. In addition to cooking, Jonathan helped to inspire new chefs by teaching continuing education courses at his alma-mater. Jonathan spent time working at the Biltmore Estate before calling The Gamekeeper’s Tavern home. Diners at the Gamekeeper’s Tavern are treated to a host of organic inspired creations that come out daily from his kitchen. Jonathon currently resides in Western North Carolina with his wife and daughter.
