History

Established in 1972.

Our dental office started out as a small practice in 1972. It has grown throughout the years as it’s patients began to tell their friends and loved ones how great their dental office was. When Dr. Thacker began caring for Dr. Cox’s patients he updated the technology in the office and continued to provide the outstanding service that his patients have come to know.

Business Owner

Dr. Nick Thacker was born and raised in southern California. He attended California State University, San Bernardino where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He then attended The University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he graduated with highest honors.

When you first meet Dr. Thacker you will see that he is very personable and easy to talk to. He prides himself in educating patients about their oral health as he feels that this is the key to preventing dental disease. He is described by many as being very gentle and caring. He will do everything possible to make sure you are comfortable throughout your visit.

Dr. Thacker’s passion for educating goes beyond our practice. He is currently a part time Clinical Faculty at The University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Thacker has had extensive training in the fields of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He has also had extensive experience treating pediatric patients throug

Really very good. I broke my front tooth when my drill grabbed and Dr Thaker was able to see me that day. After he fixed it I couldn’t even tell he had done anything. A+ here.

Best dentist staff! I absolutely love this office! I was so sad when my insurance didn’t take them for 2014 and I had gone to Santee towne center dental and had the worst experience there. They wanted to charge me for so many things. I felt like it was a car dealership! Never again! Dr. Thacker is completely honest and doesn’t try to rip you off like the other guys do. He gives you his full attention and really explains your oral health to you. I love going there, I actually look forward to it! The oral hygienist takes her time on you and gives you a great cleaning! If I ever moved I still would drive back to Santee just for their excellent service.

Dr. Thacker is absolutely amazing!
I used to live in San Diego but moved to LA. But I still go down to San Diego to go see my dentist Dr. Thacker. He is so caring, thorough, and he really takes the time to help you understand why he recommends treatment and what the procedure entails (if you want to know… which I do because I’m OCD)
He has the best bedside manner and I can tell he truly cares. I’ve been to dentists before and they might know what they are doing (at least I think they do) but you can’t fake genuine concern and care for your patient that’s sitting in front of you. I know I’m being taken care of when I am in his office and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in San Diego… and LA!

Dr. Thacker is Fantastic!
If you are looking for a dentist who truly cares about you, look no further. Dr. Thacker and his staff have truly set the bar for patient care and comfort. My family and I have been coming to his office for some time now and it is always a truly pleasant visit. My daughter had her first cleaning with him and actually looked forward to going back. When we did return a few weeks later for her fillings, he managed to administer her novacaine, with her, not only not feeling the pinch of the needle, but she didnt even know it was in her mouth. INCREDIBLE! And he managed to make it fun for her as she «helped» him along the in the process. I really love that he explains everything to all of us, step by step as he goes and also provides the reasoning behind it. Hands down, the best dental experience ever and we will continue to be his patients indefinitely.

I love this office!
I have (obviously) been seeing dentists and doctors for my whole life and I never realized that going to a medical appointment could be such a comfortable experience. Dr. Thacker took an hour with me during my first visit and gave really detailed and understandable explanations for why my teeth are the way they are. He gave great advice on how I can keep them healthy and avoid any big dental procedures in the future. I have never had a medical professional take so much time getting to know me and empowering me to take care of myself.
The hygienist cleaned my teeth and it was great. It was a very comfortable experience and she seemed to be very thorough.
I would recommend Dr. Thacker to anyone looking for a dentist. He and his staff are clearly interested in the health of their patients which is the most important quality in any medical professional. I feel like my last dentist pressured me a lot to have procedures done (deep cleanings, expensive night guards, etc.) even though my teeth have always been pretty healthy. I felt Dr. Thacker was honest about what I needed and isn’t the «salesman» type.
