While on a road trip in my ’65 bug, my breaks went out! In desperate need to get new breaks, I began calling every auto shop around. 7 shops refused to even look at my car due to how old it was. Finally I came across Import Auto Service. He agreed to see me immediately, and was straightforward/​honest from the beginning. Being a Saturday, there was no guarantee that he would be able to get the shoes or drums needed. Tim was amazing though! While the other mechanic worked in my car *so sorry I forgot your name!*, Tim called and had the parts delivered to the shop within 15 – 20 minutes. We went to the taqueria next door, also amazing place!, and they got my car done extremely fast! He gave me an extremely good price and even offered to help me with anything else while we were in the area, anytime! The hospitality was more than any shop I have ever encountered before and I cannot thank them enough! They got us back in the road and we made it all the way back to Half Moon Bay. Also they put an amazing cleaner on my white wall tires and they are still shining after the long drive! I cannot thank them enough! And I would recommend them to everyone. Wish they were based out of my home town!

These guys are trustworthy, helpful and plain great to deal with. They really know their stuff. They handled a very difficult repair on my sons Fiat 500 with honesty and a smile.

I couldn’t find anyone to fix my fiat or change my oil. They changed my oil and my breaks, they did a really awesome job and worked with me on a price I could afford. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. Very trust worthy!!!

This is THE ONLY place i will take my 2007 BMW 525i. Chriss is by far the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic/​owner i have ever had work on any of my vehicles. Long story short, in the beginning of a long list of issues i was having with my vehicle, i was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the BMW dealership service and repairs, so i brought my car down to IAS, same day i called. Chriss and his team took a quick look at the issue (dead pulley near alternator) and told me exactly what was needed to fix it, THEN he brings up the retail page of the parts he needed to order, shows me exactly what he was being charged for the parts, then just starts discounting labor costs left and right! After that repair, he informed me of other issues with my vehicle, which i could not afford to fix at the time (BMW repairs being quite expensive and all) So Chriss gives me the run down on how to space out the repairs so that i could afford it, telling me exactly how long i could go on certain things (brakes, rotors, alternator etc.) before they absolutely needed to be replaced. So we set up a schedule basically of when i would need to come in to get the issues taken care of…
Seriously could not think of how a mechanic could be more honest than that.
They are straight forward and BY FAR cheaper and have FAR SUPERIOR customer service when compared to the dealer.

These gentlemen have not only helped me out when my car was acting up, but they have taken the same care of both of my sisters. I would recommend Import to anyone I know who is having trouble with his or her car. From the moment I walked in, I could tell these guys were the real deal. Chriss kept things straight up with me from the gates and I appreciate his honest approach. Super nice staff, very helpful. Brought my ’93 Jeep here when it didn’t pass smog, Chris told me exactly what needed to be fixed and gave me a good price on it. 100% recommend

Great place. Did not overcharge. Had to have upper and lower engine mounts replaced, and transmission mount. They were able to have my car ready the same day.

Took my car in for some work and Tim was great! He fixed my car quickly and was very trustworthy and kind. You can trust that they will be honest and fair the shop was also very clean and they provided a great beverage selection while you wait. I will be taking my car to them for all repairs

Best place to take any car. I brought my 02 Volkswagen Jetta in for an AC fix, which they ended up fixing alongside my brake switch, mass air flow sensor, and PCV hoses to ensure my car passes smog. I was priced elsewhere for about 1300 $ for everything these cool guys did for 785 $. They got everything done in a timely fashion and made sure I had my car back for work. This place has such a nice environment and the guys in here are amazing they took such good care of me. They’re very honest and want the best for you. So very happy with my car and how perfect it runs now. I would defiantly recommend them to everyone!

Tim, was very helpful who helped me fix my TPMS on my Honda fit sport and also fixed my bumper and my loose battery that’s ive been frustrated for so many months. Tim was very professional and very honest person.

My experience with Import Auto Service was excellent. They are honest, professional, educated, and dependable. I had many issues with my mini cooper and had encountered a very dishonest mini cooper repair shop prior to coming here, so I was very leery, but they did not disappoint me. My car runs better now than it ever

I recommend Import Auto Service very highly. Very knowledgeable, thorough, and fair. IAS is a great find in the East county area and especially the fact they replaced my parking light bulb without any additional fees, it was included with my oil change. Paying attention to small detail won my business.

Took my girlfriends Hyundai to Import Auto, the owner Chris was eager to make sure the job was done right. If I had an imported car myself, I’d be happy to get it taken care of here.
edit: G/​F needed some additional work after the oil change (like belts, hoses, etc.) which Christ told us about the first time. We brought it back here and are extremely happy! My g/​f says «My car is normal again!»

The reviews are exactly what brought me here and they did not disappoint. My car was ready sooner than I what they had originally projected, which is highly unlikely if it were any other shop. Really great and trust worthy guys that know their cars, my car’s engine problem was isolated within 5 minutes of Tim looking at it.
I’m from mission valley and these guys are worth the trip! They even gave me a ride home when I left my car there.

Hands down, the best automotive shop in town and you can’t beat their service. I went here with my Kia Optima and they helped me out tremendously, I can’t thank these guys enough fir bringing my car back to its former glory.
