I’ve been coming for the last 3 – 4 years and absolutely love it here. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and quick to assist. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get their nails or toes done in Santee.

I’ve only been here for pedicure and Christine is great. She takes her time and massages your legs and feet. The massage chair is not that great, but Christine makes it worth your while.

I stopped by because I was in the area. Wow. What a waste of money. $ 12 for a manicure and I only got a clear coat. No color. The lady cut down my nails all different sizes and didn’t even file them even, smooth, or straight. She trimmed down my cuticles, but could have done better. I would not return here again.

I came in last Thursday with my mom sister and cousins, I got a pedi and a fill. I normally go to a place closer to home but this is where my mom wanted so I tagged along. The girl Leah did my toes and she was great I enjoyed my pedi a lot! When it was time for my fill everything was fine the lady was doing a few things I’ve never seen my normal girl do but I figured everyone’s different. She finished my nails they looked ok she did then nice and short the way I like with no comment which is nice, when I was done she did not give me any cuticle oil or even lotion which was new for me thank god I had some lotion in my car so I wasn’t at finer with ashy dried out hands. Less than a week later my nails don’t look nice any more which is unfortunate the shellac that she used is rubbing off on the tips of my nails I’m not sure why because I’ve never had that happen before. Anyways in the future I will stick to what I know over all the experience was good just not what I thought and it’s more expensive than my place so decision definitely made!

Stopped in here for a pedi because I was in the area. Probably will never go back. As I sit here the manager is clipping his toe nails at the receptionist desk. Another employee is listening to her IPhone with her bare feet up. and my pedi was ok

Nina and Mindy don’t work here anymore! So I was stuck with Linda… bad!!! To make things worse in the middle of my manicure a guy came in for a haircut and needed Linda, she told Linda to just poor oil in my hands and rub it together. I was MAD!!! I asked to speak to the manager/​owner Tom and was told he wasn’t there, I knew that was a lie because I had just seen him. I was told by a very nice girl to call him. I called and he answered and acted like it wasn’t him… he hung up on me and I tried to call back and he hung up on me several times! Do not go to this place ever!!!

The lady did my nails were ok. She was so hurry and did very fast cause she has a customer waiting for her. I didn’t like that. I don’t think I’ll go back there again…

I had my nails done yesterday and they are awesome! I came back today for a pedicure. They took their time and did a great job. Yesterday when I was getting my nails done I watched them clean out every spa chair when they were done spraying and scrubbing the entire area. Then after that they put a sign on the chair that says cleaned and ready for the next person! I will be back!

Awesome! Nina and Mindy are great! Amazing customer service and outstanding detailed job! I will be back and will suggest my frienda/​fam to head over. Thanks ladies!

I came in to get a pedicure. It was okay. The quality and service of work is lacking.
I am definitely disappointed. I was trying to find a nail salon closer to home that takes walk-ins…but looks like ill have to keep on looking.

Went here after work for gel mani/​pedi and wasted 2 hours of my time… Asked for selection of gel colors and was directed to a glass shelf where all colors were in boxes… when I reached for the box to open it the male owner approached me and said can I help you? I said no I’m choosing a color… he proceeded to gaze at me uncomfortably so I chose the first pink I saw bc he was rushing me. I should have walked out @ that point but stayed to endure a bad experience. Toe nails were barely filed and cuticles briefly trimmed. Added on callus remover which was barely scrubbed off (waste of 7 bucks) When I asked the tech who spoke ZERO English to file a sharp edge she smiled and nodded never correcting my concern. Toe nail polish was also applied too fast causing bubbles to form … That’s the worst! Gel nail application was the same bad experience… Had to ask tech to remove pieces of cotton from the nail beds after applying gel as she didn’t see it, file nails evenly and remove gel color from the skin on my fingers from bad application… By that point I wanted out not even realizing she picked up the wrong gel polish color for my nails. Ugh all I wanted was the same color, maybe a 2 minute leg/​arm massage and correct color application. I wasted 54 bucks and should have went to my original place in Santee (Santee Nails). Don’t make the mistake I did… Go elsewhere! Oh ps… They only take tips in cash or check form. Worked out well bc I wasn’t going to tip and this made it easier as I only had my debit card…

Just had gel toes, spa pedicure and a full set done by Nina. The big pluses: they sterilized the tools right in front of me, they use little plastic cups for all the solutions so you aren’t sharing with everyone else. Nina was very gentle and super meticulous. She took a long time, but I wasn’t in a hurry. I like that they didn’t try to have one person working on my nails while I was having my pedicure. I hate that. The price was fair and she comped me some nail art since I was paying for a lot of services. I love the nail art and they have a large selection of gel colors and glitters. I loved the last thing she used on my feet. It was a orange mint rub that was covered with plastic and a hot towel. My feet and legs felt tingly for an hour. I went two other places after and got compliments on my nails both places!
The negatives: took a long time, but they might be quicker if you said something. They don’t put tips on credit cards, so cash tips only. The callus removal was not as thorough as other places I have been.
I usually look at Unilocal before I use a place, but I was out and just gave it a try. Glad I did!

Worst nail salon EVER! So I went to get a manicure with gel nail polish, I’m a very picky person when it comes to nail polish & I had to pick 5 different colors because I didn’t like the previous colors. The lady seemed rude and tried to rush me pick my colors. She then went on and I just stuck with pink. She was rushing trying to finish up as fast as she can. I made sure to check her work & she seemed really mad when I said that she missed a spot. Then I accidentally bumped into the uv lamp and told her that I messed up a nail on accident she said «it’s okay». I made sure not to tip her & I must warn you, DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE! My sister got a fullest and gel but the lady messed up & added regular nail polish to the gel which they had to do over! Took about two hours for her nails. Rude & unfriendly workers. The women who did my nails was mindy.

No more Focus Hair & Nails for me. I cannot believe last week. I came down for a pedicure the lady named Tracy. She did mine very fast and did a terrible job. I don’t think I really wish to go back to Focus Hair & Nail again…

CAUTION! Not too sure that these people know what they are doing. I went in to get a facial waxing. The lady that did it was pleasant. However within an hour after the waxing I could tell that my left chin looked and felt burned. I started applying cold water every 20 minutes. I followed up with going back into the salon the day after it was done and spoke with the person who did it. She said I should of called an hour after it was done and she would of told me to put cold water on it and cold compresses. Oh my gosh, days after half of my face shows large visible burn marks. Never again will I go back there. Lesson learned stay away from the Focus Salon.

Scary and dirty!!! The girls and I went in for spa pedicures and what happened? A woman exited a chair on one side of the room, the basin received a quick hose down, and another lady was immediately led to the chair and (ew – I just threw up in my mouth) received a spa pedi. No sanitization whatsoever. I looked at my basin and briefly imagined a flesh-​eating bacteria commandeering my toes, but instead I had a decent, yet overpriced polish job that cracked by week’s end. La Vie is in the Denny’s/Chase shopping center a black away and is clean and fairly priced.

Yes they were nice but that does NOT make up for the service. They barely rinsed out the tub from the previous person. One worker walked by and knocked all the tools on the floor and jsut put them back for my lady to use on me. Not to mention when i was leaving they just rinsed the tub out again for the next person. Rather then steralizing it! Gross! They need to be cleaner!

lordy lordy lordy. where do i begin? all i wanted was a fill on my pink and white acrylics, the previous place i tried used a gel that was allergic to. while i was waiting i looked at the nail art designs and saw this really cute halloween design. i asked if she could paint the design over the pink and whites (which i’ve had done a trillion times before). she didn’t understand what i was asking, so i asked again. and again. and again. finally she got someone else, and he replied with a very brash «no!» oookay. pink and whites it is.
now, i’m no manicurist, but i am pretty sure that the nails are supposed to be smooth, not lumpy… and even. some of my nails were squared, some were more curved, some were long, some were short. the white acrylic wasn’t placed correctly, and my free edge was showing under the nail. it was horrid. i didn’t want to ask her to fix it because there was such a huge communication barrier. so i gave her a dollar tip and left. i shouldn’t have tipped at all, but i feel bad when i don’t.
i had to go home, attempt to buff out all the lumps, paint over the entire thing to try and hide the monstrosity that was my nails.
the only positive thing i can say about this place is they were EXTREMELY sanitary. every implement used came from a new package. not a drawer. hence the one star.
