A Santanning Spa

It was shut down… everything was torn out and the number has been disconnected. I went to go check them out on Tuesday and it was a ghost town.

I love this place! The owner always remembers me. They are very clean and professional. All the rooms have a different theme which is nice. The owner is such a sweetheart and knows her stuff.

I first came here because it was the only salon that could take me on a Friday evening. Here we are, well over a year later, and I refuse to go anywhere else.
It takes a lot to get me to write a Unilocal review, and even more to get me to commute 30 minutes for a tan, but this place is worth it.
Char is, as all the other reviews will tell you; amazing! Never have I ever had such personalized service. She makes everyone who walks through her doors feel special. Furthermore, she takes the time to throughly explain everything, and tailors a custom service exclusively for each client.
I’ve tried many of their services from Airbrush, to red light therapy, the sauna and their variety of tanning beds. Everything here wonderfully exceeds my expectations!
I really could go on and on with countless examples of how great Santanning is, but you should probably just try it for yourself.

Char is amazing, super knowledgeable, caring and fun. Very clean, relaxing and tropical atmosphere.

A SanTanning Spa in Santee. Santee… Santan. See what they did there? It’s my kind of play on words, so we’re off to a good start.
This is probably the most thoughtfully decorated/​maintained tanning place I’ve ever been in… and even though I couldn’t usually care less about that, every time I’m here it strikes me as a hell of a deal considering how great the tanning prices are here.
They offer all sorts of stuff in here that I know nothing about, but the tanning rooms are clean and the equipment is good to go. The prices are superb.
I’ve never waited longer than about 30 seconds before being sent off to a room.
And Char… she’s a doll. I highly recommend «A SanTanning Spa» if you’re looking for an east county tanning spot.

Santanning Spa has many things to offer! Char and her family really make you feel like family. She goes out of her way to help you with any questions you may have. The Spa offers tanning, Red Light therapy, a sauna, facials, plus has a hair salon! A definite one stop place for your pampering! Do not miss out on spoiling yourself at great everyday costs that fit your budget!!!

Char, the owner, is absolutely wonderful! She’s a genuine person and truly cares about making you happy. I have gone here twice to get spray tanned prior to a vacation. Both times, I looked perfectly tanned and my husband approved. Thank you Char and A Santanning Spa.

My daughter found this gem! The experience happened before I even got there. I asked if I could come in earlier and a call was made and I got in an hour earlier! Now that’s service! I got my first spray tan and will DEFINITELY be back! I am walking with a huge pep in my step as I view the results! These are very highly trained professionals! This is a family run business and they are all in the medical field. I felt extremely welcome and the facility was very clean.

This place is great! I go for the tanning. I live right down the street so its very convenient for me. Just had my first visit here last week and have been 3 times since. I am not a habitual tanner, I usually tan when I’m getting prepped for special events (like Vegas!) It had been about a year and a half since I had last gone tanning and I was a little rusty on the whole experience. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful! They will guide you through the tanning process best fit for your skin type and put you in the correct bed for the correct amount of time to keep your skin as protected as possible while still achieving a good tan. After a tanning session they always ask how it was, and before a new session they always ask how your skin handled the previous one. They will even give you a little sunscreen for free to put on sun sensitive areas if needed.
In regards to the previous review: I have never had to wait for a tanning bed!
The prices are fab too! Last time I went to Vegas I tanned across the street at iTan. They are too expensive for me and not nearly as helpful.
The décor is super cute and well thought out and I love that they have a fridge full of refreshments.
They are not just a tanning salon! They offer much more and are definitely more like a spa. I was told they are even putting in a sauna!
All in all the place is very affordable, very convenient, very clean, very friendly! 5 stars!

My husband took me to Palm Springs for my birthday — for an exciting
weekend away while our 1 year old stayed with grandparents. I wanted to
look *hot* in my itty-​bitty bikini — but am also one of those athletic
ladies who permanently has a racer-​back sports bra tan lines tattooed
into my body.
The owner of the salon gave me my first airbrush tan. He perfectly
matched the color of my arms, and evened out all of my tan lines. He
was *extremely* detail oriented, and didn’t miss a spot.
Give yourself about an hour for an airbrush tan — they take this very seriously — they
do a lot of prep work and make sure you look *fantastic*. You also
might want some extra time to browse their bikinis. They have some
seriously cute styles — at very affordable prices.
As a side note — this was my first airbrush tan — give yourself at least 24 hours
before you judge the result :) They use a «color-​guide» when spraying
that is not your actual color! Also — I think it looked a bit dark the first 2 days. I got it done Wednesday evening and it looked perfect on Saturday.

This salon offers great services at affordable prices and has very convenient hours… but the best part hands down are owners Char and Ken! They are the nicest, sweetest, kindest people you will ever meet! It’s too bad the previous person who rated wasn’t happy. I absolutely loved Char’s response though. always willing to satisfy the customer. The salon is always clean, there are new upgrades every time I visit and their fridge is always full of goodies for visitors — Adriana :)

I love this place! My personal retreat throughout the week. All of the rooms have such cute décor and really sets the tanning mood but more importantly I have had great success with the beds. My color is great and I have never burnt. The owners are very friendly and have really personalized my experience. It seems rather apparent that they appreciate their customers and are not merely looking to make a buck. I have even recruited my husband as well who is equally a fan. Two thumbs up to A Santanning Spa!

Not for me. When I go tanning I like to be in and out quickly. I bought a months worth of tans and stopped going after a week. Every time I went in it took at least 5 min at least just to get in a room. I gave it 5 tries and it happened every time. The couple at the front is too preoccupied with other things and then when they finally do help they try to lecture you on what bed would be best and how long even if u told them you have tanned before and know what you can handle.
