I chose Lindsey Relyea’s full service design and planning services for my September 19^th wedding. Lindsey was by far the best partner I could have ever asked for when planning the big day. She’s extremely detail oriented, professional, a great listener/​communicator, and has amazing design sensibilities. This coupled with her expert knowledge of wine country and vendor recommendations made planning an incredible experience.
I had a good idea of type of day and weekend I wanted to create, but with Lindsey’s help we created an experience to remember. Lindsey helped us right from the beginning — after an initial call to discuss mine and my husband’s thoughts on wedding venues, Lindsey set up a full day of venue scouting for us. She was there the entire time to help answer any questions and ultimately helped us select the perfect venue: Arista Winery in Healdsburg, CA. During the planning process, she created design mood boards to help us narrow in on a wedding design, expertly ran weekly calls where we talked about everything that was being worked on that week, and managed all contracts and conversations with vendors on my behalf. She also had so many creative ideas as to how to make our day special and personal.
Lindsey and Julia were so instrumental during the wedding weekend itself. They coordinated every moving part from the rehearsal dinner/​welcome drinks, to the wedding day, to brunch the next morning. Everything was so well-​organized, they kept everything moving on time and on track, and not a single detail was forgotten.
As a result of working with L’Relyea Events, my husband and I had a wedding weekend we could have only dreamed of, and our guests cannot stop raving that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I cannot express how happy I was to have Lindsey and team plan and manage my baby shower last Spring! It was the most beautiful event and I was so glad to have l’Relyea events help me and my mother detail everything from start to finish and graciously execute everything we had discussed to perfection. I have been in the wedding planning industry for 25 years — and that’s a long time! I’ve seen people come and I’ve seen them go… I have respected and loved Lindsey the moment I met her when she was with Solage. And its been a treat watching her grown and mature into an accomplished wedding planner, and an outstanding business woman.
When it was time for me and my husband to get married in 2016, I turned to Lindsey to pass the reigns over to. It was a brilliant decision on our part. And I can’t think of any higher accolade to pay Lindsey.

The girls worked with me on all of the major stress inducing details, for the two months leading up to the big day. They finalized timelines, confirmed vendors, ran rehearsal, and of course brought it all together the day of the event. My husband and I could not be happier with the job they did. There were times when I would start to panic and Delaney was calm and reassuring, I definitely fed off of her energy. I don’t know what I would have done with out you girls! Julia is wonderful!!! I was the DJ at a wedding that she was coordinating. She is absolutely wonderful. The entire L’Relyea Events team was super friendly, professional and ON it. Makes a huge difference. I DJ maybe 60 – 80 private parties like this every year and i’ve seen it all. HIGHLY recommend Julia and L’Relyea Events!

I hired L’Relyea events as the day of coordinator for my June 20, 2015 wedding. And I could not be happier with my decision! My mom and I met with Lindsey, Julia, and Delaney about a month before the big event. They helped us get organized and put the finishing touches on everything! They had great ideas that complemented my overall vision perfectly. When the big day finally arrived Julia and Delaney were there with smiles on their faces to help set-​up and run the rehearsal. Thank goodness they were there since it turns out that trying to get 10 family members to set tables for 200 people can be quite complicated without expert guidance! We needed a chief, thank goodness Julia was there for us! Our wedding turned out to be absolute perfection! Julia and Delaney kept everything and everyone on schedule. Literally nothing went wrong! It was the perfect day. I could go on and on… but I will keep it short (ish) and just say: Lindsey and her team clearly love what they do and know how to execute an event flawlessly. Hire them. You will not be disappointed.

lindsey planned my wifes 40^th birthday celebration in Napa /​Calistoga. I am a very picky person when it comes to efficiency, timeliness, and details. And she nailed it
she helped w the invited, coordinating airport transfers, lodging at Solage, welcome bags, spa appts. We had an amazing dinner the first night at an amazing restaurant that she suggested. The next day was filled w biking to wineries, and she assisted w the bikes, maps, reservations, we had an amazing wine tour, followed by a picnic at the winery which she set up and catered, w blankets, tables, etc… was beautiful and perfect. We then went to another winery for dinner which is the best venue for a dinner that i have ever been to. She set up the dinner, w amazing food and wine, and service. Had the perfect live musician for the night, followed by a DJ who kept the party going, and an energetic shuttle ride back w music, and champagne. Any issues that arose or changes that I wanted were taken care of immediately and proficiently. The following day she set up a beautiful cooking class at the CIA, which also ran perfectly. I could not have done this party without her help. This was the perfect weekend away in Napa for my wife, myself, and 20 of our friends. Everyone was in awe of the planning, the venues, the food, and the service. Thank you lindsey — in my wifes words «you made my dream come true»

Lindsey did a wonderful job in assisting us in creating an amazing experience for our wedding. After working with her and developing what we were dreaming up, she was able to implement pretty much everything that we had hoped for. During the planning stages, she there to assist us with putting everything together and the day of our wedding, she helped orchestrate a flawless event. To this day, many guests still rave to us at how amazing the whole event was.

My wedding was a bit different from most. We had 2 ceremonies, it spanned almost 12 hours, my husband came in on a horse. I knew that whoever I picked to be my wedding planner needed to be up for a fun and crazy ride. Working with l’Relyea Events surpassed all my hopes and expectations. They helped me and my husband combine two cultures with ease and beauty. The wedding was beyond our dreams and amazed our guests. What is better? The planning process was fun and professional. Lindsey and team were amazing from start to finish. From day one of working with them we felt comfortable, confident and excited about our day. I can not say enough how much I recommend this company to help out with your special day! P. S. I do events for a living so I had an incredibly high standard to meet.. . they flew past it!

Thank you Lindsey and Julia for our perfect wedding weekend! Not only did they pull off a fantastic job for the day-​of wedding, they were spot on with the rest of the weekend details like organizing a pre-​wedding party with all of our out of town guests which incorporated foodtrucks, wine tasting and oysters, and coordinating an intimate rehearsal dinner for 30. It was a three-​day affair and every single guest had amazing things to say. Lindsey is incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry in napa and used her expertise to guide us stylistically. I couldn’t have imagined planning my wedding without a planner or with anyone else. Thank you both for being such wonderful partners during the most important day of our lives!

We planned a low key, DIY home town wedding in Calistoga on our 35^th anniversary… we had lots of people offering help, so weren’t sure we needed much help. I really wanted a «day of event» person, so I didn’t have to think about anything but having fun and enjoying our event that day!!! Boy, did we get that and so much more– We met with both Lindsey and Julia a few months before our fall wedding. And then worked with Julia, emailing and phone calls, and another meeting or two!!! She had so many great suggestions, and lots of things came up, we just wouldn’t have been prepared for. At the «rehearsal» she helped us stage things perfectly, working with our «DIY» issues, and seamlessly pulling all the details together. She seemed to be everywhere the day of the ceremony, never rushing, keeping us on track– I never looked at the time. She was a portrait of calm, and kept the day just that much more delightful for us and all our family. I recommend them to anyone planning an event.

In the 3 months leading up to the wedding, we had weekly calls with Julia where she made sure we were on track. She guided us through the tougher decisions, deftly navigated our in-​call arguments, and gave us great ideas and advice on the items we wanted to DIY.
I have a super high bar for this type of thing (I am hyper-​organized and type-​A in my work), and I generally feel like to do things right, I have to do them myself. However, the way Julia carried herself and got stuff done, she earned my complete faith in her. In the couple of months leading up to the wedding, Julia drove the communications with vendors, took meetings with our venue and catering coordinators as needed (so we didn’t have to), and made sure rides, rentals, and other vendors were all aligned.
Julia was also always available if I was freaking out about something — if I ever called she always returned my calls extremely promptly.
The wedding — perfect. It was just flawless, and we didn’t have to do anything! Julia handled it all. And any time we saw her during the evening, she was relaxed, happy, and had an air of confidence that let us know everything was fully under control.

Lindsey was the first party planner my mother and I spoke to when we began planning a joint birthday party on our family vineyard, Gantz Family Vineyards. And after a phone call — when Lindsey listened courteously, never interrupted and then offered some perfect, off-​the-​top-​of-​her-​head ideas — I thought, «We CAN’T select the first person we speak to.»
But after speaking to three other planners, Lindsey was who we chose and I’m so glad. Lindsey was an organized, enthusiastic, creative party planner who made giving us what we wanted while staying within our budget a priority. She was always extraordinarily courteous, even when she had to talk us (me!) down from the walls during the stressful final days before the party. She had a truly inspirational vision for our vineyard party, giving it a fun, agricultural-​chic authenticity and elegance with no stuffiness.
We really didn’t understand how much work Lindsey had put into the event — how many decisions she had made effortlessly — until the day of the party. All of a sudden, magic started happening around us and we just got to relax with a glass of rosé. From the welcoming rosé, to the lawn games, to the food-​truck-​style dinner, to the cigar, Scotch and smores bar around the fire pit, Lindsey and her staff moved the party and events around so effortlessly that everyone stayed entertained and no one realized they were being moved. Everyone did remark on how effortlessly fabulous it all was.
I also must comment on the excellent businesses Lindsey drew together to help us with the event. Feast Catering made food that knocked everyone’s socks off, and their staff was so friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Mariah Smith was a phenomenal photographer who perfectly captured the spirit of our event. And Beau Wine Tours was an excellent shuttle service.

We really loved working with Lindsey and Julia of L’Relyea Events. Together with my parents and my husband Tim, they really helped us to put on the wedding of our dreams at Solage Resort on July 13^th, 2013.
Tim and I lived in Hermosa Beach at the time, so having someone as capable, organized and familiar with the area (and the resort) as Lindsey was a huge blessing! From the very first day that we met Lindsey, she reassured us in regards to EVERYTHING! She truly put me, Tim and my parents at ease from the get go and that feeling continued throughout our actual wedding day. That’s a really important quality in a wedding coordinator because there are so many moments of «ahhhhhh craziness» and having some one who can take charge with grace was so appreciated! :)
Not only that, but Lindsey brought us some truly extraordinary vendors. She introduced us to the wonderful Amber McKenny of «Sweet On Cake», who made our beautiful and delicious wedding cake (and a fun surprise groom’s cake to boot), the unbelievably talented designer, Emily Foran from «Three Little Words» who not only created our wedding invitations, but she made sooooo many day of materials that were beyond words fabulous, annnndddd she found the BEST florist, in Olivia Rivas of «Papillion Floral» (people to this day are still commenting on her work).
Lindsey and Julia truly helped us to bring a year’s worth of planning to life. Tim and I loved just BEING at our wedding. Julia and Lindsey made it so that we didn’t have to worry about anything that day. They were doing so much behind the scenes and helping to ensure that the entire day went perfectly and I can assure you, it most certainly was perfect.
I miss getting to speak with Lindsey on a daily/​weekly basis! She is truly an amazing woman, an incredibly talented coordinator, and a true professional. She went ABOVE and BEYOND her «responsibilities» and for that we couldn’t be more thankful. You are in great hands with her and Julia and they most certainly will help you in building and executing one of the best days of your life :)
The word that I keep hearing to describe our day was «magical». Thank you Lindsey and Julia for making that magic happen!

As I said in my previous review, Lindsey is phenomenal. The whole wedding weekend was perfect, thanks to her. The night of the wedding was beyond words. She produced my dream wedding out of my mumbling rambling conversations with her where I couldn’t make decisions for the life of me sometimes. I don’t know how she did it. She is amazing. And she is just the nicest person too. She can really mean business when she needs to, and she can be like a friend you’ve had for years. The wedding went so smoothly. I am still so shocked how perfectly the night went looking back. She was there the whole evening making sure all was well. I have been telling all of my friends that once they get engaged they should use her as their planner. I would recommend her to everyone. She is really good at both taking an idea of yours and making it happen, and getting to know you and what sort of things you would like and producing the perfect plan for a breath taking event.

We are so thankful to have found L’Relyea Events to help us with our wedding in Sonoma.
Although we hired Lindsey for day-​of coordination, in reality it was much more. She worked closely with us during the months leading up to the wedding and helped up get a handle on the best way to organize the flow of the day. She was available with advice and expertise on just about anything that came up and really took the time to understand our vision for the day. Leading up to the wedding she was in contact with all our vendors which took a huge load off our plates (as a bonus, she already had a professional relationship with several of our vendors). On the big day, Lindsey and her assistant Julia did a wonderful job of executing all the details. Our ceremony and reception were at two different sites and there was a lot of set up and execution that needed to happen simultaneous at both spots. There was a lot to coordinate and they did it flawlessly.
Lindsey was extremely organized, calm, professional — and not to mention a joy to have around on our wedding day! She has good judgment and is the type of person who just gets stuff done. She is exactly the type of person you want in your corner.
Having a team like L’Relyea Events gave us the peace of mind to just relax and really be able to enjoy the day we had worked so hard to plan.

Lindsey was my wedding coordinator for my November 2012 wedding at the Solage Calistoga. She is an amazing coordinator and was able to think of every detail that my «bride» brain forgot! It unfortunately rained on my wedding day but Lindsey had the back up plan all ready and she and Julia changed the set up at a moments notice. It was just as beautiful as it would have been outside! They were behind the scenes the entire evening making sure things were done according to schedule and as planned. She did an amazing job creating my perfect dream wedding, a day my husband and I cherish every moment of!

My wife, Lianna, and I were married on October 6^th, 2012 in our hometown of Healdsburg, California. We are currently living on the East Coast, and were thus faced with the challenge of planning our wedding to take place on the other side of the country. We looked into the prospect of a DIY wedding and soon realized that we needed someone whom we could trust to take care of most of the heavy lifting. Lianna’s mother came across Lindsey at a wedding expo just outside of Healdsburg and was taken with Lindsey’s charm and wedding ideas. We talked with Lindsey on the phone and were excited both with the service package that she drafted for our needs as well as with her fun attitude and personality. We could tell that Lindsey would be really great to work with. From the first planning sessions Lindsey presented great ideas that were really in line with our vision for our wedding: Rustic but Elegant.
There were several logistical aspects to overcome with our venue such as how to turn what was really a gravel driveway into the beautiful ceremony site we were envisioning (and that it became!). The day before the wedding the servers we were slatted to work with fell through and Lindsey miraculously arranged another service team that were amazing and even under budget. Lindsey handled it so well that we never even knew this snafu had occurred until after the fact. Lindsey arranged with the rental company to allow us to take chairs and equipment from the venue to use the next day at an in-​home post wedding breakfast we hosted for our guests. Lindsey met with our vendors at the wedding site numerous times to work out lighting and catering details. During the reception, when the girl’s bathroom had a sudden plumbing issue, Lindsey was there while the rest of us were unaware of the problem.
Lindsey was professional in all of our meetings with her, whether in person or over the phone or Skype. She was detail oriented and kept us on track consistently throughout the wedding planning process. Lianna’s mother was also a major player in the wedding planning and she and Lindsey had a well planned out division of labor and were in great communication the entire process.

Lindsey truly became part of the family and was always a calming presence when needed as well as just as excited as we were to make the wedding be the greatest day. Lindsey handled every concern and logistical item with skill, professionalism and her beaming smile. We couldn’t be happier to have met and worked with Lindsey! We whole-​heartedly recommend Lindsey Relyea and L’Relyea Events.

We hired Lindsey because she used to be the Event Planner at Solage and knew the property and vendors in the area well. We live in NYC so having someone local take care of the details for our wedding was important. She did an amazing job with recommending vendors as well as working with us to make our vision of modern with wine-​themed elements come to life. Everything about our wedding was magical, intimate and fun. It was just perfect and Lindsey was a big part of making that happen.
