Ask anybody and they would tell you I would cut my own hair before going to a stylist. And it was usually obvious because the back part of my head was never quite right! Fortunately I found Laura Lind and I have maintained a committed relationship with her ever since. She found just the right style to fit my flat crown, high forehead and double chin :) She is very accessible and willing to adjust what she can to meet your needs. She is an honest, caring and compassionate artist, who intuitively works her art!

This was my first visit to this salon and my mind was blown! Opened in an amazing older house with all its charm is 2 different salons. My appointment was with the amazing Kristy of La Chaise Rouge Salon who has the upstairs area. The space alone is amazing and offers an authentic and personal experience totally unlike the larger mainstream concepts. Kristy is just the best. I was ready for my fall look with darker, richer hair with some peekaboo highlights. And with that she made magic. Kathy is also a very kind and thoughtful person. Talking with her was easy and comfortable which adds to the overall experience. I walked out with the best hair cut and color. A week later and it is still everything I asked for and more. Check this one out. You deserve this!

If you have curly hair you’ve gotta go to this place. I went in with a head of long hair that tended to go to frizz by the end of the day. Kristy washed and conditioned my hair to find the wet curls, then painstakingly cleaned them up one by one until I was left with this glorious mop of curls that I love shaking around. I’ve slept in this hair, walked in this hair, worked out, everything. And still my bouncy ringlets remain. My husband has said something every day about how great my hair looks now and he’s usually oblivious to whether I even went to the salon! So greatful I found Kristy. Can’t recommend her highly enough

Laura Lind is an amazing stylist. she is wonderful with curly hair and incredible with style. She gave me confidence in my hair, by teaching me how to handle my hair, and properly treat it with the Diva Curl product. Which if used incorrectly, as I had been, can be a disaster. She kindly showed me how to handle my hair, and transformed in one session, what had been in my opinion one of my worst features into one of my best. Then she showed me how to continue making it fabulous, even once i left the salon. I can not say enough good things about Laura. I have also brought my sister and cousin in for a cut and style, both of whom looked great and loved their new style.
Laura made it so that I did not have to fear going to the salon for the inevitable failed attempt to make my hair look tolerable and not horrible. I now look forward my salon trips, and they are stress free. And I always leave grey free, and happy with my look.

Laura is the Deva Curl stylist goddess!!! I travel from the ends of the Earth every 6 months to let her work her magic. She is great at instructing for home Deva Curl care as well. I leave there with my curls happy and a big smile on my face!

I love love love Kristy! Her work is impeccable! It seems like for ever I’ve had my hair tortured and abused and just when I was going to give up all hope I found high reviews on Unilocal for LA Chaise Rouge. Still apprehensive I walked in hoping for the best… and that’s exactly what i got. I told Kristy about past experiences and she walked me through what hair colors she thought I was talking about and really made sure what I chose was what I really wanted. When I said I wanted a natural look but lighter than my dark ashy brown she nailed it! I feel brand new and my faith in hair salons is restored. I will continue to see Kristy until she quits or moves! Thank the heavens my hair has been saved!

My hair is so thick and gets so tangled, that every time I get a hair cut I end up being in so much pain and so uncomfortable. But this time was the first time EVER where I didn’t feel any pain and was relaxed the whole time! Not only was it pain free but it was EXACTLY the cut I wanted!
I have never been so happy after getting a hair cut and I never go to the same hair dresser more then once because I’m never happy with my cut. But I can guarantee you that I’ll be back for Laura! She is the best!!!

Laura Lind is a fantastic stylist with a great personality. I’d never received a cut specific to curly/​wavy hair and Laura did an excellent job intuitively cutting and shaping my thick mop. Highly recommend La Chaise and Laura!

Before I met Kirsty I had gone from a girl that had been doing my hair for 7 years to trying to find someone that could match her expertise and ended up with brass roots and weird shades of blonde. Two hairdressers later I did an in depth internet and Unilocal search, in search of a hairdresser that was great with blonde hair and that’s when I saw Kirsty’s work on Unilocal.This was about 8 months ago and I can’t imagine having anyone else do my hair.
I can honestly say she’s the best hairdresser I’ve ever had and I’m pretty picky. She’s great with color and I can choose any portion of my hair to lift up and there is never even a spot of color that was maybe rinsed onto a blonde strand or anything out of place. She’s really precise and my hair always blends together perfectly and has the right shades of blonde for my skin tone. Not to mention that she’s really nice, easy to talk to and not at all pretentious. I Definitely feel comfortable and the time fly’s by when I am there.
I have even started buying my shampoo and conditioner from La Chaise Rouge called Innersense (which is an organic line) which I love! I had been using Karastase and thought that was the end all be all, but after talking to Kristy I decided to skeptically try the Innersense line in hopes of straying away from all the chemicals. I actually found my hair to look and feel even healthier with Innersense then Karastase, which I was shocked by!

So disappointing…
I made a consultation appt w Coleen. I read all these good reviews and I was really excited to meet with her. We talked on the phone and I told her that I’d been coloring my hair to cover gray and I wanted to talk about how I could go all gray. After meeting with her, I was so disappointed in the way she presented the salon and her obvious lack of interest and knowledge. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend La Chaise Rouge.
I brought in a few pics showing younger women with all gray hair to show Coleen the color I was thinking of. Coleen said you could tell by the color of their eyes that their hair was naturally gray, not from a salon. She couldn’t do my hair that color, theirs was natural. I know that it isn’t always possible for hair stylists to do exactly what the client is asking for. But a good stylist should be able to offer alternative suggestions. That’s why I go to a salon. Along with getting a great cut, I’m looking for a professional opinion and suggestions. Like «I cant do that exactly, but I can do this and its going to be beautiful.»
Coleen’s only suggestion was highlights. She said highlights start at $ 100, and she wasn’t sure what color they’d end up being. She said having short gray hair for me was «at least 3 processes away and way, way, way down the road.»
I have straight, short, brown hair. It doesn’t reach my shoulders. And I’ve got a good 2 inches of uncolored new growth. Coleen said that since I’d colored my hair for so long and with «boxed» color instead of going to a salon, she wasn’t sure what color the highlights would be. After the first 5 or 6 times she said «boxed» color, I really began to feel insulted. And my hair is only long enough to have been colored 4 times. I asked if she could show me a picture of the highlights she was talking about. She handed me three heavy books and said, «Here.» I just felt stunned. Not what I was expecting. Most of all, so disappointed.

Just have to praise Laura Lind again! My wedding is in 2 weeks and she’s been working with me to get the color /​length just how I want it for the big day! Dark with some honey highlights — not too chunky but with definition and depth and wow she nailed it!!! I am sooooo happy that my hair is exactly as I want it for our big day! Thank you Laura! :)

Let’s just start by saying Kayla rocks! After having years and years of bad experience I’ve found my girl! She just did my highlights with some lowlights, got the blonde I’ve been trying to reach, the lowlight is the perfect color, I love it! I am very pleased. And the place is very cute and relaxing. The people are friendly! Five stars for sure! GO SEE KAYLA!

Colleen is the best! I made the mistake of going to a different salon and went to Colleen to fix it. I’ve always loved my hair after sitting in her chair.

Just saw Christie. Went in for a highlight and deva curl cut. I told her they should call it the deva curl education. She have me great ideas on how to maximize my curly hair and gave me a great cut. The highlights look great too!

Calling all curly haired women!!! YOU NEED KRISTY!!!
My good friend recommended Kristy to me about 5 years ago after I expressed jealousy over her amazing highlights (on straight hair) and I’ve been loyally returning ever since! The best part: Kristy is also an expert on curly hair. In 15 years of having my hair highlighted, cut and *ahem* styled (if that’s what they want to call it, as I always went home and re-​washed/​re-​styled) I never found anyone that knew how to deal with my locks… Until I was united with Kristy. Kristy is an expert on Deva Curl, a special way to cut and style curly hair. I will never trust anyone else with my hair again. I now leave the salon looking and feeling so glamorous! Gone are the days of bad highlights, a crappy cut and frizzy curls. Now I have beautiful, natural looking highlights and low lights and the SOFTEST, sexiest curls! I’ll never go to anyone else. Period.
Kristy has an incredibly high standard of excellence, and her salon is classy and comfortable. She’s so easy to talk to, and actually remembers things that you mentioned in prior visits! You literally leave her chair feeling like you’ve found a new best friend… who also makes you look your absolute best. A+++!!!

I have never received so many compliments on my hair… ever! I visited Laura, who got me in, at the last minute, on a Friday, the day after Thanksgiving! Who does that?! Laura does! Amazing. She listened to what I had in mind for my hair, which was to go much shorter, and gave me a cut and style that was way more than I had anticipated. I am completely amazed by compliments that I am receiving from my coworkers. One of them said, «You have the best short hair of anyone that I have ever known.» Wow. Another coworker chased me down, literally, and said, «Your haircut is perfect!!!» I can not recommend Laura enough! She is friendly, professional, and works hard to give you what you want, and then some. Thank you, Laura!

There’s nothing like that feeling and that’s how I ALWAYS leave feeling after seeing Catherine at La Chaise. This gal knows hair! She’s been in the industry for years and knows her stuff! My color is perfect every time and the cut… oh the cut… Catherine is a master at her craft, and works like an artist with ever snip of her shears. I’ve seen many stylists over the years and I’ve never received as many compliments as I have since seeing Catherine. If you’re worried about leaving your current stylist to try something new, take the plunge… call Catherine! If you’re bored with your hair and want something new and fun… call Catherine! Just do it, you’ll be so glad you did, you might even turn a few heads!

Colleen Wagner is great! She works in a beautiful and sophisticated salon. It is clean, fresh, and Colleen is so friendly and welcoming. I am always greeted by her smiling face :)
Colleen offers great hair services which seems to turn out awesome. In addition they have a wide range of quality products on hand including, my favorite, Enjoy!
Colleen an amazing job with helping to pick out product as well. I love the job she does on my hair. She always does a thorough consultation to find out what her client’s want to do with their hair. She answers all my questions and provides great styling tips. My hair always turns out great and I’m always pleased with my experience.
