Let’s start with some facts… I have been burned by many dentists over the years. I have felt mistreated, robbed, and it has left me with a spotty dental check-​up record. In the interest of letting go of these past experiences and turning over a new leaf my whole family and I signed up for EZ Smile’s in-​house insurance plan (as a small business owner their plan is really the only insurance plan that made sense to me). With fingers crossed, we visited EZ Smile.
In short, all I can say is, «WOW!»
Super nice and personable people. Have you ever noticed how often the people working behind the desk to greet patients at doctors offices and dentist offices are grumpy … not here! From the front staff to the support staff to the dental hygienists to the dentist, not once was I not impressed. Everyone was kind, considerate, thoughtful, and thorough.
Without hesitation, I’d recommend EZ Smile and their team to friends, family, and Unilocal strangers.

I had a very similar experience to other reviewers. I found this dentist through the Delta Dental website and since they were located near my house I thought I would give them a try. Went in for a cleaning which was fine and they set up a plan for future work. They told me the most urgent need was replacing a filling on a molar which needed to be done right away, according to them. My cost for this was going to be $ 400. What?! And they were in my network for dental insurance! I left the office feeling like that was a rip off. Cancelled my future appointments with them and got a second opinion. Saw a very nice dentist today, also in the Delta Dental network, who said the filling could be replaced at my convenience. It was not an urgent matter. My cost for the replacement filling from that dentist, $ 27! So either EZ Smile does not know how to factor in what insurance is covering on procedures before quoting costs or ripping clients off.

I am a new patient at EZ Smile so I cannot give 5 stars yet —
So far, my experience has been very pleasant, the staff is professional and make every effort to answer my questions.
I will recommend EZ Smile to my friends and co-​workers.

Bait & Switch! I saw Dr B last year and got a treatment plan. I decided to upgrade my insurance to pay $ 475 each for the 5 crowns I supposedly need instead of $ 698 each. After my upgraded insurance kicked in I got a new treatment plan. Under the new plan, the charges are $ 1075 (!) for each crown because now the Dr’s office tells me «the dentist only uses name brand crowns» because he has «a reputation to uphold». Of course, «the name brand crowns are optional» and if I want something else they’ll be glad to «refer me to another dentist». When I called to be referred to another dentist, I was told to talk to my insurance company. I hope not all Delta Dental dentists are like this one…

Just had a cleaning with Dr. Monroz and the awesome helper Kelly (the water sucker upper). They both asked me numerous times if I was comfortable. Excellent service. I’ve had Dr. Monroz as my dentist for about 10 years and I’ll go wherever he goes. My first time at the Santa Rosa location, which is more convenient for me.

In June 2015, I joined Delta Care insurance and changed from a dentist who did not belong to the plan. I reviewed all of the dentists on-​line and thought that I would be happy at EZ Smile. However, my experience has not been good. At my first visit I was told by Dr. B that they did not like to do cleaning since I was supposed to do my cleaning at home. After the X-​rays were done Dr. B told me that I need about $ 2,700 to be done very soon. Phil pressured me to get started in the next week or two. I felt that both Dr. B and Phil were talking down to me. Since I am a professional with advanced degrees — this is a rare experience for me.
After a few months I decided to try another visit. I called and came back for a cleaning in December and got another update that I now needed over $ 3,400 in dental work because there were major problems which needed to be done right away. I got pressure from Dr. B and from Phil. I asked about getting a second opinion and they did not seem happy with that idea. Three weeks later — I got a second opinion and found that I needed about $ 400 in dental work soon and that the remainder of the suggested work was really extreme. As a result — I canceled my insurance with Delta Care and do not plan to go back to EZ Smile. I need to be in a more friendly environment without the high prices and pressure.
Choose carefully!

I chipped a tooth that I had previous work on by this dentist earlier in the year (2015). Needless to say that the chip was my fault, (using teeth to open a plastic bag… Dumb!!).
The chip happens on a Friday and it was 3PM. I called the office and was told that I should call in the next day… on a Saturday??? Yes, I was informed that this office is open the 1^st and 3^rd Sat of most months and that they’d be able to squeeze me in for a quick fill/​repair.
I was in and out of the office in 30 minutes and best of all… NO CHARGE. Couldn’t believe it in this day and age.
My highest 5 star recommendation.

Had horrible pain! They took care of me! Doctor made sure the whole time I was getting my root canal I wasn’t feeling pain or discomfort. Plus is was almost half the price then going somewhere else.

I bought and used a Groupon that offered a «$ 575 total value» in services including a free simple cleaning, exam and «x-​rays», oral-​cancer screening and $ 100 off dental work. They took one quick digital panoramic X-​ray and the dentist told me I needed to spend $ 1,048 for «deep cleaning» in all four quadrants of my mouth without even doing any gum pocket measurements. I was told it was dangerous to do the simple cleaning I paid for and made to sign a waiver before I could have the simple cleaning. The dentist himself did a very brief and rough cleaning while he tried to talk me into the more expensive procedure. I then went to another dentist who measured all my gums, found barely any bleeding and a couple pockets that were a possible problem, but nothing serious.
I did some research online and found that «deep cleaning» is a common way dental offices can make big bucks. Also no one ever checked to find out if I had taken antibiotics ahead of time, as I am required to due to a recent surgery.

Friendliest dental staff I’ve ever met. Extremely helpful. Very professional, clean environment. Short waiting time. They helped me find extremely affordable ways to get my dental work done.
Well worth the two hour drive (from my house)! I am thankful I found this office, they are a true blessing!

I have been a patient at EZ Smile for about a year. I have hopped around from dentist to dentist, but have never found anyone or team that has been as accommodating as EZ. Dr. Behradnia and Dr. Monraz, as well as the assistants, hygenists, and front office staff have been exceptionally professional and extremely knowledgeable. Everyone here is also very friendly! I am so glad to have found them and will continue to be a patient for years to come.

These folks are fantastic! Friendly, fun, timely, and extremely accommodating. They really went out of their way to accommodate my work schedule for an appointment, as well as thoroughly addressed my questions and concerns. They have a very fun and laid back atmosphere which also helps reduce any nerves one might have when going to the dentist. Love them!

Great experience at this dentist! Bought a cleaning through Groupon. Ran into my old friend from high school so that was cool too;) They are very professional here. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dentist that’s affordable too.

I took my 4 year old son here for his first dentist appointment. He was nervous, and Carmen was fantastic! She made him feel very comfortable and even made him laugh. We will be back!

When I was searching on Unilocal for dental services in Santa Rosa, I first experienced dissapointment reading so many negative comments throughout the site. Nonetheless, I spotted Ez Smile Family Dental Group, and I read many good reviews about them. Besides, I got very interested in their Dental Plan for affordable dental coverage, knowing that I was going to spend a considerable amount of money repairing my mouth.
Those good reviews, decided me to give it a try and I scheduled a visit. I was welcome by Dr. Payam Behradnia, who is the CEO, he made a very comprehensive anylisis and diagnosis of my situation, which was critical: a tooth was missing, a crown had been broken and was lost and consequently, I was having enormous pain chewing, which was preventing me from eating well. I was even getting headaches. Dr. Behradnia prepared that same day a thorough dental healthcare plan very well structured and organized by logical phases. The plan was presented and explanined to detail to me by Phil, who is accurate and assertive taking care of the administrative aspects, billing and scheduling.
I was thinking It was going to cost me a leg and an arm, and It would have, but thanks to their EZ plan I could obtain signigicantly lower rates for the many procedures awaiting. I agreed and went ahead. I signed for the plan and began a 4 phases program that was completed over the spam of 2 months.
Doctor Sergio Monraz was assigned to my case and I am very glad about it. He is a total professional, kind, gentle and experienced. Dr. Monraz is excellent communicating with the patient, checking constantly for needs or for pain. He saw me in almost weekly basis to perfom these procedures: 2 root canals, deep cleaning my entire mouth, 4 crowns 1 bridge and 2 fillings. Finaly, I obtained a night dental guard due to my bruxism. The materials they use are the latest generation made with zirconia and specialized for people like me suffering of bruxism. The pieces have the most natural look. The bridge fuses 3 teeth to cover the space left empty by the missing tooth. Both Doctors Monraz and Behradnia assured me the crowns and bridge made of zirconia won’t brake due to excess grinding because of my bruxism. If anything they would just pop up. To prevent that, I got a costume made night guard that is flexible and is easy to wear, fits perfectly, makes me feel protected and it doesn’t bulge like the previous ones I had made of hard plastic. The timings during the whole process where accurate, no delays!
After all the work was done, I began noticing all the changes: I was pain free! Able to safely chew my meals. No more pains or headaches! I regained the ability to open my mouth widely and confidently to smile and laugh. I began feeling more confident and secure. My complete gratitude to you Dr. Monraz and all the team of professionals at Ez family; all of them make your visit a pleasant experience, they are friendly, attentive and willing to help you. I am convinced my choice was right. I made a good investment in my dental health through the services of EZ Smile Family Dental Group. I widely recommed to you their services

The Best Dentists and staff!!! I drive from the East Bay just to see Dr. Payam Behradnia, who has been the best thing that happened to this office!
The front office is so helpful and she is a wonderful patient Advocate that works with your insurance to assure the highest quality care!

My fiancée and I are both very happy with the service we’ve received here at EZ Smile! My fiancée had some hefty surgery done (12 extractions, yikes!) at the end of 2014, and was extremely nervous about it. Dr. B really helped him feel more comfortable and confident about the dentist, and he recommends them to our friends and family in the area!
As for me, I went in for my first check-​up in three years, and I felt so relieved to know I was in pretty good shape. Dr. B gave me a cleaning and had some great advice on whitening and braces for me! If you’re looking for a doctor who is personable, reliable, and very good at what he does, this office is for you!

I recently signed up for Delta Dental USA insurance. They said I needed to pick a dentist in my area and provided a list of 15 dentists. Which one do I pick? So I asked friends if they knew of any of these providers. None were recognized. I then turned to Unilocal and looked at the reviews. The top rated dental provider was EZ Smile Family Dental Group. So I called on April 15 to make an appointment. Only an answering machine picked up and I left a message. No call back. Again on April 16 at 2pm I called and again only got the message machine, and again I left a message. No call back. Then on April 20 at 11:16 am I called and only got the message machine. So I left a message. It is now April 23 and still no call back.
God forbid I would have a dental emergency with this group. They get 4 and 5 stars in reviews yet they do not answer the phones or call their patients back.
I am on to finding a dentist that returns calls and cares about their patients.

I came in after not being to a dentist in almost 7 yrs. I chose them mainly because they accepted my insurance but overall they exceeded my expectations. The Dr. Was pleasant informative cheery and had good bedside manner. The office was clean and modern and for the most part the staff was polite and welcoming. I’m bringing my son in later this month.
I’ll be back!
