Absolutely love this place! The lady’s at BV pet are so helpful and so knowledgable about there products, if they don’t have something they can order it for you. If you have questions they can answer them. I have been coming here for the last 5 years and I will never go anywhere else.

I discovered this place when moving right across the road and love the store! Ashley, the owner is so sweet and makes sure you get everything you need! I have a little shih-​tzu mix who needs specific raw food, (where I can not find anywhere & it costs an arm and a leg online) and she special orders the food in bulk for me! She keeps it in stock, so I can come in and grab it whenever, and she orders more when it is running low, so I don’t have to remember to call her! She goes above and beyond to make her customers satisfied! I would highly recommend shopping here!

I adopted my two orange kitties from this store– through No Boundaries. I love this store– excellent service, knowledgeable employees, and great products. It’s fun visiting with the store pets too– they are cuties. I also love it when they bring in the cat tree guy– I’ve bought a few and they are awesome!

Excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff (don’t be fooled by their young age!) and a good selection of quality products. They also do special orders and call you when they come in, so if you don’t see what you want, ask. It’s also great that they support rescue by having kittens in the store!

Nice caring people work there. They have a large likeable dog and two large handsome pettable catz in residence. They also have wonderful kittez available for adoption (one pure white cat with one light blue and one light yellow eye – beautiful!) All animals (resident and adoptable) are obviously loved, cared about and cared for. Proof is that they are all friendly animals, easygoing and receptive to strangers coming in all day long. Love this store.

I think we all miss those local, neighborhood pet stores that just don’t exist like the used to. I like to take my dog for a walk and a stop in here. The ladies working here are always helpful and friendly, giving my dog treats, and helping to aid her in her training. It’s a fun turn around point for the walk and my dog gets to interact with the resident dog, Brody — one of the few dogs she hit it off with from the start.
My dog loves to sniff around and look at the various critters in the store, though she’s afraid of the rabbits, kittens, chinchilla’s, guinea pigs, but indifferent to the fish. They have some great prices compared with Unleashed and sometimes even Amazon. Prices aside, I’ll keep coming here for the friendly staff and the attention and care they have for their customers (two legged and, of course, four legged).

I won’t return after a bratty, indifferent clerk (pretty sure it wasn’t the owner) was smug and rude to my wife who was trying to purchase single dose advantage packs. We only needed two… not a 4 pack. After my wife asked to buy two, she was told, «We only sell one at a time.» She simply, smugly repeated this even after being informed that we had been buying these in twos/​threes before. She didn’t attempt to explain why, just simply repeated the same mantra several times, causing frustration and embarrassment to the customer, my wife. When I called, she told me it was a big misunderstanding and that she thought her boss (owner) had told her that she could only sell one single dose at at time. She made no apologies for how she acted about it; if anything she seemed defensive about her arrogance. Hey people make mistakes or are misinformed, but the attitude and indignity she posed while during her hours of being «misinformed» were ridiculous. Sorry owner of Bennett Valley Pet Center… one of your clerks is a real bitch to customers. Hope you find better help soon.

Great place to shop. Almost always have what I need, and if not they are happy to order it for me. I enjoy supporting local businesses. Definitely a local one on one feel which I love.

Small store, but they have a decent selection. If they don’t have what you want it in stock, they will order it for you and have it within a week.
I’m impressed with how knowledgable the staff is. Don’t discount what they know because they’re young. Genuinely seem to care about getting you the right stuff for your pet.

I was never impressed about this place until about a year ago, when it was taken over by a new owner. The young intelligent, knowledgeable woman that is always working knows everything about every food, litter, toys and animals in the store. The prices are comparable with other stores and if she doesn’t have it she’ll ordered it. I have been in a time constraint with litter and food and she advise me on other products that were better quality but cheaper in price. Both have worked out for the better. The kittens and cats are all from rescues and well taken care of and she’ll tell you about each ones individual personality. Animal cages are always clean and there are two store cats that happily greet you. Back in April I adopted two sweet, amazing kittens from her store and she always remembers their new names and asks about their well being.

What a wonderful find. We lack these types of pet stores these days! Not only do they carry some wonderful products but they carry raw and frozen bones and delicious treats that are super healthy. They have also special ordered things for me before and it’s in within a couple days. I’ve even ordered my dogs vaccinations here before. By far the best thing about this store are the two girls who work there. Both the owner and the other are two of the most intelligent, animal smart people I’ve met. Don’t let their young age fool you, they know their stuff! I have learned more from them about the best litter (especially for picky kitties) and the best types of food for the specific animal. I’ve even gotten great advice on how to feed a kitten, normal cat and overweight cat in the same house with the same food! Something you don’t think can happen! Also, you can’t beat the prices. For a «hole in the wall» pet store, this is where it’s at. As someone else noted, the adoption events and special events they do are great, too. They’ll even have big discounts for the events, too. Highly recommended!

Great customer service and products! I got my dog stairs here and the dark haired gal was very helpful in specially ordering exactly what I wanted and called me the second they came in. I’ve also purchased various other products from here too. Great quality and prices. And since new ownership, I’ve seen vast improvements. I can’t say enough great things about this place.

Love this place! Knowledgeable friendly staff and they care about food quality. They participate in animal rescue, it feels good to support a pet store that cares about the animals they sell products for.

I live right down the street from this store, and always shop for my pets here. It is a smaller place and they don’t carry everything, but what they do have is high quality and I find things there I can’t seem to find at other places, at reasonable prices. (such as specialty treats, x-​large raincoat for my dog, etc) They can also order anything for you and have it pretty fast. The owner is really friendly and knowledgeable along with other staff members.
They also frequently have adoption events & whatnot which I think is important and says a lot about their priorities!

I was impressed with the girl at the counter when I came in here. She looked like your typical mini high school kid who worked here because when you are that age ‘a job is a job’ but once she she asked what I was looking for and I told her, she showed me she really knew her stuff.
She talked all about the different foods and which one might be best for my dog in particular, and also about the shampoos they carry, and helped me find exactly what I needed.

The place is eeeemmmmpptttyy. And smells like urine. The prices on the few things they stock are reasonable though.
