Whether you’re looking for today’s latest releases or yesterday’s cherished classics, you’ll find a personable and knowledgeable team ready to help. We also offer an impressive selection of kid and family-​friendly titles, documentaries, British and international titles, plus LGBT films. What we may not have immediately, every team member is happy to do everything possible to obtain, as quickly as the very next day!

Rent or buy with confidence. Every disc is thoroughly inspected before leaving our store, and if needed is professionally polished to assure playability. We also offer this service for a nominal fee should you have your own scratched CD’s, DVD’s or game discs that you’d like to have fixed.

History

Established in 2006.

Surprising some who perceived the era of the video rental store to be over, industry veteran Joe Kaminski purchased struggling «All Star Video» in Santa Rosa in August of 2005. And in March 2006, he completed the purchase of «Box Office Video» in Santa Rosa’s Bennett Valley. After an intensive makeover plus the addition of many new titles and categories, both locations enjoyed great feedback from both new and long-​established customers.

Today, with the ever more plentiful streaming services offering much of the same content, Joe and his team strive to make every visit to Joe Video a preferred alternative to the impersonal quality of the internet or electronic kiosk, providing a more rewarding experience for every customer by being attentive and engaging, making personal recommendations, fulfilling special requests, and offering attractive rental and sale bundle pricing that fits most everyone’s viewing schedule and budget.

Business Owner

Joe has been in the Video Store business since 1984 when he was hired by a mom & pop company in Santa Rosa called Eastman Video to be the Assistant Manager at their recently opened second location. Within two years, Joe was promoted to be the growing chain’s Marketing Director, in charge of advertising and merchandising until the nine store chain was acquired by Hollywood Video in the early nineties. As the video industry boomed, Joe moved on and rode the wave to ultimately become the Vice President and General Manager of another locally owned eleven store chain named Bradley Video, which won the Small Retailer of the Year industry award in 2001.

In 2003, Joe took a break from retail and joined the nonprofit world, serving Face to Face Sonoma County AIDS Network as its Prevention Education Director until late 2007.

Today, Joe is happily back in retail management, with the added excitement (?) of being an independent small business owner.
