Simonson W I Pre-Owned

Went to see a few cars today and had the misfortune of meeting Gavik (not sure of spelling) for a couple test drives. He promptly greeted me but ignored my fiancée. Not cool. But she shrugged it off and decided to stay and see what they had. After expressly letting the «sales guy» know exactly what I was hoping to learn, he by passed my requests and tried to steer us in the direction of a car with the opposite type of suspension I wanted. He seemed bothered to check their inventory for a car that matched my needs and found it easier to point to cars that were situated conveniently on the lot to show. How on earth does that end up being convenient? All he managed to do was waste everybody’s time. (On a side note, the guy never asked to see my license before having me drive one of their cars. What an idiot!)
Further, when I asked about a particular car’s towing capacity he seemed annoyed and shrugged off the question. An appropriate response would have been: «I’m not sure but I’m happy to find out».
What I had envisioned being an enjoyable potential purchase turned out to be a highly irritating experience that has me never wanting to return.
This is in stark contrast with the experience I had at Beverly Hills Audi. The sales staff there were incredible! I wish I could have taken their sales team to help me in comparison shopping at Mercedes.

Is it stressful and irritating to shop for a vehicle? Of course it is But if you work or live on the West Side and are in the market for a pre-​owned German sports or luxury car (or other high-​quality used car) why not visit W.I. Simonson in Santa Monica? You will find a great selection of cars treated with TLC (shop for your used vehicle on one side of the street, complete the transaction on the other side where the new car dealership is).
Ask for Hutch; you will be treated with patience and consideration and I daresay you will not be disappointed. I purchased a lovely BMW and I just want to say thank you !

I have worked with many car dealerships over the years, but this is my first used Mercedes-​Benz deal. Maybe they are all this good, but I doubt it. I walked onto the lot and met Andrew, who answered all my questions, displaying a detailed knowledge of the cars. I got all the answers I needed, without any pressure, only courteous response.
The next day I was back with the prospective buyer. After a few preliminary questions and refreshment, Andrew took us on the most thorough test drive any salesperson has ever offered me. He encouraged the client to actually drive the car, hard. We did a U-​turn on a narrow street, accelerated hard, and were introduced to the service manager.
In the sales manager’s office, Hamlet was fast and efficient. Andrew made good on his offer of a discount off the «Sonic» price (which is supposed to be firm).
Hamlet is the only sales manager I’ve encountered who actually asked permission to run a credit check. He also filled out the entire credit application for the client, which used to be common but seems to have gone out of favor at most dealers.
The F&I manager, Marc, is a bit of a character, fun and fast, going through all the usual stuff and finishing up in quick order.
Andrew demonstrated the features of the car including pairing the client’s phone, but understanding how overwhelming all the features of modern cars can be, offered to do it in installments.
I’d like to get into detail about all the extra stuff they did but you need to experience it to believe it.
This is the third or fourth car I’ve helped this client with, and by far the best experience we’ve had. I admit I have had some bad experiences at Santa Monica dealerships but I will not hesitate to recommend W. I. Simonson to those in the market for a Certified Pre-​Owned Mercedes-​Benz.

Approximately 2 weeks ago, I began the stressful process of getting a new car. I looked at Audi, Lexis, BMW, and Mercedes Benz. After much research and testimonials, I finally found the car, that met everything on my wish list.
Making that decision was not easy, being that I have been driving «Porsche» sport cars since 1975, and knew very little to nothing about alternative car brands. I finally found myself sitting in what I thought would be the «Hot Box», of W. I Simonson Mercedes Benz in Santa Monica. I had prepared myself for the worst, when the negotiation began? I was quite pleasantly surprised, that the process was smooth and painless. My salesman, Andrew Morgan and his associate, Chris, were helpful, informative, and professional. We quickly established a great deal for both of us. They even offered to purchase my prior vehicle, for a very fair price, which I didn’t have to do? Anyway, my experience was positive and unlike what myself, and most people expect? I would recommend this «Certified Pre-​Owned Mercedes Dealership» to anyone that asked. I love the car, and have even gone back several times for help, on how to work some of this car’s amazing technology. Each time, Andrew Morgan, has taken time, to help me learn the system better. He has also answered his cell phone every time that I have called. A rare occurrence in 2015? I am extremely pleased with my end result. Thank You Andrew, Chris, and «Simonson Mercedes Benz»

Damien Wheat client advocate was such a pleasure to work with. i called to find out about a car and made an appointment to come in and traded in my porsche for a 2003 coupe which is in great condition with 30,000 miles on it. my credit was not the greatest but Damien and the credit dept worked through my issues and got me financing and i left with the car. The patience he had and the time he took to make sure i understood how the car worked made my day. IF you need a used or new mercedes call Damien Wheat. i am so happy and thank you.

I purchased a used car. I was told that the car went through a thorough safety inspection before being sold. I asked several times about the condition and safety of the car, as I’m afraid of getting taken when buying used cars. I was again guaranteed the car was thoroughly inspected by Mercedes Benz technicians and is in perfect working condition. The next day, I took the car to a VW dealership to purchase an extended warranty. They had to inspect the car themselves before issuing the warranty and I was told AND shown the rear shocks were leaking and they had to be replaced. I was told this was not a new problem and that anyone doing a «safety/​bumper to bumper» inspection would have seen this problem. I got the shocks fixed as W I Simonson told me several times that it would not cover the cost to have them replaced, even after guarantees were given to me that the car went through a bumper to bumper inspection and was in perfect condition. I tried to compromise with the dealership like (1) I pay for the parts and they do the labor, NO. (2) We go half on the repairs, NO. (3) I purchase the shocks and W I Simonson do the labor, NO. The only option I was given was to bring the car back, as it was cheaper for them to «refund my money and sell it wholesale». They even went so far as to give me the name of a mechanic outside of their dealership that would repair the shocks for less than the VW dealership. All these options were given even though they guaranteed me that the car was in perfect working condition. Selling vehicles under these practices is truly a practice of bad faith. Beware of this dealership.
