History

Established in 2012.

Santa Monica FIAT opened in May 2012 and is part of The Auto Gallery dealership network. Founded in 2001, The Auto Gallery has grown from three to ten franchises in the Los Angeles area and recently expanded to Scottsdale, Arizona. We currently operate factory authorized dealerships for Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, McLaren, Pagani, and FIAT.

In 2014, our FIAT store will participate to the re launch of the Alfa Romeo brand in the US by offering the new 4C for sale.

The Auto Gallery group is getting bigger! In 2014, we acquired Maserati of Beverly Hills and took over Van Nuys FIAT. We now have three McLaren dealerships in Los Angeles and in Scottsdale, Arizona, a Porsche store, an Audi dealer, a Lamborghini dealership, two FIAT dealerships and two Maserati locations.

I am personally a fan of BMW, but ended up here to drop a friend off. After she told me about the great deal she got, I looked into a Fiat for my mom. She is the previous owner of a spider, but I know she is interested in a VW. Well, Cameron was great to deal with… direct, no b.s., honest. I ended up buying my mom one, and am planning to return to get the new spider myself. Everyone who works there is great, except the woman you have to give your money to. She made it seem like I was inconveniencing her, walking in off the street paying cash for a car. 1 star off for her crappy demeanor… she’s the only bad part of this experience.

Shawn is very curteous, James greet customers with a great attitude. Jon the general manager is very invoved with his customer’s satisfaction. I have never had so much attetion from a car dealership, even with Mercedes-​Benz dealership, they were horrible. I give this place a 5++. tthis place the moment you step foot in, you feel like you will get an honest deal from Jon. no tricks, or gimmics. I definitely recommend this place. I am planning on upgrading to a 500x.
on the other hand, since I live in the valleys, I took my car to VAN NUYS FIAT. oh boy! I have a horrific experience with the Van nuys Fiat! the service guy is rude. He wouldn’t give a crap, its an assembly line service, he doesn’t listen to what you want to get fix. worst of all. I left my car there for a total of 3 days, they did nothing, they told me thats just how fiat runs when I asked them to check on the clicking noise it makes with ever turn. Nope! thats how a fiat works as I was told. My concern is, if thats how Fiat works, as consumers, do we really want to invest in a car with 30k and starts to make clunky noises? VAN NUYS FIAT might be the same owner? but they sure don’t care for you. they don’t think every customer is a potential returning customer. That service person either needs a customer service facelift or be gone. I strongly advise to not go there, they are worthless and waist your time. definitely wouldn’t recommend van muys Fiat! :-)

I have leased two cars from this dealer. Each time they have dropped the ball. I have been waiting over ten days to get the signed paperwork from my recent lease. When I call I get the run around. There is no follow through at all. This paperwork is very important, it is needed to get a $ 2500 California state rebate.
I had the same type of problem with the first lease I did with this dealer were the dealer never forwarded some bonus that were part of the lease deal for free car rentals.
On the first lease I felt it was an honest mistake. Now I feel that they just don’t car and that is worse than being incompetent.

The worst service ever! My husband and I were very disappointed with the sales department. We first got a deal thru a birder and we didn’t like the offer and the way the broker handled our request, changing their price, so we went to a broker I personally know. He gave us a firm deal and we went with his office. Eventually the fleet manager told the sales person that we switched brokers. That’s a no no in my book.
Second, we never got a spare key, it took them almost 7 months to get it for us and the person in charge who was handling it apparently was no longer with the sales team and no one knew anything about our key. Finally we get it. After waiting 3 hours, and this was with appointment!
Recently, I called to check on the rental program we were offered at the time of lease singing and no one was 100% helpful, as if it was not an important question we had, tried to tell us to check our previous emails from last year to get the coupon and we were told the email may have gone to the spam. When I asked what if the spam emails were automatically deleted after all this time, and we don’t have a way of getting that coupon number, we were told to go back to the application and access out notifications! Very helpful info! Yeah right. I wouldn’t recommend their customer service or service at all. Very disappointed.

Best car buying experience ever! First of all I was nervous about buying a car because of negative experiences in the past. Buying my last car was like a nightmare dealing with aggressive, fast talking car salesmen. But purchasing a car here was a completely different experience.
Charlie was my car salesman. But he felt more like a friend. He is an absolute gentleman and very knowledgable about the Fiats. He assessed my needs/​wants in a car and showed me all the possibilities. He ensured that I had an adequate test drive. He made sure I was comfortable with every step of the car buying process, almost like an uncle would :-). And after purchasing the car he gave me great tips on operating it.
Alex, the finance guy was great too. He was not in a rush or pushy. His top priority was to ensure I was making informed decisions. There was a real family feel to the dealership. They even gave me a ride to drop off my rental car because I didn’t have anyone with me. I walked away with a new car and feeling like I made new friends. I definitely would recommend them to my loved ones and friends.

Charlie was an absolute pleasure to work with, and our overall experience at Fiat Santa Monica was a breath of fresh air.
We have leased cars both at Honda SaMo and Toyota SaMo and this has been our best experience so far — from drive test to keys on our hands took only 3 hours!!! We appreciate how knowledgeable and helpful Charlie was without being pushy or rude — unlike the staff of some dealerships like Kia downtown and Fiat OC. Also, Alex was a superstar getting us informed about all the paper work in 16 min — we timed it– including time for Q&A! I’m very, very happy with my Fiat 500e. Besides it having great interior design, it drivers better than a leaf and has a smaller blind spot than a chevy spark. We appreciate how the staff at Fiat Santa Monica, specially Charlie, was so professional and did not steal time out of our weekend. If you are not sure about getting a Fiat 500e, go for a test drive and the chances are that you will fall in love!

I’ve had the best car-​buying experience at Santa Monica Fiat Auto Gallery! I purchased a beautiful Granito Lucente Fiat 500 Pop, with the help of the wonderful Charlie Zsiga (Product Specialist). He is such a pleasure to work with! Charlie is super-​knowledgeable, and found the best car for me (he was also the perfect host and got me food while I waited)!! Also instrumental in my awesome purchase were Starr (who handled all the financial and DMV paperwork); and Alex (finance) and Jon (the GM) found the best deal possible for me! The whole team was great — LOVE my car, and I would definitely recommend Santa Monica Fiat to anyone in the market for a Fiat (or Alfa)!

I have a 2012 FIAT 500 that I have taken to Santa Monica FIAT on time for every required, scheduled maintenance since I purchased the car. At my last visit, my tires were rotated resulting in significant tire road noise. When I asked them why, they said the tires had become unevenly worn. I asked them to check my record to see when the tires had last been rotated. They said they had never been rotated in the four years that I have been taking my car there even though it is listed as part of the required maintenance. I asked why, and they said I must have told them I didn’t want them rotated which, of course, I never have said.
It has always been my experience that when a car is taken in for the scheduled maintenance, all items on the list are performed. This was confirmed when I called four other local FIAT dealers, but not so at Santa Monica FIAT. It makes me wonder what other maintenance has NOT been performed on my vehicle over the years. I was told that I needed new tires even though the tires only have 25,000 miles on them and that they have no responsibility for the situation.
I asked for the General Manager’s number and when I finally reached him after several days, he said he would check into it and get back to me. That was weeks ago. I have called multiple times and he is either gone or his message mailbox is full. I have been in contact with FIAT USA every couple of days and they have not been able to get the General Manager to call me either. They have been unwilling to put me in contact with an Area Supervisor saying they are not allowed to give out that information.
I don’t know how, or when, this will be resolved. But I will say this. .. a lot of people ask me how I like my FIAT and from now on they will get a much different answer. This dealer has no sense of responsibility, they cannot be trusted and I am amazed that the FIAT brand allows their dealers to treat their customers in this fashion with seemingly no interest or ability to do anything about it.

Just bought a great used car from this dealership. From top to bottom the coustomer service was nothing less then amazing. Cameron Morgan was in charge of helping me with my purchase. Cameron was very professional and prompt with any questions or concerns that I had via email, text or over the phone. He made the process quick and painless as anyone who has ever bought a car before knows it can be the complete opposite. I had a trade in and they paid off the rest of my loan with a little extra on top to put towards my down payment. If anyone is looking to buy a new or used car this is the place. Top notch vehicles with top notch coustomer service. Highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a great car.

Isaac is the best!!!
My lease was ending on my Infiniti Q50 and I wanted to get something cheap and low key since all my liquid is going into my new business. I’m an auto broker myself but I only deal with high end and exotic so unfortunately my connections don’t reach Fiats. I called the dealership and Isaac was kind enough to get back to me ASAP.
I filled out the application online and Isaac really worked hard on getting me a great deal with NO HAGGLE whatsoever (even though in my line of work I’m always ready for a fight, but he did such a great job there was no way to get the price any lower).
Unfortunately I ended up deciding to not have a car at all so I ended up not getting the car but if I had the experience would have the quickest and the most painless personal car purchase I’ve ever had!!!
So if you’re here for a Fiat then ask for Isaac and tell him Renata’s review sent you ;)

My representative that helped me through this process, Neil, was Extremely helpful and calming. I had a preowned Volvo previously, in the time it was going through complications. I decided to do the logical thing and trade it in for a new car. But the Volvo dealership and sales person ended up giving me not only poor salesmanship but a low trade in offer for my Volvo.
Instead, I called up the Santa Monica Fiat Dealership, where the manager, Montana, answered my prayers ^_​^ He was my Knight in Shining Armor in my situation and kindly told me that they can help. Once I was out of the Volvo Claws, I drove straight over and was cradled in the kindness and hospitality the FIAT family had to offer.
Neil and the company were able to offer a larger amount for my car trade-​in, over Volvo’s, which helped immensely with my financing situation. I will always be thankful and will refer anyone who is interested in getting a new car to go to this location.
My stress days of car break downs and frustration in general are far behind me with the support I’ve had with this company and experience.
*Though, I hope my cd’s, that I forgot to take out of the car can be recovered. They didn’t expect to have the Volvo be picked up so quickly from the lot. (FIGERS-​CROSSED) :S

First off let me say how amazed I am with this dealership. Went in on a Friday just to look at a car for my mom. As we were browsing we had a wonderful guy by the name of Collin start helping browse and answer our questions. My mom was adamant to not test drive a car… But she fell in love and we went for a ride. Collin was AMAZING, he answered all of our questions and really listened to everything we absolutely wanted in a car. When it came down to decision time, we decided to make a deal… We then met an amazing guy named John. John was fantastic and he made the whole process soooo easy. They were really professional and very kind. They did absolutely everything they needed to do in order for us to get the perfect deal. We signed the papers that night– and Collin was even kind enough to deliver it the next day.
The weekend passed then we decided it was time for me to get a new car. I was soooo impressed with the gentlemen and the dealership I decided to go back for my round… Now my deal wasn’t as easy but everyone was so whiling and so helpful to try to get me approved. It was another day and a new set of staff but all were just as amazing. Thomasa was fantastic and was really eager to negotiate a fantastic deal. Needless to say the whole staff was amazing. Including Chris and Starr and the rest of the gang.

Yet another AMAZING experience at Santa Monica Fiat! Thank you, Jon, Chris, and Alex!
When I purchased my lease on my first Fiat 500 Sport (please see earlier review), I worked with Jon and he was professional and a pleasure. I got a chance to work with him again and could not have been happier.
After I got an email from Jon on the Fiat 500X specials (what a great interactive, user-​friendly email BTW!), Jon and I emailed for about a week over some questions I had regarding the X. Before I came into the dealership, he helped answer any questions I had a reassured me that the team would do what they could to get my payment where I wanted and the vehicle I wanted.
And he was truthful. My experience at the dealership was wonderful! Jon came out and said hi and introduced me to Chris. Chris was a kind, patient, and knowledgeable rep. Jon gave Chris the quick rundown of why I was there and what I wanted. Chris jumped into showing me the X vehicles and asking which I wanted to test drive. I explained what I wanted in my vehicle and he let me test drive one that would work best for what I was looking for — the trecking X.
Stepping into the vehicle, I was so happy with the look and feel. It was exactly what I was looking for with the spaciousness of it, the technology, the relaxed look, the comfy seats, etc. I was extremely pleased and excited. My boyfriend was with me again this time and Chris allowed him to sit in the front with me during my test drive. (Again, how sweet!) My boyfriend loved the passenger seat! Chris took us on the best test drive of my new X, through the streets of Santa Monica and PCH. I got to test different terrains which was helpful in choosing that the X was the right next vehicle for me. It was a great drive and felt «right».
And then, when negotiating, it was a very easy and painless experience, which I know is not always the case. Chris and Jon worked with me to get the pricing I wanted for the vehicle I wanted. And then to finish it up, the finance experience with Alex was quick and painless as well.
Everyone at Santa Monica Fiat is a pleasure to work with and very understanding. (Including the wonderful experiences I had with Maintenance during my first 3 years with my Fiat 500.) I appreciate the great experiences and am so excited about my new X! Thank you! :)

I have been leasing cars through another car dealership for many, many years and really wanted a fiat. I was concerned to go somewhere else because my current dealership always took really good care of me. Just for information, I did TruCar and Santa Monica Fiat had some great prices. Cam contacted me immediately but I thought that I needed to wait until my current lease was up. After getting lots of information from Cam and then from Jon, I made an appointment to check it out. They bought me out of my leased vehicle and I drove away with a beautiful Fiat today! Exactly what I wanted! My experience with them was really great, their guest service was exceptional and they made my experience easy and enjoyable. How many times can you say buying a car is enjoyable. LOVE them!

I would like to start off with saying my experience at Santa Monica Fiat was by far the exact opposite of what many would expect from a car dealership. Santa Monica Fiat went against all of the negative views of the car business; they were polite, helpful, not pushy, and really looked at every option for me.
They have exceptional customer service; from the moment I pulled onto their lot I was greeted with a «Hello, welcome to Santa Monica Fiat!» The best part is that I didn’t get bombarded by 10 sales people all trying to sell me a car. I was able to browse around a bit before I was approached to see if I had any questions.
I met with Montana Pelak who is the Used Car sales manager there. He and I had been emailing back and forth for a few days about a pre-​owned Audi that they had on their lot. He worked around my work schedule to accommodate my time which was great because I work 9 – 7 during the week. He never made me feel like if I didn’t get in instantly that the car would be gone forever. Not pushy at all, I hate pushy that was a big turn off from other dealerships.
He then introduced me to the other manager, Jon, both of them fully guided me through this process and thoroughly answered every question that I had in regards to financing and trading in a vehicle (I had a lot as this was my first big purchase). When it came down to it they gave more than I even expected for my trade, sold me their Audi for a very fair price, and got me an APR lower than my student loans LOL. Montana has continued to follow up with me from time to time just to check on everything and make sure I continue to be satisfied with my purchase. Which to me shows it was more than just about making a deal.

I been driving a lease electric Fiat. Everyone keeps asking me about the car, it has a cool appearance and drives excellent. You have great benefits such as free Fast Track lanes, free charging stations, free parking in (SANTA MONICA only). Also you get rebates from the state. It’s comfortable and economic. In March 2015, after dealing with several junk cars from various places, I finally decided to try and purchase a a newer preowned car that wouldn’t crap out on me after a couple of months. After a few days of researching I found this dealership and decided to give them a try. I want to note that I absolutely loathe trying to negotiate deals with a dealership service representative because we all know their goal is to lowball you and make a profit, after all it is a business. And there is no way I was going to spend hours negotiating with some sales rep who’s only interest is bleeding my wallet dry.
So at this dealership I spoke with a representative whose name was Chris. Chris gave me a good flat price on a preowned 2012 Honda Accord that was actually on par with the market price. The car itself had no damage, no scratches, a very clean interior, a well detailed engine. For a three year old vehicle it was in a great condition, made more enticing by a realistic price point and a new car smell. Beyond a couple of back and forth negotiations with Chris I was able to take the car home within the week. It was an EXTREMELY seamless experience only made better by the fact that I didn’t have to deal with the normal BS with most other dealerships I went to. Quite honestly this is one of the only experience’s where I could say that my sales rep was genuinely trying to help me out and make a deal.
The car itself is still running like new with it’s only demand being gas, a couple of oil changes, and some air for the tires. Beyond that i haven’t had to replace any major parts and it has not once broken down on me, unlike the other cars I have had. Chris was also nice enough to check in a couple of times to make sure that the car was running well enough and that there were no major issues. No other service rep has ever taken the time to do that. I mean a quick call like that really leaves a lasting a impression.
I am very happy with my purchase and very grateful to have found a car dealership that was able to sell a serviceable vehicle at a reasonable price.

Never had a bad experience at the Santa Monica Fiat. I had to renew my lease from my first Fiat (which I got a the Santa Monica Fiat) and knew without a doubt I wanted another one. I started asking them questions about the process last November and they have been very helpful and patient until I drove off with my new Fiat yesterday. I recommend to go there 100%. Jon, the manager, helped me 3 years ago on my first Fiat and again yesterday. He made the process nice and easy AND quick. Go test drive with Charlie, you want regret it. He answered all my questions making sure I understood everything and always followed up.

I don’t have a lot of time to waste on negative experiences today, but I owe one to the community regarding experiences out there.
I made over 8 attempts to schedule the return of a leased vehicle from them over the course of a week. Never did I get one response. I was constantly being told, this person was out of town, that person would call me back, etc. etc. Left a small mountain of voice mails to no avail. If you want to buy a car, you probably won’t experience this problem but regarding leasing, that could be another story. Although, on second thought, I just remembered. I never did get any email responses when I inquired about leasing another car from them once my lease was up. I just moved on to a Prius.
It’s all too bad because I did enjoy my lease of the car itself. By the way, whatever you do, do your very best to avoid financing through ALLY. Go ahead and Google Ally Bank and their complaints —
. You will be astonished! Avoid at any and every cost. Hope this helps!

I’ve never written a review of a car dealership before though I’ve had two Prius, (Priui for plural? :), an SUV, three VW’s and now a FIAT!
This car dealership is amazing — it’s where I got my 500e. The manager (I think his name is Tomasso) feels more like the owner of a restaurant with his welcoming Italian nature vibe. Issac, one of the salesman, was extremely helpful in selling and delivering my car to me. I really liked him. James, in service, always does an impeccable job and makes my life very simple.
I mostly pop in for service there and it’s never too crowded, and I always get in and out efficiently and without any issues. Out of all the dealerships I know this one is so STRESS FREE and I appreciate it so much! They let me charge my car when I need it, they often wash the car for me as well. They have free WiFi in the lounge.
The only thing that would take them over the top for me is if they offer free donuts to their customers who are waiting for service (like Toyota often does.) But that’s just a dream and not a criticism in any way. :)
Thanks Fiat for your excellent service all around.
By the way, I feel really strongly that we should all be driving ELECTRIC vehicles. I don’t see ANY reasons to keep driving an OIL driven vehicle based on all our climate instability and pollution/​economic issues worldwide. Support clean air and be gentle to mother EARTH (and your pocketbook) with a HYBRID or ELECTRIC car!

I had a great experience leasing a Fiat 500e from Fiat Santa Monica. After doing my research and going through TrueCar to find dealers and prices, I’d visited Fiat Glendale on a whim to look at the car — they told me there were none left within 75 miles of LA. But Fiat Santa Monica had what I wanted. (Too bad Glendale.)
I traded a few emails with the fleet manager to negotiate the lease details and headed in the next day to seal the deal. There was no hard sell, everything was as it should be. Cameron Morgan took perfect care of us through the process, taking the time to set up the accompanying app, send us all the relevant rebate links, and show us some of the quirks of the car (our first electric.) Both he and Star in finance drive 500e’s, so they were able to talk about it from experience.
I got a great deal, and got none of the icky vibe one gets at so many dealerships. Happy customer.

This review is for the return process for a fiat at the end of the lease period.
We leased the fiat three years ago at fiat South bay. However due to their abominable customer services were prevented to return the car there.
Thank goodness Fiat Santa Monica was a solution. One call was enough to secure a return appt the next day at 4 pm with Isaac.
When we arrived at the office at 4 pm Isaac helped us swiftly and very courteously. The whole process took less than 5 minutes! Isaac restored my faith in Fiat customer service. Highly recommend dealing with the fiat Santa Monica office if you’re interested in a fiat in the South bay area.
