Seaside Medical Practice – Nasimeh Yazdani, MD

My husband & I are both big fans of Dr Yazdani, and put our healthcare needs confidently in her capable hands. I appreciate that her approach is holistic, in that treatment focuses on the whole person, and not just the treatment of an isolated symptom. We feel a real collaboration, a partnership in our wellbeing. As my husband states: «she listens better than any male doctor» (and it’s true!)
With Dr Yazdani’s guidance, our healthcare has definitely risen to the next level.
I haven’t sought cosmetic services there, as many Unilocalers seem to have done. But my experience has been rewarding in that I’ve found an outstanding physician, in whom I put full trust.
Recently, that became a crucial issue, as I faced a frightening medical ordeal.
Dr Yazdani was accessible around the clock (trips to the ER seem to always happen in the wee hours for me). She coordinated my care & called in favors and physicians to my bedside. We were both so glad to have her professional oversight of the situation!
Under her care, I’ve since recovered, and can wholeheartedly endorse her professional abilities, dedication to her patients, and work ethic.
She is AWESOME

Beware! I had dysport performed at Seaside. It was my first time at this office but had it done numerous times at other places. I explained to the doctor that I would not need 50 units and that I usually do great with 30 units especially because I didn’t want a frozen face. She convinced me that there is no way 30 would be enough and since she was the expert I agreed. Now I have way too much dysport in my forehead. I constantly look tired because my eyebrows are falling on my eye lids. My forehead is absolutely frozen and she clearly injected too much. Not a good look. Do not trust them since the just care about selling as much as possible. horrible place.

I highly recommend Dr. Yazdani. If you are looking for a Dr. that is
skilled, warm, meticulous and puts you at ease, she is the one.

I can’t tell you how very pleased I was with the outcome, I had No bruising.
The terrible reviews are so unfair. She is an artist in her own right.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Yazdani for over a year for fillers and Botox/​Dysport. I had to switch practitioners as my original doctor of 30 yrs. was moving. I was very concerned choosing a new doctor for my cosmetic injectables. I thought I would never find someone as good.
In fact, in Dr. Yazdani I found someone BETTER! She makes sure she understands the desired effect you want. She fills carefully and precisely and balances the features. She recommends correction in areas that went without your noticing and in which she is completely accurate! Small adjustments that upturn a mouth, «bunny lines», minute fixes that don’t even use much product with the syringe of filler you are already injecting.
As if a good cosmetic doctor isn’t enough, Seaside Medical Practice also has a Belly program. For every dollar you spend on services and products you earn points towards services and products!

Dr. Yazani and her physician assistant Christine are simply the best. I trust both of these women to inject Botox or dysport into my face. The results each time I do these procedures are absolutely incredible. They are both extremely professional and make you feel so comfortable when visiting there office.

This is my second time coming here, I love this place. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Yazdani is fantastic! I recommend this office over any office in LA!

Dr. Yazdany has been my doctor for many years and I only have positive things to say about her. She is compassionate, professional and caring. The first time I went to see her I had many medical conditions. She spent considerable time identifying them and made sure I understood everything. Because of her I am feeling 100% healthier and I am very grateful to her. I love Dr. Yazdany and I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Yazdani is absolutely wonderful. She listens, is attentive and identified my medical issue right away. I’ve been receiving treatment by doctor Yazdani for a year and I’ve never felt better. I have referred other patients to her and will continue to do so.

I went in happy and hopeful! Came out confused and dejected. I don’t know why I didn’t read the reviews beforehand… Now I know!
The Office manager took my license, and then took a picture of me… I asked why, I already purchased the botox. It’s standard, ya never know what kind of people you get in here.
Okay, so I’m taken back to the room to wait, and Christine comes in and I ask her if I can spread the 50ius from the forehead to the crows feet. She makes a sniffy squint at me and repeats me. I say yes, let’s do 5 iu 2 places each eye, then the rest on the forehead… She looks at me as if I just insulted her. She says, «what do you mean?» again. and she takes out the syringe, I say there, the 5 iu mark. 2 on each side, that’s 20 ius, then the rest on the forehead… we go back and forth with her getting more and more irritated. I said okay I guess we can just do the forehead. She turns and says, I will ask the doctor…
The Office manager returns and tells me Christine refuses service, and to get my refund back from Groupon. I say we can just do the forehead.” She says «no».“you can just get your refund.“
I’m confused at this point, and say «I wasn’t confrontational at all, I just asked a question.»
She turns and leads me out the door.
So, No!!! Big Fat NO! I would not recommend this place for a hangnail let alone facial treatment!!!

Above and beyond. Dr. Yazdani is the most thorough, warmest doctor I’ve ever been a patient of, and I am fortunate enough to have some amazing doctors! Parking is a drag, but once you’re there she really listens and gives thoughtful feedback to all of your health tangents.

I went into the office for my initial visit.
Unfortunately I was NOT seen by Dr. Yazdani and the «One Area» as stated in fine print on Group-​on was confusing to say the least.
Instead I was seen by Christine who bypassed the consultation) and things that could go wrong.
I was very unhappy with the results done by Christine (who is licensed to do the injections) I was bruised and left with a lump on my forhead.
Left several messages and finally was able to meet with the Doctor.
Update;

I went back to the office and met with Dr. Yazdani.
I paid for 70 units more to fix the problem.
I was frustrated and disappointed at my initial results and to pay extra but, Dr. Yazdani was very professional and spoke to me on how the problem can be resolved. So, I took a chance.
Update;

The original problem was resolved and my face did bruise a little, but I really really like the outcome, and glad she told about the other areas that needed it.
Dr. Yazdani even called today to see how things were.
I actually recommended her to my colleges. (As long as they are done by Dr. Yazdani)

The good:
— Receptionist was discreet; I don’t care if people know I use Botox/​Dysport, but that’s a good quality.
— I didn’t wait long for my appointment, maybe 10 mins.
The bad:
— I bought a Groupon for 50 units of Dysport. I didn’t notice that it said for 1 area only; my bad. 50 Units has been enough for me for the past 5 years for my forehead and eyes since I don’t like being too stiff, and I’m still relatively young. If I buy the product I should be able to inject it into my butt for all they should care, and limiting it to one area is nothing more than a sales tactic. They can warn me if they like, but not prevent me from doing what I want!
— I wasn’t seen by the Dr, only the PA, and when I challenged her on their «one area» policy she because rude and argumentative. Even tried to tell me that it’s an investment, because more will last longer. While it might have a slight influence, there does not exist a linear correlation.
— While I can’t prove anything, it felt as if she injected me with very little.
— When I asked if they validate parking I got a flat-​out «no». 36 Mins was $ 6.

Horrible place, don’t buy the Groupon, I don’t know how I didn’t read the reviews before coming here. The front office ruined my appointment twice and I am still waiting to be seen for my 1:15 appt which I arrived 10 minutes early for and now it’s 1:45. I told them if they don’t see me in the next 10 minutes I am asking for a refund with Groupon and luckily they haven’t redeemed by Groupon yet.
1:48 they take me in the room and want to take before pictures??? Stop wasting my time I have never had pictures taken and definitely don’t want any from this place.
It better be the doctor herself that is going to do the botox or else that will be another reason why I walk out of here.
I am a sucker, the doctor convinced me to pay $ 80 more for my forehead and I agree I need it. I still won’t come back just because the front office is horrible.

Unfortunately the Groupon states it would cover one area! When I arrived & finally saw the doctor, she advised me this was an «introductory price» and then stated I would need to fork out several hundred dollars more to cover the one area.
Instead of paying more, I asked for a refund due to an unfortunate financial situation I’m in and the doctor stated I could «give it away.» I did not purchase this to spend an additional several hundred dollars!
I think it should be disclosed that for some people, particularly males, this would NOT be sufficient to cover one area!
I was also informed that Dysport was NOT equivalent to Botox and that Dysport only does about one third of what Botox does, despite what I have researched online!
I cannot spend an additional $ 300 for Dysport just for the forehead even though I ONLY have wrinkles when I frown really strongly! I left WITHOUT the treatment and without a refund! The doctor actually said, «you’ll be back when you can afford it. We will save the 50 cc.» The Groupon was marked as «redeemed» although all that happened was me driving there for no reason!

I guess I should have read the reviews before I purchased my groupon. It was a terrible experience.
I purchased a groupon for 50 dysport units. First I was given the wrong time and told that the doctor couldn’t see me. I had taken a day of work to get there. But I took another day of work to come back the next week. Showed up early. When I finally got to see the «doctor» who wasn’t even a doctor but a pa. She told me that she wouldn’t give me 50 units for 3 areas only for 1. I have never used more than 50 for all 3 areas and I won’t now. This is my body and it’s my decision how much and what I put in it. She refused and then started becoming very rude. She refused to do it and said she would only do it if she can put the full 50 in one area. She was so obviously trying to get me to purchase more units. After reading all the reviews I’m not surprised that they are desperate.
I walked out and will be getting a refund form groupon.
Don’t go hear unless you want to be treated with rudeness and not get what you signed up for

It is the same generic autopiloted response you left under my other review.
That speaks for itself.
First and foremost, I am glad to see that in your last ad, the headline reads «administered by Dr. Yazdani, MD» — could it be that I might have something to do with that change?
If yes, then that’s all I wanted. For the public to be safe. Give Christine the chance to practice more, let her look over the shoulder of an experienced person and learn.
You write «not a single out of 1000 patients complained’ but scroll down and read other Unilocal reviews.
You write «You signed a waiver» and you gave me back half which you didn’t have to… Yes, we do sign these waivers, hope for the best, and then things don’t turn out right. Do you feel that people who spend their hard earned money and then doesn’t get the service they expected, let alone, being injured, don’t deserve their money back? A good will gesture when their health was compromised? I am out the money I paid you, paid a physician to undo some damage with the money you gave me back and still look at the scars every single day. I should have been fully reimbursed and then some. I will never sign anything like that ever again. I am just glad this was not a waiver for something of a greater magnitude.
You talk about allergic reactions? I have used other facilities before, and only the attractive rate made me switch. Bad mistake. Having said that, I never had an allergic reaction elsewhere and my dermatologist confirmed that this was not the result of a bad reaction but caused by the way the filler was injected. Unprofessionally, superficially, all over the place, and not deep enough.
I appreciate the long overdue and formal apology. I don’t want to harm anyone’s business or bad mouth a person, but this is about health and I felt it was right to inform others. My suggestion would be to offer Christine some retraining. She might be good at what she does, maybe know how to inject the superficial Botox well, but the fillers that should go deep, and were injected superficially are more complicated and need well trained people, regardless of their degree. She seems to lack that experience and as mentioned, any person has the right to learn and develop their skills. You should get the help she needs to get to that point.

Dr. Yazdani has always spent considerable time with me at each of my visits discussing any concerns I have and fully exploring items I may not have thought of yet. I adore her. She is a wonderful Doctor.

I never met Dr. Yazdani, but I wasn’t impressed with anyone of her staff members.
When I arrived, the receptionist couldn’t find my appointment even after I went out of my way to confirm it the night before. She finally got it and had a very cold and unfriendly assistant walk me down the hall to my room. I thought she was the nurse and so I explained to her what I needed to which she gave the hand and said «I’m not your nurse. I’m just prepping you.» She promptly walked out.
Then the physician’s assistant Christine came in. She was friendly in the beginning, but I found her talking to be extremely confusing and unprofessional. I won’t elaborate.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this office.

I hate to write a poor review under Dr. Yazdani’s name, given that I never even got to meet her… I scheduled an appointment with her (or so I thought) based on her positive Unilocal reviews and because my insurance company was ending its relationship with UCLA, where of course my former PCP practices. I came to the office only to find out that my appointment was actually with the physician’s assistant, Christine Soriano. It’s not that I’m a snob or that I had any complex medical issues to address (this was just a routine annual exam), but my experience with Christine was really disconcerting. It’s just unfortunate that she falls under the umbrella of Seaside Medical Practice and Dr. Yazdani.
My appointment started out normally enough, with Christine asking the standard questions about my general health. But when it came to the physical exam, things started to get a bit uncomfortable — as if it weren’t uncomfortable enough just to be lying naked in front of a complete stranger!
First Christine noticed a mild skin condition that I have (psoriasis) and kept commenting on how red it was, in a way that made me 1) feel incredibly self-​conscious, and 2) question her medical knowledge — given how common psoriasis is and how mild my case is.
Then we proceeded to the pap-​smear segment of the appointment (sorry for the graphic detail, guys!). I had just finished my period, which I told her, but she nonetheless seemed shocked to find some dried blood «up there» (my apologies again!!). She kept commenting on the blood she was seeing, and even said, «do you want me to show you??» as if I didn’t believe her or couldn’t fathom the magnitude of the situation without seeing it for myself. I’d just finished my period and she was seeing blood. Was I missing something? Again, her comments made me feel very self-​conscious and, at this point, cemented the fact that I possessed more medical knowledge (or perhaps just more common sense??) than she — and my education stopped with a bachelor’s degree. ;)
I decided to write this review when my pharmacy tried to have my prescriptions refilled through this office. I take 2 medications daily and have been on the same meds/​dosages for 6+ years. When I saw my UCLA physician, she’d write me new prescriptions for those meds with 12 refills, so I’d be set until my next annual exam. Christine, on the other hand, wrote prescriptions with only 2 refills, which ran out this month. My pharmacy tried calling their office for a week, with no response or return phone call. The pharmacy eventually left ME a message, and I ended up having to call Seaside Medical myself to ask them to call in my refills — which they did at that point (again, with only 2 refills — UGH!!!). I’m just lucky that I still had some pills left when I originally requested the refills through my pharmacy and that my meds are not necessary to keep me alive!
From what I’ve seen of the Seaside Medical office, there’s nothing to recommend it. Perhaps if my appt had actually been with Dr. Yazdani, I would be writing a different review.

Dr. Yazdani has excellent bedside manner. I never feel rushed and beyond that she seems genuinely interested in my health.
She is totally tech savvy. She uses a computer instead of old fogey paper charts. She sends emails! The lab even sent my blood test results to her electronically. So cool.
The office is modern and super clean. You’d think they moved in yesterday, but apparently have been there a while. Parking in the building is easy and FREE.
I do wish the walls were a little thicker (I heard the patients conversation in the room next to mine), but hey, you can’t have everything all the time.
Shout out to her office lady… she is really cool, too.
