Wonderful selection of glasses and very competent optometrist. She figured out that the prescription in my previous eyeglasses was wrong… off by a mile! And, the cause of lots of headaches. So grateful! Love my eyeglasses. Just perfect :)

The doctor was incredibly kind, the fact that they are open late is even better. My only issue with the place was one of the employees was kind of pushy when it came to picking out a frame. I would for sure go back, but I need a bodyguard this time!

I’v bought frames here a couple or few times. Usually I have a friend with me — but the last time I was on my own and David and a couple gals behind the counter had a recommendation for me after trying several on, and all my friends really like these new frames! Plus, I got contact lenses the last time around and we tried a few different types before figuring out which brand works best for my eyes. This is a great place and I highly recommend working with them! Larry

This place is great. We’ve gone here for several years for lenses and eye exams. World’s nicest doctor, and David, the main guy there, is knowledgeable, honest, responsible, etc. You won’t find a more trustworthy place.

Best experience getting eye glasses I’ve ever had, and I’ve been getting eye glasses for decades. James at Montana Optometry was extremely helpful and creative in finding a new pair of glasses for me. He has the eye for what fit my face best and he explained why. Montana Optometry has a vast selection and fast turn-​around time They are cost competitive and have outstanding customer service. I’ll be back next time I need new glasses.

David is seriously one of those rare business owners who has earned my undying loyalty. He is unbelievably friendly and helpful and really works to help you find exactly what you want AND knows what looks good. For someone who has zero sense of style its nice to have someone who knows how to make you look better!

There is a reason for so many great reviews: they earn it. I can only say ditto to the comments about the customer service. Truly helpful, considerate people who have always made the experience positive and stress-​free.
Yes, the prices are a bit higher for frames than some national chains but as with any of the important things in life, you get what you pay for. 5 stars because I haven’t found a place that does it better.

My husband, and now me, don’t go anywhere else for our glasses. David is a gem. The service and quality are tops. Don’t be fooled by the shi-​shi Montana Ave. address. The prices are in line with anywhere else and there’s not that false sale stuff you see elsewhere. Just a straight ahead great experience.

I LOVE that place !! David and Roya are always professional and patient! They make sure that i am happy with my eyesight which is really complex considering my lifestyle !! I need different contact lens for different activities and I am able to perform without slowing down!

Service does NOT get better than this. David Gelfand is not only REALLY good at what he does, he’s nice and patient too. I got my eye exam here but ended up buying frames elsewhere. Didn’t matter. David spent 20 – 30 minutes refitting the frames for me because the place I bought them (Silver & Taketa) as nice as they are, didn’t have the expertise to fit them on my face properly and they were a little crooked and sliding off my face every 5 minutes.
They’re so careful and precise and let you in on why things might not be working as you’d like, making you part of the decision process… my new progressive lenses were a little funky and they explained the various tweaking options I had which allowed me to make an informed decision myself. (And again, I didn’t even buy the frames/​lenses from them.)
I was very happy with my exam and have bought my new contacts here (very competitive pricing!) and will continue to rely on their expertise.
If you’re having any issues at all at your current optometrist, I guarantee that the pros at Montana will be able to sort it out for you. I must’ve phoned a half-​dozen times between the time I first walked in to the time I walked out purchasing my contacts and they never lost patience with me. They were even willing to order frames they didn’t carry when I asked… Beyond friendly service.
Oh yeah, super important: free parking in the rear lot. You won’t have to feed meters on Montana. And, YES they take VSP.

Went in here with a friend who needed new frames. Was met with the most courteous, educated help (David Gelfand– A.B.O.). I would recommend this place to anyone. Also– open on Sunday, which is rare for an optical store!

Exam: If you don’t have vision coverage (which I do not), I would say it’s probably comparable to any decent eye care provider’s exam.
Glasses: nice assortment ranging from $$ — $$$$ (definitely more variety, better selection/​quality than most places (Len’s Crafters being the worst).
Service: The best. I’ve never had service like this. They go above and beyond to help out their clients. Plus, they are just all-​around nice guys. Seriously.
In short, I’ve been wearing corrective lenses since age 1yr so I’ve a little experience with visiting the Optometrist. Been to them all. Save yourself $ and time and have it done right the first time, with a nice quality durable pair of lenses.
