Lisa Masterson, MD

Dr. Masterson was 45 minutes late for my appointment. She didn’t apologize, let alone acknowledge it. She is severely cold, apathetic, smug and condescending when speaking to you regarding your given health concern — she even laughed at my lack of medical knowledge. I know these complaints may sound trivial, but if you appreciate having a warm, thorough or even just NICE doctor — do not see this woman. She does not value your time or patronage at her practice.

I saw a commercial on cable TV for a «growth hormone» treatment where she gives an endorsement. I couldn’t believe any ethical, educated physician would shill for an obvious snake oil treatment. God forbid it’s real active GH, as such non-​supervised use of GH in a person who is not really GH deficient (i.e. a dwarf, or a damaged pituitary gland) can harm you. Look up the condition acromegaly if you doubt me. This so-​called physician will do anything for a buck or be on TV. Quack, quack, quack!

How to make me find another doctor:
1) Call me personally to say you want me to come in for tests (though I really suspect you’re trying to make up for the fact that my annual exam is now free, so you’re coming up with other ways to add to my tab, much like you did at my last annual by running, without my knowledge, a bunch of expensive labs that didn’t need to be run);
2) Don’t show up at your practice until 15 minutes after my appointment, thereby making 4 of your patients (and two nurses whom apparently don’t have a key) wait out in front of the building (parking meters running);
3) When you do arrive, tell everyone you were late because of traffic (the same LA traffic the rest of us braved to make it to the appointment on time, so we don’t get billed for missing the appointment);
4) Start pointing to each of us (out of order from our sign in) and asking what our names are, including asking several patients if they are new (when in fact they aren’t);
5) Ask me what my name is. When I answer, ask me if I got a reminder call yesterday. (I didn’t. Also, I’ve been your patient for about 7 years. It’s heartwarming to see the bond we share after all this time.)
6) Tell the two staff members you don’t know where my chart is («Maybe it’s in the hallway?»)
7) Tell me to «go get some water, have a seat, and we’ll be with you in a little while,» while also making it clear you have no interest in why I’m there (i.e., because YOU CALLED ME AND TOLD ME I HAD TO COME IN).
8) When I approach your staff 50 minutes after my appointment time to ask what’s going on, your staff says «sorry» and LITERALLY RUNS TO ANOTHER ROOM AND CLOSES THE DOOR TO AVOID ANSWERING MY QUESTION. This isn’t a joke. One nurse overheard me asking the new employee what was happening with my appointment as it was 45 minutes past the time I was told to be there, and called her into another room so they could both avoid answering me.
9) Still no word from you.
10) Leave me standing at reception, no staff around, while I wonder what the hell I’m waiting for since YOU CALLED ME TO COME IN.
New doctor found. It’s a shame, because if I felt for one second that this office wasn’t in total chaos, I would have considered staying, but this wasn’t the first disastrous and disorganized appointment I had here. But it was my last.

After waiting 45 mins in a paper gown in the examination room (despite having what I believed to be the first appointment of the day), I got dressed and went to inform the person at the reception desk that I couldn’t wait much longer. She then told me that the doctor should be arriving shortly. I had no idea that she was not even in the building yet.
This was such a huge waste of my time. They could have at least informed me of the delay instead of leaving me undressed in an overly warm room waiting with no end in sight. Disrespectful. I won’t be returning to this place and would recommend steering clear.

So, I am being nice with two stars. But here it goes. Dr. Masterson was nice but she seemed to be rather cold. Almost uninterested in the fact that I was even pregnant. This is my first so I wanted a doctor that was excited with me. Also her staff leaves a lot to be desired. As far as blood drawing they have not one single clue what they are doing. They seem distracted and absent minded. So needless to say I decided to go somewhere else. I called a week ago and asked or my lab results and to cancel my follow up appointment. The girl who answered the phone said okay I will call you right back. Never got a phone call. So my new office called for them and they, got the results. Today the office of dr. Masterson called me and said I had missed my appointment. When I explained that I cancelled last week they put me on hold. Next they said I had to pay over $ 60 for a copay. Now I understand that this isn’t a large sum of money but in the 4 years I have had this insurance I have never paid a copay for medical services. It seems they are charging some sort of cancellation fee and blaming it on my insurance. Now I have an even worse opinion of this place after today.

I have recently switched OB’s from Dr. Masterson to a UCLA OBGYN in Westlake. I did not feel confident in the care I was receiving and upon mounting frustration I made the move at 4 months pregnant. Dr. Masterson is very nice but that’s not enough. The office is kind of dirty, the equipment out-​dated and the entire staff consists of students. 100% only students. It’s just not the proper level of care for a woman emerging on motherhood, undergoing the most significant changes of her entire life, and brining a new human being into this world.

This was maybe 10 years or 15 years ago, and maybe her practice is different now, but when my terrific older ob/​gyn retired and I needed to find a new one in my network, Dr. Masterson was recommended and sounded promising.
At the time, I had unexplained bleeding that I was told was a possible indicator for cancer. So mid-​week, I go in for a test. No return calls for results; the doctor isn’t in Thursday or Friday (or won’t come to the phone) and the nurses aren’t authorized to say anything. It wasn’t that they didn’t know the results yet – the doc just couldn’t or wouldn’t call It wasn’t till the following TUESDAY that anyone bothers to call back to say the tests were negative. No excuse or apology for the delay or letting me worry all those extra days– no caring at all.
When I heard she was getting onto the celebrity medical circuit, I wasn’t surprised… patients clearly weren’t her priority.

I am SOOO happy I followed my instinct and went to see Dr. Lisa! After reading some of these reviews I was like WOO and hesitant because so many people just didn’t have a good encounter for one reason or another however I’m new to Santa Monica and she’s close to my home so I needed a new GYN and I was like what the hell go for it worst case don’t go back… SO I would like to share «MY“experience… When I walk into her place her front desk person was so warm and inviting which immediately put me at ease. The place is kinda cool for a doctors office very Victorian and feminine so after I was given paperwork to fill out and offered something to drink I was like «ok» so far so good but get this Dr. Lisa was walking out after finishing with another patient and walk over to me introduce herself and my «Hollywood «image of her went right out the door. I was happy I followed
her into her office she ask me a lot questions she listened to my concerns then we proceeded with my appointment as usual nothing more. When I got dressed and checked out her front desk lady offered me a tour of their SPA upstairs which I was pleasantly surprise it’s really nice with the most beautiful view of the ocean and there’s a patio (so happy I moved to SM) anyway, I’m glad I followed my own instinct and went. Now I have another reason to go to Dr. Lisa hopefully the SPA services will be as good as Dr. Lisa and her staff made me feel…

Dr. Masterson and her staff helped me through a very scary medical situation, and they did it with such graciousness and care that I can’t even believe I was so frightened before. I like that Dr. Masterson has a no non-​sense way about her, she discussed my illness and treatment options with me in plain English without any condescending tone. Her staff was always friendly, eager to answer questions (on the phone and during visits), and they called me regularly to see how I was coming along after my surgery. I have been seeing Dr. Masterson for about 9 years now and I am more than satisfied with the treatment I’ve received while in her care. It doesn’t hurt that her office is located on the ocean front. It makes for a very peaceful place to reflect and meditate before making important decisions regarding my ob/​gyn health concerns.

I rarely write reviews, but this was such a horrible experience that I had to share. The office is dirty and the equipment/​funiture has got to be 20 – 30 years old or maybe older. The furniture in the waiting room was stained and dusty.
At first, I thought it was just the waiting room that was in need of repair so I stayed and gave this place a shot. However after waiting for 35 minutes) to be put in an exam room, I felt like I was in a horror movie. The equipment and furniture is so outdated that it’s creepy. (My ex is a doctor, so I’m very familiar with what medical office equipment should look like and the buying and selling of used office furniture.)
I’ve never in my life seen stirrups that looked so ancient and uninviting. The bio-​hazard trashcan in the room was rusted and wouldnt even close. The regular trash can was supposed to be white, but was covered in dirt. This is in an old, run down Victorian era house. The views are great, but the walls, light switches, floors, everything needs to be repaired. I had to try several times to even open the door to get out of the exam room because the door was stuck. The ultrasound machine was so old that the white keys had turned yellow and the plastic was discolored. This place completely freaked me out. I decided to leave before the doctor even came in just based on cleanliness. Just based on the biohazzard trash can alone this place looked unsanitary, I did not want to see the speculums at this place.
Oh and when I tried to hand the front desk assistants my paperwork, they were arguing in front of me as if I weren’t there… and continued for several minutes while I stood there.
I wish I would have read the other reviews before I went.

I seriously think she needs to only do her Hollywood job! She’s good at it!
Other than that I feel like I should role out the red carpet for her to look at my vagina! I feel like I am inconveniencing her. My rant about her could go on and on. Her staff is great! I have no idea how she has kept them for so long! i am looking for another OBGYN!!!

Don’t go. I don’t want others to be in a compromising or dangerous position due to an incompetent doctor. I only went to her because I had just moved to Santa Monica from NYC and was looking for someone close by and female. As a woman of color myself, I felt good that she was female and black. But here are warnings from my experience.
1. Dishonesty and incompetency as a doctor– when one of my tests results came back positive, she never went over the details with me and immediately referred me out to another doctor, not wanting to take on a ‘case’ or even take time to assess the situation. I was pretty scared but it was hard to get in touch with her and understand what was going on. Then she kept pushing these doctors who do not take widely accepted Blue Cross PPO. A doctor takes the Hippocratic Oath swearing to practice medicine honestly. I don’t trust she does that.
(I’m all fine bty, found great doc at Cedar via research and primary doctor’s help)
2. Incompetent office workers– they billed all my tests with the wrong code apparently so I was charged $ 80 for what should have been $ 8. So the decimal point was somehow moved over? This happened to ALL my bills from this office, so my insurance company straightened it out and resubmitted. But the time and energy…
3. She has a spa operating alongside her practice on Ocean Ave. Enough said. Someone has to pay that rent.
4. Not sure how she got on the celebrity route but unfortunately it is smoke and mirrors with an awful pr campaign («health in heels?) and has nothing to do with her quality.

Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. I went to Dr. Masterson not knowing who she was or that she was some «celebrity» doctor. I went because her office was close to where I live. BIG MISTAKE!!!
She was rude, insensitive and actually advised me on a procedure that I in fact DID NOT NEED. I later found out that the invasive procedure that she was so aggressively PUSHING on me could have actually affected me from having children. After I went to another OB/​GYN and got another pap smear which came back completely fine. My NEW doctor shared with me that I absolutely DID NOT NEED a Leep Procedure. She said that she had heard horrible things about Dr. Masterson as well. (I guess her personality and questionable medicine proceeds her in the medical community). That alone should speak volumes! I’m happy that other patients dogged a bullet and had healthy pregnancies. However, I would never ever recommend someone taking a chance on this doctor, especially knowing that your fertility (or infertility) might depend on it. It’s actually quite terrifying that this woman still has her license to practice as a physician.

Almost killed me!
I was a patient of Dr. Masterson’s for nearly 10 years. When I got pregnant in 2011 I was very happy, healthy, and there were no major complications. I was satisfied with the Dr. until she started doing a lot of things that made no sense. For example. Running me on 4 back to back doses on antibiotics for a Group B strep infection. When I asked about this I was pooh poohed and told they knew best. When I had a migraine that would not cease they told me to keep taking more Tylenol. After 3 more days I was told to go to the ER??? Really. The ER would still call my OB before they would prescribe anything. I had to call my sister a pediatric nurse practitioner who was able to do some research and write me a script. 20 minutes later my migraine was gone. Seriously.
When I got sick with the flu and a high fever they refused to see me and instead told me to keep taking my antibiotics. When I called several times to let them know my condition was getting worse they brushed me off. I asked to come in. They told me I needed to wait for the antibiotics to start working. Well guess what. They were not working. My fever was getting higher. I was afraid of toxicity from all the Tylenol they were telling me to take. The on-​call Dr. Goslin was short and not at all helpful on the phone. He was quite rude and dismissive even to my husband who was pleading for someone to help. Not someone I would trust to care for my patients in my absence. Not a single call back from Dr. Masterson.
To make a long story short I called my general practitioner and switched OBs that week. The new OB/​Gyn Doctor saw me right away and sent me from her office directly to a pulmonary specialist. Labs were ordered. Unfortunately, the results did not come back in time. I had two very severe and large pneumonias in my lungs. I ended up in the ER on a Saturday because I was having difficulty breathing. I was honestly so labored in my breathing because my lungs were full of fluid. The infection was so bad. I almost died. I spent a week in the hospital. It took me months to recover. Fortunately my baby is perfectly fine and is a very healthy active toddler now.
This was something that should have been treated or a referral given a week earlier. At least someone could have taken the time from their office to give me a referral. I would had far less suffering. I would not have wished that on anyone. My new OB was nothing like Dr. Masterson. There is compassion and I’m treated with some warmth. I felt that my new Doctor genuinely cares about me and my baby as an individual and really takes the time to make sure she has done all her research for the best care. She talks to me like a person and let me know in detail about my baby’s development and my pregnancy. I feel so much better taken care of.
I am so grateful I will no longer be dealing with Dr. Masterson. I’m sorry but no one deserves what I went through. I might have still gotten pneumonia but a simple phone call or referral on their part might have saved me a lot of pain and suffering.
I don’t usually write negative reviews. But I think people need to know how much I tried to like her and how saddened and upset I was with her utter lack of concern for me and my baby.

Awful doctor!!! I had seeing her for a part of my pregnancy until I switched.
Each visit you are waiting a minimum 30 – 45 minutes to see the doctor. When you do, it’s a 5 minute visit. She never has any time for her patients. All appointments are rushed giving you no time to get your questions answered. As a first time mom, this was very frustrating.
Upon arrival he staff and her chatted for 5 minutes before acknowledging me, right as I was about to walk away.
I realized that not all doctors treat their patients as cold as she does.
Take the time to research doctors who can give you the time and to answer your questions.

This by far has been the WORST experience ever. You would think a GYNO would be kind and gentle but Lisa was cold and extremely rude. The service is terrible and Lisa does not listen to what you have to say and what is scary is that they performed services on me that they did not thoroughly consult beforehand. Trust me on this, go elsewhere. Don’t let the nice façade of the victorian building fool you.

Dr. Masterson guided me through a 13 hour labor that ended in an emergency c-​section. I went in with a fever that antibiotics and Tylenol were not able to subside. I was in uncontrollable tears because I had not mentally prepared myself to go through a c-​section since the pregnancy and the labor was (seemingly) going so smoothly.
I knew it was going to be a major operation and I had less than 15 minutes to prepare myself for it. Dr. Masterson talked me through the whole thing and kept saying that the most important thing was that I would see my healthy baby within the next hour. She let me know that my baby’s heart rate was too fast and if we waited any longer, he might just give up. She was amazing in helping me come to terms with the operation in such a short amount of time. She said all the right things to calm me down. The team at St. Johns worked with her impressively well to get my baby out safely and within the next half hour I heard my 8lb, 1oz little baby boy cry for the first time!
My recovery was tough, but the incision is healing so beautifully and it’s really tiny — I’m so impressed, she did a great job. She used glue to close it up and I haven’t had any issues with it at all — I was even able to take a shower the next day without irritating it. I was recovering so well that instead of waiting 4 days to be released from the hospital, I was able to go home 2 days later. I went into her office a week after the operation and 2 of her colleagues confirmed that the incision is healing beautifully. 2 and a half weeks later, I’m almost feeling back to my old self.
I would recommend Dr. Masterson because she was able to guide me through one of the scariest, most important times of my life and I will never forget it!

While I will concede that things may have changed, I think another side to the story of Dr. Masterson has to be told.
Dr. Masterson delivered two of my children: one in 1999, and the second in 2005. Throughout both pregnancies she always took the time to answer my questions, allay my fears etc.
First example: as I was nearing the due date for my first, I suddenly panicked realizing I hadn’t done all the various Lamaze, massage, hypno, whatever classes– she looked me in the eye and said «Here’s how it’s going to work. You’ll go into labor, you’ll go to the hospital, I’ll meet you there, you’ll go home with a baby.» Totally calmed me down, and that’s exactly how it went.
(side note: I went into labor on the Sunday night of Labor day holiday… since it was my first, I wasn’t sure it was really labor or the whole false labor thing I’d read about, and it was nearly midnight so I didn’t want to be a bother, but I called her anyway– she was happy to hear from me and sent me along to the hospital, and called them ahead so they were ready when I arrived)
Second pregnancy didn’t go so well for me. I went into pre-​term labor which I was totally unaware of. She caught it during my appointment and put me immediately onto bedrest. She had me come into the office once a week to get monitored– and I never had to wait to get it done– and she would always pop in just to see how I was doing both physically, but also mentally.
Bottom line– I have two healthy, happy kids and I owe it to Dr. M. I had a terrible experience with the doctor who took me through my third pregnancy (we had moved). Would do anything to go back in time and have all my kids with her.

Dr. Edmond was delivering a baby that morning which resulted in my appointment being an hour late. I understand that unexpected circumstances come up, but it would have been nice for the receptionist to let me know what was going on as soon as she heard that there would be a delay and offer to reschedule me, etc, rather than letting me sit there in the dark. When I finally was seen, there was no apology for the hour delay. I expressed my frustration to the doctor about the lack of communication and she said that the delay might have been because I was a new patient and had to fill out paperwork. This just made me more angry because I purposely arrived ten minutes early so that I could complete my paperwork (which took all of five minutes) in time for my morning appointment. They were responsible for wasting an hour of my time, not me.
I found this office very disrespectful and will not be returning.

I had completely forgotten about this horrible doctor until a few days ago.
I was talking to someone about her first pregnancy, and she mentioned having a terrible experience with an OB/​GYN. As she was telling me the story, I asked who the doctor was. She said it was Dr. Lisa Masterson. As soon as she said her name, I said, ‘Oh my God. I’ve seen her. She is AWFUL.‘
It’s been a long time, probably 6 or 7 years ago. But the experience was so negative, that I’d never forget it.
I was due for my annual exam and I needed a new gynecologist. I think I got her name from my insurance company. I had a client I used to see one day a week in Santa Monica. Dr. Masterson’s office was very close to my client’s office. So I made an appointment during the afternoon, when I knew I’d have time to step out for an hour or so. Seemed pretty straightforward.
I arrived early, filled out my paperwork and sat in the waiting area. And I waited. And waited. AND waited. After almost an hour, I went to find out when I would be seen. They told me the doctor had an emergency, and they didn’t know when she would be in. Seriously? You let me sit there for over an hour, knowing that the entire time, but didn’t think I should be told? And you were going to let me just keep sitting there, not saying ANYTHING?
I told them that I had to get back to to work and couldn’t wait. So they rescheduled me. The fact that they let me sit for so long should have been a big red flag. But I needed to get my exam, and didn’t know who else to see.
When I returned a few weeks later, Dr. Masterson was in the office. A nurse set me up in a room. I changed into a gown and got on the table. So there I was, naked from the waist down, with just the thin paper covering myself.
Dr. Masterson came in and I immediately sensed a very negative attitude. She had zero warmth or bedside manner. She got me into position on the table, which is an incredibly vulnerable position to be in. She sat down on the small chair in front of me and started reading my chart. Since it was my first visit, there really wasn’t anything to read. So that kind of surprised me.
Turned out, her staff had made notes about my ‘complaints’. She said, ‘it says that you were here a few weeks ago. And that you had a problem with the wait time.‘
I said, ‘yes. I sat and waited for over an hour. I finally had to leave and get back to work.‘
Instead of apologizing, or explaining what had happened, she started lecturing me! She said that her office was very, VERY busy. That emergencies came up all the time. And that if I didn’t like it, then I could find another office.
I was truly stunned. Her behavior was rude, inconsiderate and extremely unprofessional. Not to mention that she did this when I was on the table in front of her, with my girly parts exposed!
I let her go ahead and do the exam. A huge mistake. She shoved the speculum in and was kind of rough. I felt rushed and didn’t have the chance to ask any questions. I really wish I’d told her to forget it. She clearly had no time for me, and made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her.
This was before her big tv career. But she was a bit of ‘celebrity’ baby doctor by then. So I guess she felt she was too ‘good’ to see regular, non-​famous girls like me. And she sent me that message, loud and clear.
Of course I never saw her again. But the best part? I later got some strange billing from my insurance company. It seems that she was double billing them for my one visit. I called the insurance company about it and they corrected my bill. But from some of the other reviews I’ve read online, it looks like I’m not the only one this has happened to.
Honestly, I don’t know how this woman still has a practice, and that her license hasn’t been taken away. Hopefully, by speaking up, we can at least keep other women from being subjected to this horrible doctor.

She should stick with her publicity and leave the office. I saw her for the first 5 months of my pregnancy and wondered each time why I was coming back. Well, I just moved to Los Angeles in August and I was also very naïve about everything there was to know about pregnancy. I never felt like I could ask her advice on anything, since she’s very cold and the visit always felt rushed in a 5 minute span of evaluation.
What did it for me was when I was in New Jersey for the holidays, visiting family and I caught a nasty stomach virus. Since, I’m normally healthy and unsure of whether I’ll just throw it up or have to go to the hospital I called Masterson’s office in which she was paged. She called 30 minutes later with a gruff, «Yes, I was paged». I told her my situation and she gave me attitude stating, «Well, you’re in New Jersey so what can I do for you»? Look! I was asking for your advice on whether I need to go to the ER (which I’ve never been to). Apparently, you’re at some event from what I heard in the background so what could you do for me anyway, that didn’t require attitude. I’m not one to worry easily or the one that asks hoards of questions either, so the one time I felt it necessary, I was belittled to feel like a pestering moron.
Either way, an OBGYN should be the ONE doctor that makes you feel safe, comfortable and trusting. She was the only one I could turn to and yes unfortunately I was on the other side of the country, but so what! When did bedside manner fallout within the physician/​patient relationship? Realizing this is quite apparent with other OBGYN’s I’ve chosen to use a midwife and she’s fantastic! I feel safer and much more confident now towards having my first child.
Knowledge is power ladies, do your research! If anything, this is the one time you should be very picky and selfish about the kind of care you should be receiving. I just wish I stood my ground and shot her back attitude when she gave it to me in the beginning of my 2^nd visit.

Like Molly M., I wish I would have done more research on Dr. Masterson before I went to her last year — which is one of the reasons I’m posting here, so others can read this before they make a decision to use her.
My only exposure to Dr. Masterson before I went to her was seeing her on The Doctors, where I thought her bedside manner was warm and her expertise with women high. They surely wouldn’t choose a doctor for a tv show who wasn’t respected, I thought.
The first time I made an appointment I was told that she was out of town so I chose to see a colleague who was covering her rather than wait. Since it was my first appointment with the office, I went in 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. When I got in the office, there were three women behind the front desk talking, two of them facing me — so I KNOW they could see me. They continued to talk to each other, shooting the shit (Front desk women: when I’m a foot away from you, I can hear you!).
I listened to them for about 5 minutes before I said «Excuse me» — to which they all turned to look at me and stare, not even saying hello. I told them my name and my appointment time and they basically just handed me some forms and told me to fill them out in the other room — no hello even! Miss Manners would bitch slap those women!
The covering doctor arrived 45 minutes after my appointment time, and despite being SOAP OPERA HANDSOME, he exuded absolutely NO WARMTH. But this was the colleague, not Dr. Masterson, so I figured I’d just never have to see him again. Before I left, they sent me to another location for some tests, but with so little instructions on what to do or where to go that I had to ask almost 10 questions, eeking out bits of info from the front desk!
When I got to my 2^nd appointment a week later, I was similarly ignored by the front desk — but didn’t wait as long for my icy stare only because I interrupted the party sooner. 45 minutes after my actual appointment time (why can’t I learn to NOT be on time with those people!), they tell me that Dr. Masterson would not be able to make it for another hour because she was at the hospital, and I could either wait or reschedule. No «I’m sorry», or even an I’m sorry-​ish TONE.
At that point I still hadn’t met Dr. Masterson so I figured I’d reschedule. The following week, I go to my rescheduled appointment and — again — the nurse doesn’t bring me into the room until almost AN HOUR after my appointment time because Dr. Masterson is late to arrive.
The nurse tries to take my vitals as soon as I walk in the examining room, but since I usually get nervous in a doctor’s office I ask her if she can let me sit still for a few minutes before she takes my blood pressure. At that, she makes a disapproving noise and walks out wordlessly. I guess the door closing behind her was her answer!
When Dr. Masterson finally gets in there, she’s actually very nice and answers all my questions completely, and is fine. But when I’m leaving I get the same weirdly super cold, extremely non-​helpful attitude from the front desk — right in front of Dr. Masterson this time. And I figure — Dr. Masterson must set the tone for her office, right? God knows if I were a doctor MY front office wouldn’t act like that in front of me and still have jobs!
So I trek the 4 blocks to the public parking structure (the one that the front desk did NOT tell me about when I called to ask about the parking situation previous to my 1^st appointment — they said «there’s meters right out front» but didn’t specify that they’re ONLY ONE HOUR meters).
And I go home and finally do some mad Googling.
And I realize that I needed to find another gyno.
Anyone have a good recommendation?

I do not like her or her staff and will never go back. The office is very chic and it has beautiful views of the Ocean which make it very relaxing. On the other hand, the staff are very cold. Dr. Masterson’s behavior is downright arrogant. She is very shrewd and unsympathetic.
Going to the OB/​GYN is an awkward, uncomfortable experience for any woman. To be treated unfairly and unprofessionally is not just an insult but also an emotionally abusive moment to be faced with.
