Andre helped us when no one else would. We had been scammed by a previous «accountant» and were being audited and Andre helped us get our accounts in order. We have been with him ever since and he and his staff have patiently helped us every year for the last 6 or seven years. We are very busy, and run two small businesses and have our own house hold to run, Kobek helps us handle all of it and has been great. Andre and his team do a great job and are good honest people.

Let’s just say this was the worst tax return experience I’ve had in years. I will never work with Andres and his assistant Amber ever again. I’ll take the high road, and keep the personal experience to myself. Unfortunately, I was referred to him, and I painfully regret it.
Take your business elsewhere… you’ll thank me.

Andres has been doing my taxes since around 1997, and I must say I was a little shocked to read the previous reviews.
Not only has he always done a top notch job with my business and personal returns, he’s been able to educate me on the best way of setting up my business to (legally and legitimately) get the most out of my taxed income.
I’m not a numbers person… I’m a creative… but I do keep records of everything. However, when it comes to sorting the thousands of bills, invoices and receipts I have each year… he’s pulled me out the whirlwind I find myself in each and every year, and helped make sense of it all.
He’s like a tax law wizard, and I can always rely on him to get me the best possible returns (and find every single deduction I’ve overlooked, or didn’t know existed). He’s also stopped me from making ignorant mistakes, which might have flagged me for audits.
He’s literally saved me several tens-​of-​thousands of dollars over the years (by fixing my mistakes), and is still the most affordable accountant I have ever been to.
He’s said «The IRS gives you all the tools you need to get the most out of your return, but they just don’t teach you how to use them.»
Andres definitely knows how to use them, and to their full potential.
He understands the artwork of every year’s return.
I have, and will continue to, recommend Andres for doing returns and for business structuring. I’m always confident he will get the best possible returns, and that I have no additional stress. (He’s probably saved me from a few years of heart attacks as well, LOL).

I second what everyone else here has already said. Kobek provided «accounting services» –although it should be noted that no one there is a CPA – for our HOA for years. They bounced checks, paid bills late, failed to deposit our monthly dues in a timely manner, failed to provide the legally required financial statement for over a year and didn’t file our taxes for over 10 years. When confronted about it, Andres just lied over and over.

BEWARE! I went to Andres Guiga for years. I referred friends and family to him. He used to do a good job, that is no longer the case. It took me 13 months to track him to down to find out where my tax returns were. He claimed they were finished and yet when I went to pick them up he had not even begun to work on them. In fact he had someone else’s deductions in my file. It was a total disaster and I have had to have 3 years of returns redone by another accountant. The mistakes were egregious. I seriously do not understand how this person operates a business let alone manages to function in this world.

I decided to set up an appointment with Kobek, specifically with Andres, to get my taxes prepared for 2010. Since I work late, I appreciated the fact that they would make an appointment for 7pm. Well, I showed up for my appointment to find the doors were locked and no one answered the door or the telephone. The next day I called to ask what had happened and the secretary’s response was «I don’t know what to tell you. You’ll just have to set up another appointment.» She even confirmed that yes, I was on the schedule for that particular night. No apologies. I asked to have Andres call me when he got in and I received absolutely no phone call, not even to apologize for standing up a client. I’m pretty forgiving towards people having mix ups or emergencies, but not for being down right rude. If they don’t respect you or your time, how can you trust them to care about doing your taxes correctly?
