Buyer Beware, while the people on the floor are very helpful and have good taste, the policies at this«department store» border on illegal, if they in fact are not. My wife bought me an outfit, a pair of jeans and a gray and black flannel shirt. The clothes were attractive and looked good on me. But when I saw the sticker, mashug, $ 750. That’s right folks… jeans and a flannel for $ 750. Okay, that’s cool, you can charge up the wazoo(just not mine). So, I went to take them back only to be told they could not be refunded, «only for store credit». Talk about buyer’s remorse. The guy just tried to convince me to keep them, said«you’re not getting your money back anyway» what a crock. You can only use the credit at that shot, the mens in this case and i never want to go there again. Guess I“ll have to unless the BBB says otherwise.

Super sleazy owner. Lied to our face. Full review coming soon but giving the owner Vladimir an opportunity to make it right before I tear him a new one.

I’m not crazy about Fred Segals layout, or lack of windows — it feels a bit like a Vegas Casino. That said, their employees only make it a more miserable experience. The service — if you can call it that — is underwhelming and flat out disappointing. The guy helping me — a tall hipster type with all the expected cliches that come with the look — was about as affable as a cardboard box and grew frustrated when asked some simple questions. He eventually walked away and the girl checked me. Cool clothing, but I’ll never shop there again.

The reviews here are comedy. Robert Graham shirts? Go ahead and feel good about dropping $ 200 on those gaudy shirts when you can get them for $ 40 at Loehmans and Marshalls. I wouldn’t wear those shirts if they were free. I’ve shopped at Fred Segal for over 15 years and have seen the quality go down. Much better avenues to get jeans and shirts than here. Service used to be great, but now they employ these kids who look like they haven’t slept for 2 days, think their better than their minimum wage salaries, and peddle expensive crap pretending they know this up and coming designer who won’t be around in 6 months as they will be pawning their excess inventory at Rose Bowl flea market. Memo to Management– you should probably tell your sales people to get off their phones and stop facebooking, and do their job. Would rather shop at Bloomies, Neiman, Saks. Also, the Melrose location is much better is terms of service.

We must have had the worst sales associate helping us. Thankfully I was there to help my client pick out some new items for his wardrobe but if you’re shoppin alone, don’t expect any service except for when they just place items in your dressing room or look for a size.

Found a great shirt in the BD Baggies pop up shop, one of many on display. Tried it on with the help of a lovely sales associate. Proceeded to be rung up… Oh wait, «I’m sorry, none of the shirts on display are for sale». Really, about 50% of the shop is shirts. «yeah, I know, we were all just taking about this, they are not for sale» Expect that kind of experience: a smart, appealing selection with an ownership that could care less about your experience.

Definitely the best in Santa Monica for Men’s and a nice selection of the latest by Robert Graham(who accounts for most of my wardrobe). Inventory is fresh and they are on top of the latest trends. FYI — This location beats the one on Melrose, hands down for Men’s — especially their Robert Graham selection.

Have to admit, I didn’t even look around the store. Only time I shop here is during the awesome Fred Segal sale. BUT … I found an awesome watch that I had to have. I visited the store on Sunday and they didn’t get the shipment in yet! I called 2 days later and spoke with Garen and Alex, they were great. The minute the shipment came in, they gave me a call and told me my beloved, greatly sought after watch was in!!! Since it was a limited edition watch, I wanted it even more. But there’s no way I can get to the store before it closed to pick it up! What’s a girl to do! What’s a great salesperson to do … offer to ring it up over the phone and hold on to it for 2 weeks until said girl can get her butt into the store. I finally picked it up. Love the watch. Met the guys in person and had a great experience with them. It’s the product that gets you in. But it’s the salesperson that keeps you coming back.
