Business Owner

I have been a a social worker for 15 years. My career began at Boston University where I received my MSW. After completing my graduate studies I started working in a small non profit called El Nido Family Center. I provided individual and family therapy to teen parents and probation youth. I then moved onto Substance Abuse Treatment at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. From there I went onto foster care and then back into the nonprofit world, at Interface Children Family Services. Here I got involved in sexual abuse treatment developing a Program to Evaluate and Treat Sexual Abuse. I also got involved in working with the 0 – 5 year population working in Parent Child Interaction Therapy. After that, I moved to Santa Monica and worked at St. John’s Child Family Development Center where I worked again with the 0 – 5 year population. When this ended I went to teach a graduate course in the Dept. of Social Work at Pontifica Universidad de Chile. Upon returning, worked at UCLA.
