Shabnam is AMAZING. I’ve had her treat me for various ailments, mostly for back problems and joint weakness issues. I always feel like i’ve been healed by magic hands after she has treated me. She really is passionate about chinese medicine, totally knowledgeable and she really cares about her patients well being and recovery. She even follows up a treatment with advice on what supplements to take, diet and exercises. I recommend her to everyone i know that is facing some kind of physical ailment or is dealing with stress. I’ve been to acupuncturist before… but none like Shabnam. She is so much more. She really listens to what you have to say and makes recommendations. I’ve had trouble sleeping for a couple of years and have tried everything including prescription meds. She recommended a herbal supplement that actually worked. Not only do I fall asleep, but I have much better quality sleep. I’m so glad I found her!

I have alot of trouble with my right arm due to my work. It is amazing the difference in one treatment. Shabnam is a very special person she is so passionate about her work. she spends extra time going over your medical history to make sure she provides the best treatment needed for your problem. I first went to Shabnam 2 months ago. She is absolutely amazing!!!
I was referred to her by a friend because I pulled a muscle that connects at the pelvis and leg. The muscle would not heal for 3 months! It really worried me. I am deathly afraid of needles and I didn’t believe in acupuncture, but my friend convinced me that I would feel comfortable with Shabnam and that she was gentle. After contemplating for a month, I called Shabnam and made an appointment.
Before I even saw Shabnam the day of my appointment I was scared, but once I got in Shabnam’s room, I felt comfortable. She could tell instantly I was scared and assured me that she would make sure she was extra gentle. When you meet her you will see that she is a very serene and calm person and that energy transfers to you. I felt comfortable because of this quality she has. She told me to change into a gown and left the room. Once she came in she checked both my wrists telling me that each wrist has a different pulse that tells her things about my body. She is incredibly knowledgeable and will let you know what she is checking. This made me feel even more calm knowing what was going on.
Then came the needles and I was scared all over again, but once she put one in, I felt ok. She is so gentle and makes sure you are ok before she proceeds with the next one. I got about 10 needles in my legs and groin area and then she let me rest for about 20 – 30 mins. Once I was done, she told me by that night I should start to feel better. Honestly though at that moment I didn’t really believe it since this muscle was taking so long to heal. But that night, I tried stretching the muscle the way I used to for 3 months to feel if it was getting better and I cannot even begin to tell you how shocked I was! There was a big noticable difference in the pain, it felt like it was almost gone. I could not believe it, but it was happening.
I went in again in a month to do a touch up on the area to loosen it even more and again it is feeling even better. I am a true believer!!! Oh another thing, the second time I went, Shabnam tells me my ankles are swollen. I tell her it’s been like that for about 5 years and I proceed to tell her how I think they actually are bigger now because I gained some weight starting 5 years ago. She tells me that they are swollen and that she will put in extra needles for it. Again, I didn’t really think it was swollen from water retention as she put it. But I had nothing to lose so I did it.
Before I left she told me I would be peeing more than normal that night. I did pee more that night, but didn’t think anything of it. The next morning, I look at my ankles and I am shocked! They are actually thinner! I cannot believe this and feel like my eyes are deceiving me so I put on an anklet that I have had from years ago that was close to tight and it’s loose again!!! I’m thinking Shabnam is a God now. I let her know that morning how I am so amazed with the work she does. For 5 years, I thought my ankles were thicker from gaining 10 pounds, but it’s definitely not so.
I definitely recommend Shabnam. Her room is very clean, she opens a new needle for every acupressure point, she’s very knowledgable, she instills this calmness in you and both times I felt that she really cared about my well being. I am a true believer in acupuncture now.
