Matthew F.

Manager

Matthew has been a mortgage professional since 2002. He started his career in the Wholesale side of the business. Working internally for large lenders, has given Matthew a unique and «inside» perspective on what today’s lenders are looking for. He uses this knowledge and insight to structure his client’s files to perfectly match what the lenders and underwriters are looking for.

Matthew is a people person. He provides a lending atmosphere that anyone from a frst time home buyer, to a corporate executive will feel comfortable and confident in. Communication and clarity of the lending process is also paramount to Matthew. Having his clients understand the process and become educated on thier home financing is very important to him.

Matthew is not only a successful mortgage professional, but also a dedicated father and husband. He spends his spare time with his family in Santa Cruz, coaching Tee-​Ball, enjoying the beach, and watching his young family grow.

We were referred to Matt by our real estate agent. Matt took on our refi and was very accommodating to us when it came to meetings and needing help with website stuff. He always made himself available to our schedule bc my husband worked weird hours in retail. Matt would also meet us in Scotts Valley so we wouldn’t have to drive further to his office. We had some technical difficulties with the esign websites bc of our own computer illiteracy and he was able to walk us through it bc we were so frustrated with it. The process was quite fast and painless. Matt is vary professional and knows what he is doing. He was also able to get us the best rate out there.

He worked with my preferred homeowners insurance co, and kept my out-​of-​pocket costs very low. We closed on time and Matt even answered a couple of questions I had a few weeks after closing. As a first time home buyer with my husband Matt was there every step of the way. Matt is very thorough and knowledgeable. He takes a different approach and wants to advise you rather than just make a quick buck. My husband and I though we were definitely bound to a FHA until we met with Matt and he broke it down so we would know what to expect. Even though there were a few hiccups with the deal it was relativaly smooth. Matt helped my wife and I buy our first home. We came to Matt in dire circumstances after our previous loan fell through. Matt was able to secure a loan, within a limited timeframe and, we walked away with significantly less closing costs than we reasonably anticipated. In addition, he worked with us despite neither the buyer or seller being represented by an Agent; it literally was Matt doing all the leg work to close the deal. He was even there at closing and walked us through the stack of documents we needed to sign. What should have been an impossible task was achieved quickly and painlessly because of Matt’s mastery of the local lending market. Matt was great! Was stuck with Wells Fargo dragging their feet with bidding deadlines looming. I had challenges due to short duration on 1099 income. Called Matt at 9 AM and told him it was urgent. He got me an approval by 2PM so I could bid.
Thanks to Matt we will be moving in to a great new house in Scotts Valley, CA closing in 3 weeks. This would have not happened had it not been for Matt’s aggressiveness in getting it done.
