Bogner Sheet Metal Heating & Air Conditioning

I look out after an elderly neighbor who’s heater stopped working yesterday morning. I called four separate businesses before I reached Bogner’s site online. All listened as I explained a 96 year old woman needed heat and needed it immediately! However none offered to help as their schedules were booked until at least 3 days out.
I spoke with Ashleigh in the Bogner’s office and she asked for a minute as she contacted Keith. She returned and said Keith could be onsite by 7:30pm if that was acceptable. I was extremely relieved as my neighbors living room hovered in the mid 40’s.
Keith arrived and diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes., made the repairs, and had the heater functioning before long? He also made some recommendations for the future and charged a very fair price considering an emergency night time call.
I couldn’t be happier that these folks gave us some help in a time of need.

I called because my heater wasn’t working and Keith was here within a couple of days to check out the furnace. He didn’t arrive without warning because Judy called me in advance to let me know he would be at my door any moment. He was super friendly and honest about the issue and my options. He scheduled Michael to come out that week to go over my replacement options. Again the office called me to let me know that Michael would be arriving any moment, this time it was Ashley. I had time to lock my dogs up and get dressed. I don’t think people realize how much that brief warning call means. Michael was fantastic and laid out all my options. He also took care of the permit requirements for me so I didn’t have to deal with the county. A few days later I received a «Thank You» card in the mail from Keith – Who does that? It was so nice to receive! I should be the one thanking them. Michael returned on our scheduled install date (today) with Mike the installer. Michael brought a bag of goodies (a blanket, a coffee cup and chocolate inside a reusable grocery bag. He walked me through the paperwork and told me what the next steps were and what timing looked like. I now know I need a carbon monoxide detector on each floor before the inspector comes out – I never knew that. Thanks to Michael, I have time to get that taken care of. A sincere THANK YOU to everyone at Bogner Sheet Metal for being so wonderful and going above and beyond to make this experience so easy and painless. I would recommend them to anyone.

Resolution of an overcharge exceptional!
On 12÷14÷15 a Bogner service technician arrived in response to our call that our furnace had stopped working yesterday morning after the rain/​wind storm. When he arrived I explained that it had been working earlier in the day but then stopped. Also, I mentioned that last week I had changed the air filter and when doing so dropped one of the 2 screw clips down inside the chamber. The technician pulled off the two front panels and after an hour concluded that the circuit board was «shorted to ground» and that a new board would be needed.
Since you do not stock parts, it took 4 cold nights before the circuit board arrived, at an additional cost of $ 50 for air freight from the east coast. When the service technician arrived Friday afternoon on the 18^th, and replaced the circuit board, he found that it short circuited again, and realized that the problem was something else. He took a third panel off and found that the metal clip securing the air filter compartment that had fallen inside had wedged itself between the metal housing and a wire and that this was causing the short. He showed me, removed the clip and put back the original circuit board. So, a 25 cent poorly designed clip that I had dropped caused the short circuit and furnace shut down.
Had this problem been properly diagnosed by the technician, by removing the 3^rd panel, especially after I mentioned that I had dropped the clip, then the problem could have been fixed within the first hour visit, without the cost of circuit board and freight, without the 4 cold nights, and certainly without the extra time at $ 140./hr at 2.25 hours for a total of $ 315.
I wrote basically this summary and that I believed that the fair cost should be limited to the 1 hour diagnostic visit or $ 140. Further, that if it was acceptable to them, they could accept an enclosed check for $ 140. If not, to send me the «appropriate» additional amount due.
I am quite pleased to report that the proposed $ 140 amount was accepted together with an apology for the 4 day wait. Bognor is known as a family business and this resolution demonstrates a commitment to caring for its clientele. Thank you!

I have nothing but praise for the Bogner Sheet Metal team — from the technician/​salesperson to the installation crew and the office staff. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It took almost three full days for the job to be completed, exactly what was estimated, and even though it was unavoidably disruptive it was not that bad because the install crew knew what they were doing. They got the job done efficiently and at the same time were considerate and friendly. I have complete confidence in the quality of their work. Excellent experience overall. Thanks! The system is working great and we’re very happy.

I was trying to get a job completed so the clients renters could move in. The issue was with a wall heater. I called Affordable heating and the mechanic came out and looked at the unit, called me back and told me that he didn’t want to do the job. I was really in a jam then. So I remember Bogner heating from working on a couple of Jobs for Slatter construction (who are great also) and I called them. They sent a mechanic out named Keith the following morning. When Keith arrived on the job he went right to work. I told him about my trouble with Affordable, he was suprised didn’t get the issue. He told me that he would have the heater up and running in no time… and he did! He also balanced the gas pressure and completely cleaned up his work area! Then wrote me a bill which i thought was very fair! I was completely happy all the way around with Bogner Heating and their mechanic Keith. They where a real life sever for me! Very professional! I had some ducting work that needed to be done under my second home that another firm did not do after I had sent them a deposit. They never showed up! I called Bogner and met them to show them the work and in a few days they had done the work and were less exoensive that the first firm that didn’t do the job! They showed up when they were scheduled and completed the work quickly. Kudos to Bogner!

This weekend was HOT outside but thanks to Bogner’s maintenance work, on my air conditioner a couple weeks ago, my home is cool and comfortable. Thanks Bogner!

We called this company because our heating was not working properly in our house (uneven distribution). They have a wonderful customer service team and were extremely helpful. They came out and did a free estimate and said the job would take about an hour or two and they would bid us for time and materials rather than an all inclusive quote. It ended up taking longer than they had anticipated but that’s also because they ran into a few other issues. Overall, good experience with this company and I would go with them again.

Keith from Bogner came out today on a Saturday to fix our furnace that was not heating the house. He was able to remotely diagnose a problem with the thermostat which we were able to replace and he then reset and checked the furnace and everything works fine now. Great service, friendly and professional. He arrived on time and knew a lot about heating systems. Would definitely call them again!

Our furnace was out of date and our ducting had asbestos. We hired Bogner to replace both the furnace and the ducting and to move them into the attic. Bogner replaced the furnace with a high efficiency attic furnace which resulted in a free closet. Bogner also handled all of the permits and inspections and took care of the abatement. They worked hard to meet the city’s requirements as well as mine. Bogner also took care of the finer points by covering the old vent holes and installing the thermostat that I had purchased. The installers were very clean and friendly, showed up on time, cleaned up before they left, and communicated with us every step of the way. Bogner also help to fill out the paper work for all necessary rebates. I am very happy with my new furnace and with the service Bogner has provided.

Horrible experience, first quoted 50 dollars per hour but then when I gave them our address, a small business with a solo owner who works seven days per week to make it, his rate quickly jumped to $ 100 per hour stated and I quote «Well, this is a commercial building so I will have to charge you a FULL RATE $ 100 per hour since this is a commercial building you can afford it, so thats what I am going to charge»
WHAT A HORRIBLE experience, as a person committed to providing jobs for people, doing our best to pay taxes, overcome debt necessary to run a business today and help keep the economy going in this great country to which we love, ITS IS HORRIBLE to hear someone choosing to chip away at a fellow small business owner. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND even calling this company, this was such an unprofessional experience, choose elsewhere — WE DID and I am sure we dodged an expensive bullet!

Really easy to work with, responded to a potential emergency really fast. Their techician was able to to fix rather than replace a really old unit. Would definitely use them again.

My family has been using Bogner for years but it wasn’t until last week that I had a reason to call for furnace repair. Like all of the other comments about them here would indicate, Bogner is the type of service provider you wish ALL service providers would emulate. Shelly the scheduler was very friendly and accommodating, providing a reminder call a day or two before my appointment, and then another call 15 minutes prior to the tech’s arrival in case I left the house during their ‘arrival time window’.
Now I hate to play favorites because I’m sure they have some other great techs, but since my experience was with Sherman I can only speak about him. WHAT A GREAT GUY! Extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, thorough, and he even replaced a couple of dusty furnace filters for me at no charge!
If you need a furnace looked at, or any of their other services, there’s NO reason to go anywhere else!

i had a downstairs heater die of old age, and my upstairs had not been turned on in 5 years or so. i tried to go with a local Valley firm… they completely flaked out on me, so i went with the Big Boys… from the office ladies, my initial contact, the installer and the tech i received the best service ever… each and everyone was totally professional, answered all my questions and generally made me feel completely comfortable with their work. i could not be happier with the new heater !! i would recommend Bogner without hesitation…

I had them come out for a furnace service. Very professional, called to tell me they were on the way and even gave me a rebate on the service. The tech was very knowledgable and helpful.

When Sherman first assessed our furnace I knew we were in great hands. He is thorough and friendly and very helpful. He searched his inventory to help us find an obscure part to our old furnace. He came after work hours the next day to install it and was so kind to take the time to walk us through all our options for replacement. He is a stellar worker and Bogner is a local business worth supporting for the long haul. Thank you for all your hard work!

Our house had a furnace which was on its last legs and needed to be replaced. Bogner very graciously worked around our schedules, even coming out on a couple of evenings. First they measured the whole house in order to properly size the new furnace. They spent quite a bit of time with us to understand our needs and the scope of the project. They met with us again with a work proposal, answered all our questions, and gave us a start date in the very near future.
As it turned out the job required quite a bit more work than they expected. They were great about keeping us informed of what work they were doing, when and why. They could have probably taken shortcuts and slapped something together quickly, but they stuck to it and did the right thing regardless of how long it took. They did not charge us anything extra to cover all the extra work they had to do.
They had numerous opportunities to up-​sell us but they never did. They were great about telling us which work was probably unnecessary and which was worth doing.
I would happily go to them for any services they offer.

I can’t believe Bogner only has 2 reviews so I’m throwing another into the mix. I am a landlord with several properties here in SC and have used them for many situations over 20+ years and they have ALWAYS been top-​notch fabricators and problem solvers. We are so lucky to have this quality little company right around the corner. Good guys/gals…good products/service…SIX stars!

Outstanding! The furnace blower wasn’t working so no air was moving. Never needed service for a furnace repair before & had no idea who to call. Trane’s website listed Bogner’s as a 99% satisfactory and Unilocal had one 5 star review, so I decided to give them a shot. The nice woman who answered my call set me up with a same day apt. Sherman was the technician and did an excellent job. After I explained the problem and showed him the furnace, he took 5 minutes or less to correctly diagnose what was wrong (bad capacitor) He also showed me the old shut off valve for the gas (from 1959 when the house was built) was corroded & recommended replacement. It was great advice so the valve was changed. Sherman was also very friendly, had good info & sound advice & was great with our husky (Sparky).
After we tested the furnace, I went back in the house while Sherman changed the valve and provided a full cleaning of not just the furnace but also the whole furnace closet! Nice. The price was fair, also.
Sherman (and Bogner’s of course) impressed me with their professional and friendly attitude and for leaving the job cleaner than it was when they arrived.
