We bought a house 2 years ago and everything needed to be updated-​kitchen, baths, exterior, landscaping, flooring, everything. We started with the kitchen and bathrooms. And when we were finally ready for the floors, I went to every flooring store in SCV. Let me save you the trouble and time – just go straight to SCV Floorsmith! They were great. Nick came over the SAME DAY I called to measure and give me a quote. He suggested that we refinish our solid oak floors instead of ripping them out-​so glad we listened! He gave me a good package deal for the refinish and the carpet and put us on the schedule. The carpet guys were clean and fast. (And I LOVE the carpet!!!) The refinish guys were also fast and clean and also had to put up with my indecision about stain color (sorry Jose!!). They were very professional and patient.
I can’t believe what a difference new floors made in our house! It’s had a bigger impact than all of the other renovations we’ve done so far! I absolutely love it. Thanks, Nick!

SCV Floorsmith went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute emergency needs to help a client remove and reinstall carpets and replace some of the carpets with hard flooring that Nick suggested to help save the homeowner money in the long run with allowing animals in his rental. It looks so amazing! They did it all in one day, just in time for the the first of the month to get it rented out.
My client and I are extremely happy with the results. SCV did an excellent job, great craftsmanship, lightning speed time, and great pricing. I could not imagine anyone topping all these variables. If I could give this company six stars I would. We needed hardwood flooring at the last minute for a home we just purchased in Valencia. Nick came to the house that very same morning, gave us a fair price and started installation that very afternoon. They worked until late in the evening and finished it the very next morning. We were able to move in as soon as escrow closed so we were very happy. Thank you Nick!

I don’t know if I should begin with Nick’s amazing customer service or his teams efficient execution of removing and installing our new carpet. Nick not only went out of his way to come to my house and give me an estimate when he was already off of work, but he went above and beyond to make sure my carpet was installed ASAP, so we could go back to living comfortably in or house.
On Friday morning, Nick’s team showed up and immediately got to work. They moved all the furniture in what I thought was lighting speed. They were constantly in communication with us to make sure everything was done right and the way we imagined. None of our walls or base boards were scratched and they cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend SCV Floorsmith. Quick quote, professional and polite. We had carpet floors replaced with the hardwood in 3 bedrooms to match the rest of the house. Nick worked with us to match the new floors as close as possible and to fit the job into our budget. He went through all the options with us and we agreed on the most optimal one for our situation. The installing crew was quick, clean, professional and very pleasant. The transition between the existing and the new hardwood floors is pretty much unnoticeable. We love our new floors!

When I decided to replace my flooring, I was nervous about choosing a good company, as I had hired someone a few years ago and was unhappy with the way the flooring was installed. But this was NOT the case with SCV Floorsmith. I had an excellent experience with them from start to finish. They provided a reasonable and accurate estimate, and Nick was easy to work with. I had luxury vinyl plank installed over old hardwood flooring. The installers were on time, removed the existing carpet and installed the new flooring flawlessly. They did an amazing job, and finished 3 rooms in one day! When Nick found out that there were only 2 planks left at the end of the job, he had an extra box of flooring delivered to me to have in case of any needed future repairs! This THE company to call for all your flooring needs!

SCV Floorsmith completed a total flooring replacement for a 3 bedroom condo which included laminate & carpet installation and refacing the fireplace. Nick and Shirag were great to work with throughout the process. They listened to my needs and likes, and recommended the material and styles that were just right for me. The work was done on time and on budget. Any concerns I had were resolved quickly to my satisfaction. Overall, a great experience. We were very pleased with our decision to have SCV Floorsmith redo our floors! We got several bids and they weren’t the lowest, but they price matched the lowest bid we got and we liked them so much we decided to hire them! We tiled our house with carpet in the bedrooms and an inset of carpet in the living room. The tile guy showed up on time every day and worked all day. He even came on Saturday. The carpet guys were awesome as well! If we ever need a job done we will return to scv Floorsmith. They do great work and are extremely professional!

We really needed to get our carpet replaced and done quickly before moving our stuff into our home. SCV Floorsmith came through for us! We absolutely LOVE our carpet and the padding! Thank you Nick and your team for staying open after your closing time to accommodate us, and for doing an awesome job! This place has a wide variety to choose from! They removed the old carpet and padding, installed the new padding and carpet in our upstairs + stairs — all in less than a day! And they did an amazing job! Wow, absolutely amazing! I cannot express how incredible and accommodating they were. It’s rare to find this level of service and quality work these days. We are moving into a new office and the older carpet was awful so we needed it replaced ASAP. I didn’t want to bring all of our furniture and machines over to the new office until the carpet was done so I asked if we could have carpet installed yesterday. The guy laughed and said he would see what he could do. Someone came out to measure and then they literally started installing it the very next day. They weren’t able to finish that day so they came in early the next day (on Saturday) and finished it up. I was so pleased with the amazing service and that they accommodated my insane timeframe. The carpet is exactly what I wanted and the installers were great, very clean, professional, and friendly. Pricing was about the same as all other local quotes but no one was offering to install that soon.

We hired this company to redo tile floors in a town home. They were very quick, efficient and easy to work with. They got the job done ahead of schedule. We would give them close to 5 stars but the initial quote was very vague and unspecific. The final price was a lot higher… but we were in a time crunch so we went ahead with the project. Overall, we were satisfied with their work and we would recommend them to our neighbors.

SCV Floorsmith redid every floor in my house. They demolished all of the tile on the main level and removed carpet from the upstairs. We worked with Nick to pick out new tile and carpet that would match our style and décor. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. He recommended products and even coordinated with paint samples we were picking out for our walls. During the construction phase he and his team were easy to work with and Nick also decided to redo both fireplaces so they would be up to date as well. The work is meticulous. Our house looks brand new. Would highly recommend this company!

I have only had SCV Floorsmith do small jobs for me, but every time they have, Nick has made sure it was done well. I’m not brand new to flooring as I’ve had many jobs done in the past few years. However, the quality of craftsmanship and high end products made for a great combo. The customer service at SCV Floorsmith is unmatched. There are so many rip off company’s out there but this is NOT one of them.

Highly recommended! Nick made me feel like a VIP and the carpet he recommended and the guys that installed the carpet were better than I ever would have expected. The quality of the work and the carpet, especially the padding, was very nice. I shopped around a lot and am very happy I selected SCV Floorsmith.

These guys did excellent carpet job on our curved stair case, upstairs bedrooms and hallway. We love the detail they did with preping, cleaning and moving furniture.

I used SCV for carpeting in my new home. The house was built in 1969 and had REALLY old carpet/​pad. The house recently had popcorn ceilings removed and there was a mess everywhere. The SCV team did a fantastic job! The cleaned up the dust that had fallen from the popcorn ceilings and did a BRILLIANT job on the install. The sales guy was helpful with getting me a great quality carpet and advising me on the best pad for the carpet type (it wasn’t the most expensive option either).
I will surely refer SCV to my friends/​family.

Nick did a great job for us. Gave a good tight estimate, his guys arrived on time and cleaned up well post install. In the AM when they arrived, my wife had a change of heart on the design. Nick worked with her, went to her office to review the design, gave new quotes and still completed the job on time. A definite recommend from us. Here is how the final product looked.

I was referred to SCV Floorsmith when I called up Cali Bamboo to find a supplier. They are one of only two Cali Bamboo suppliers in the SCV. Walked into the store and had Nick over for an estimate the next day. I paid exactly what I expected to pay. Once the materials were shipped and in my home (to acclimate for a week), the project was done in a week and a half (over Memorial Day weekend, or it would have been faster). I had the entire downstairs redone (4 floors).
In the middle, my washing machine broke and I got rid of it and the dryer and purchased new ones, to be shipped the following week. I called Nick to see if he could have my laundry tiled before they were installed. The job was done the next day!
As luck would have it, my AC broke, leaking all over the new floor two weeks after it was placed. Nick was out the next day, and had the old boards removed, working side by side with the AC repair guy (I’ll write a review on them next). I have been able to reach Nick on his cell any time I need to. He is an excellent contractor and has a great group of guys working for him. Once I recover from unexpectedly replacing the AC and washer/​dryer, he’ll be doing the rest of the house. :)

We found SCV Floorsmith through a flyer brought to the front door of a house we had just bought. The house was empty and was having interior paint done at the time. The guy that came to the door (found out later that it was Ben) was really nice, not pushy at all. He and the owner Nick work out of their showroom right down the road from us, seriously maybe ½ mile away.
The house had really amazing tile from Spain throughout the downstairs which we wanted to keep for sure, along with sort of gnarly but still workable carpet on the stairs and throughout the whole upstairs. We thought wow, it’d be really nice to get rid of the carpet and have ANY other type of flooring installed by these guys– but we were already into a decent amount of money for paint plus which we had other renovations planned so we didn’t think we could really justify replacing the carpet.
Not long after that though, not wanting to give up on the idea of losing the carpet and all of its germs– I called Nick just to see if there was something available that would work with what we could spend. He came over the very next afternoon to do some measurements and talk to us. We found there were some options that cost less than we expected. He had some samples in his car that looked great with our paint color and he invited us to his showroom to see more.
This was on Tuesday and Tim and I couldn’t go to the showroom together until Saturday– and fortunately or unfortunately, by Saturday the the new paint was even further underway and it made the carpet look super old and even more nasty. We knew we wanted to get flooring installed-​it was just a matter of which type and how to cover it with what we could spend.
Ben and Nick are friendly and polite, easy to talk to and very enthusiastic about their products. They spent a good amount of time talking to us about differences in types of flooring and installations. We ended up with a really cool hand-​distressed hardwood we had seen when Nick first came over and he said they could get started with the installation that same week and finish up roughly a week later.
We also talked that day about using carpet vs hardwood on the stairs– there is a set of 14 stairs in the house that get wider and longer in different angles as you get closer to the bottom. Using hardwood on stairs is definitely more expensive because of the labor involved and additional material required to finish off the fronts of them. We also used a contrasting shade of the same hand-​distressed hardwood on the vertical part of the stairs. These stairs were way more difficult than if they had just been the same size all the way down but the guys installing the flooring completely knew what they were doing.
The end result is amazing and totally worth the extra cost. The team of 5 installers (Efren, Tony, Boni, Chuck, and Tony) worked together really well and were obviously experienced at what they did. Everything from removing and carting away the old carpet/​pads– to sanding/​preparing the subfloor –to the actual cutting of the hardwood to lengths for the install and laying it into the rooms and stairs –was so smooth and organized. They worked hard and kept things clean and definitely seemed to think of it as a craft, not just a job.
They also ripped out the old short baseboards and installed new taller baseboards throughout the whole upstairs, even in the bathrooms which weren’t included when we first talked about baseboards –and managed to finish up all of this in time for the paint team to come back in and caulk/​fill and paint the baseboards before we moved in.
This is not the least expensive place you can go for floors. We know it isn’t, although we didn’t talk to anyone else in person or have them come out– but this floor is amazing, the high quality of the workmanship/​installation is impossible to describe and it was worth spending more in cost for the stairs and also because they could jump into the job right away like they did. It was the right choice to cut back on the other stuff we had planned in order to get this product installed so well and so quickly. No question we are crazy about these floors, way more than we could’ve ever imagined, and the stairs are like art.
These are things that should be considered when choosing a vendor of any type– be aware that you should work off of the longer end of the timeframe quoted if you are trying to time a move or other renovations around the completion of any type of work– be sure to get an all-​in price including sales tax and any addons or discounts whenever you are getting quotes for any type of work– and be aware that this company discourages the use of credit cards because the fee cuts into their margin, so get this sorted out up front if you want to use a credit card to get airline miles.
These guys will totally take care of you-​they want you to be happy with the finished result and will really do whatever it takes to give a nice experience. Highly recommended for sure.
