Right Way Driving School

Loved Right Way drivers training! As a parent I’m not that secure to get in a vehicle with my new driver. However, Lewis took my daughter out and was fantastic in building her confidence. He spoke with me after the lessons telling me how I could help and what we could work on together. I’m very happy with their trainer, their service and scheduling.

Not a bad driving school but they just raised their rates like twenty percent.

Don’t like the fact that they make you pay up front for the 3 classes at time of booking. Other places are less expensive and don’t make you pay until after the completion of the first driving lesson.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I would give them a negative star if that’s possible. I am furious at the way they treated me here. The first lesson I had was actually okay but honestly, I hardly learned anything that I needed to know for passing my driving test.
First off, they don’t know a thing about customer service. The girls who work in the office are extremely rude and don’t seem to know much. Second, they messed up on my payment and on my bank account it came up that they took out twice the amount they were supposed to. I guess it was my mistake that I made the payment over the phone. I had to go in on my second lesson to fix the payment however, when I went in, the girl told me that I had to make another payment because they refunded my other one that had been already made. It didn’t make any sense to me, but I did it anyways since they promised I would get my money back within three days. But in my bank account already 170 had been pulled out. What was worse was that the instructor got mad at me for the «attitude» I had and told me that «he didn’t need to drive with me if he didn’t want to and that we could go back in to cancel the lesson» and get a refund. I was appalled at how rude he was being and I just canceled the lesson.
If I am paying close to a hundred bucks per class, I would expect these guys to be a bit more professional and nicer to the customers. I wish I had checked Unilocal before going to these guys in the first place.
Let’s just hope I get all my money back within three days.

Had my behind the wheel test a couple days after my lesson with Right Way. I used what the instructor had «taught» me and totally bombed the test. Best advice he gave me was when I was having troube driving too far to the right and accidentally going over the line once or twice. His words of advice to mefar as staying in my own lane and avoiding the lines were, verbatim, «it’s not that hard, just look at them.» Later I learned from my dad that to really be able to stay in the proper spot, it helps to focus on the car ahead lf you.
A couple weeks later, I had a lesson with DriversEdDirect. Took the test a few days after that using what they taught me, and aced it. Totally nice instructor. She was very funny, and the entire staff there was efficient and helpful. Save yourself the trouble and money – go to dirverseddirect instead. It costs some extra, but you TOTALLY get your money’s worth.

I called a couple of weeks ago to see when they held class and was told Saturday January 5, and that all I had to do was to simply show up for class, no need to sign up, didn’t even ask for my name or info.
Saturday the 5^th came around and just to make sure I had the right address (on San Fernando Rd., next to Saugus Café), I called before leaving for the school. The guy that answered the phone said there was NO class that day! Either they had messed up the first time I called them or they had simply cancelled the class for who knows what reason…
To complicate matters more, I had no more time left to do traffic school so I was simply out of luck! I will never try to use them again, and I will never recommend such a shabby business to anyone.

right way has monoplozied the driver training courses, and boy do they take advantage of it
of the 3 «instructors» i had, (each course requires three diffferent days of driving)
my first guy threw up in the car and got sick all over becaue of a hangover, he was over 65 btw
second guy was some old asian guy who couldnt speak a lick of english and grabs the wheel every turn b/​c he thinks you cantdrive so theres a death sentence
but my 3^rd guy was pretty cool, laid back, relaxed, spoke english, young, and a good instructor
unfortunately i do not remember thei names but im sure you can figure out who i am talking about

warning book your time fast or you may have too change your test date. We were not warned and they had no care to help us make the deadline!
My son liked the instructors however and overall they helped prep him well

Rude, unprofessional, insolent – this basically sums up my experience with Right Way. As a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley for most of my life, I know that when it comes to driving schools, you don’t have many options.
I found that the employees here are extremely rude to their students and have little vigor or resolve to create a decent learning environment. I will cover both Driver’s Ed classes as well as Driver’s Training, and my experience with both.
Driver’s Ed:
Sure, this is convenient – it’s a four day class from 8AM-3:45PM. Right Way advertises this «class» as a hands-​on, comprehensive course to properly guide up-​and-​coming drivers of Santa Clarita and its surrounding areas. This seems to be the closest legal thing to false advertising I have ever seen. Certain students were treated with priority (bribed, given money, etc.), while others were kicked out of the course (without refund, mind you) for the most minor offense. What disgusted me most was the owner, Terry Carter’s, own ridiculing of a student with a medical condition – calling her rude and disrespectful. Honestly, how can someone in his or her right mind call a medical condition «rude»? My hatred for this institution is likely a derivative of this sole occurrence.
Driver’s Training:
Right Way pairs up each student with three driving instructors over a period of three lessons behind the wheel. What I found was that my first two instructors spoke nothing of driving: the first one talked to me about how her kids don’t celebrate Halloween and her love for peanut butter, while the second insisted on telling me that his little brother would «crucify» people on the video game Call of Duty. If I knew I would have to endure hours of useless conversation, I would have invested in a pair of noise-​cancelling headphones to wear during my lessons (even if it’s illegal – a ticket would be far less painful). Those were my first two lessons – but my third one was actually conducted by a more strict, driving-​oriented person (an anomaly at Right Way). I would have learned much more if I had this instructor for all three lessons, but I found that by the time I had began driving with the third instructor, the previous two hadn’t taught me anything useful for my license test. The third teacher was good (despite the fact that he said «buck-​wild» on the phone with his daughter like ten times, which I didn’t think people even said anymore) – therefore, it seems as though at Right Way, you have a 33% (or less) chance of getting a semi-​decent driving teacher.
Who knows, maybe this was just my terrible experience with Right Way Driving School, but from the look of these other reviews, I’m not the only one. I would recommend trying another driving institution in Santa Clarita – there are options like AAA, so please do yourself or your kids a favor and check those out first.

Well we went to court and my daughter was fined 415.00 because of the poor driving instruction from this school.
