My wife had been researching laminate floors and installers for months, and was basically driving me berserk… couldn’t make up her mind. Finally, she discovered My Modern Floors, and the search was over! Thanks, Nick! Can’t tell ya how much simpler my life is these days!
The crew came in on a Saturday, and basically worked their butts off. When the job was done, the house was transformed, and I can’t tell ya how much happier Susie is! And all things considered, the price was the best that we found. The quality of the material and installation appears excellent, and Nick is a very pleasant person.
Couldn’t be happier with the results! Would recommend… and will recommend… these folks to anybody wanting new flooring!

What a find! Don’t waste your time pricing other places and comparative shopping. Go straight to My Modern Floors and expect top tier customer service. We had just purchased a home for our family and wanted a great deal without having to sacrifice quality. Fortunately we found William and he not only educated us on the product and what would best suit our needs but in addition he put together a deal that respected our budget. Given the size of new home was over 4,000 sf I was hesitant that we could make it work. William not only came through but got his installers in our home to complete the work on a super tight time frame. If you have any need for new carpet I would highly recommend you head straight for My Modern Floors and ask for William.

Amazing amazing amazing. Now there were many choices out here in the Santa Clarita Valley. I know because I received quotes from many of them. I finally located My Modern Floors. What an amazing business, customer service and just all around service. We were on a very strict budget. I explained this to William and he worked his magic and created a brand new home for my family. The work and quality were above many that we had even considered. Hands down this was the best pick. They delivers just like they said and it was amazing!

I researched, called and even visited other places before committing to My Modern Floors for my flooring project. It was pretty scary considering it was the entire second floor they were going to do for me. Not to mention I was skeptical about laminate due to a previous bad experience with Pergo over 15 years ago. However, Nick was so confident about this product and the samples looked great so I took a chance and went with a 12 mm laminate with texture! I must say laminate flooring has come a long way in 15 years! I am really happy with this product and especially the installation crew. They took their time and were meticulous with their work, they showed up when they said they were and completed exactly when they said they would.
One thing to really take into consideration when picking a flooring company is the installation, most companies will sub-​contract the install to another company. That can be a problem since you usually know nothing about who may show up at your door to install your floors. Nick uses his own employees to install and any problems that may arise you talk to Nick and he takes care of it. This was very important to me. Overall I am very pleased with Nick, William and the install crew, I would easily recommend them to friends and family and have in fact already done so!

This is the best place for any flooring… we could not be happier with our new laminate floors. They offered the best prices and highest quality product and best of all was the fast installation in just one day! Thanks again Nick!

One of the scariest things in life is deciding to put wood floors in your home. After going to at least 15 stores I found one right here in Santa Clarita after going to every store in the SFV, Burbank Glendale and here locally I found My Modern Floors.
I am so happy I found them.

This is the place to come for carpeting (ask for William). Great selection, prices, and service. I needed 3 rooms carpeted in my rental property very quickly, and they came through as promised — and at a lower price than I was offered other places. The installers were very professional and courteous also. Thank you William!

I just had My Modern Floors install new wood flooring throughout the house. (approx. 2,000 square feet) Also all new 4 inch baseboard molding throughout. From first meeting Bill in the office to Nick the owner and his terrific professional installers, I couldn’t have been happier. I realize it’s a good idea to always shop around for contractors but in this case you can’t go wrong with My Modern Floors. My wife inspected everything after the work was completed and I was waiting for her to find some kind of problem, but everything was flawless! I would definitely without question recommend My Modern Floors to anyone. These guys are fantastic.

Amazing experience! We shopped around forever to get wooden floors upstairs and decided on Modern Floors. From start to finish it was great. Nick has an attention to detail and really knows his stuff… pointed out things that I would never think to ask about. They showed up on time with a large crew and these guys can work! What a great team of people. I’ve had them back since to tile a bathroom and so happy with that too. Save yourself time and use these guys, super professional. Would never go anywhere else.

So happy! I had gotten estimates from a few other people, even «friends». But since MMF had such good reviews on Unilocal,I decided to stop in and was greeted by William… From there the service continued to be great. William pulled out a million samples, since I couldn’t make up my mind, and then sent me home with 3 samples I thought I wanted. When I called back a few days later and decided I didn’t like those, I ended up meeting Nick. The great service only continued. He pulled out quite a few more samples, and sent me home with a few more to“test”. He met me at home to give me an estimate, and to my surprise he was just as good (in one case better) with his price. But the product options were superior!!! He scheduled me in for the next week, his guys arrived on time. They reviewed all of my desires and expectations, and got to work on time!!! They were quick, clean, and my floors look amazing!!! My experience ended just as high as it began. William reeled me in, and Nick sealed the deal. So happy I chose them!!!

I originally found the store and talked to Nick a year ago but decided to hold off on the work. When we finally decided to remove our carpets downstairs and put in flooring, Nick was one of the people I called in for an estimate. His prices were extremely reasonable so we decided to go with him.
Communication with his was great and he helped us pick out exactly what we wanted.
He had 3 of his guys show up on Monday and as soon as they walked through the door, they got to working. These guys hustled! Nick came by in the morning to make sure all was going well and then came back in the evening again to inspect the work. I am VERY happy with their work. The guys did a great job with the floors. Very neat and looks fantastic. Cleaned up and hauled off the carpet like they said they would. Everything went smoothly and they were very pleasant. Thanks Nick for a great job! Will definitely use again and highly recommend!

It’s a huge decision to get new flooring for the whole house but Nick made everything so easy for me. Not only Nick helped me with my material selection, he has great pricing as well. He did not try to up-​sell me anything and was always honest about everything.
The crew did a great job on the installation. I am very impressed by their professionalism and they got everything done in a timely manner. Nick showed up everyday to check on the progress as well.

Choosing flooring can be a stressful and overwhelming PERMANENT decision.
We entered My Modern Floors and were immediately greeted by Nick. We looked around the store and were impressed by the quality and elegance of their merchandise displayed in their showroom.
The quality of the hardwood is comparable, if not better, than the hardwood offered by large chain companies and local competitors. They have a variety of options with great wood grade, elegance, shades, sizes and designs.
The prices are, without a doubt, the best in the SCV and SFV. We discovered the EXACT floors inquired about in other stores, compared by brand, model, and series number, cost less at my modern floor.
Nick was easy to work with and honest. He was attentive, knowledgable, and adopted our vision.
He assisted us with phone calls checking stock, prices and delivery availability instantly and without feeling pressured. Nick assisted throughout the entire process and PHYSICALLY helped us with the delivery.
My wife and I are extremely grateful and happy with the service and quality. They have definitely gained a customer for life.

My oldest son was finishing his final Naval deployment for four months and I wanted to get him really nice milestone gift.
At first I was going to get him a nice watch. Then I decided on new furniture then I just decided to renovate his entire house and furnish it as a surprise, after all I had four months right!
I live in SCV and my son’s home is in San Diego. Much to my surprise flooring/​installation is almost $ 3.00 more per sq. ft. compared to LA County. Now in a dilemma I found Modern Floors on Unilocal and just stopped in. Nick immediately told me, «no problem I recently had another customer in Las Vegas, San Diego is closer» relieved I then started to checkout all of the samples with Bill. He is a retired designer and naturally is very creative. My son is 24 a skater, surfer, and has a half pipe in the back yard with lots of friends. Bill was incredibly helpful showing me the samples that would be suited for my sons active lifestyle, resistant to wear and tear, water and look amazing for years to come. Bill loaded up my car with lots of samples and I brought them to San Diego for the final decision.
Bill placed my order and I was on the calendar within a few days for installation. Nick told me he would join his crew to oversee and make sure he had extra materials so there are no issues which made me feel at ease because I had no time to spare.
The morning of the install they arrived before I did. The large Modern Floors truck was in the driveway and unloaded. All of the crew had a uniform shirt, a big smile and were very professional. I didn’t even have to tell them to have their miter saws and materials outside, it was already setup. So many contractors I work with are lazy and just want to make the cuts inside as they work and dust is everywhere. I really appreciated Nick and his crew because I didn’t have to do anything but what I needed to do in the house while I was there. Honestly I just checked once and a while for the aesthetics. They would come to me if there was a issue with the house but they had a solution each time and even made custom moulding out of the flooring for me in two area’s of the kitchen. They finished earlier than I expected and cleaned up and even hosed down the front where they were working. I love men who clean up without asking, priceless!
I work with lots of contractors and sub contractors and you typically get what you pay. Often I pay a bit more to not have to deal with the headaches! However Modern Floors all inclusive pricing and customer service is impeccable you can’t go wrong. It’s just amazing how they cater to all of your needs from the moment you walk in the door to the final phase and completion.
If you need any kind of flooring from modern, to traditional to high end wide plank oiled European oak this is the one and only place to go!

Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews! Nick was so awesome and patient with me. I am totally indecisive but Nick patiently talked me through the options for over an hour. He laid out the floor samples in different lighting throughout the store. He also let me take home a couple of samples to help me decide. His prices are great! I was quoted for nearly double for a comparable floor at another SCV flooring store. Often times, things can be overpriced in SCV. I wish Nick much success in SCV!

Highly recommended! We had all our carpeted area changed to laminated wood and it looked Awesome! I had my reservations on the stairs at first, but it came out like a model home! Nick and his father supervised the whole job and they finished the flooring in 3 days. My wife and I were very pleased with their professionalism! We got quotes from other stores but Nick’s was the best deal in Santa Clarita valley.

I recently visited my ex-​wife and noticed she had installed beautiful wood floors. It was classy and made her house look like a million bucks. She informed me that they were Acacia floors. Wow… I hadn’t seen these until I saw hers. She gave me the referral information and I called Nick the next day at MY MODERN FLOORS in Santa Clarita.
I highly recommend Nick. His family owned and operated company (always a huge plus) does fantastic work, is reasonably priced, and very reliable. If anything unforeseen comes up. He is quick to notify you about the issue and reschedules you for the very next possible time. Communication is a very big plus for me. He was always on time, as this was a two day install of custom hardwood floors and a staircase. They look better now than I could have imagined. Thanks Nick!
