Horrible food and horrible service... was very disappointed

Not your normal bar fare. Fresh, quality food and very fast service. The staff there is super friendly and it’s just a great atmosphere to watch a football game or hang out with your friends. Definitely coming back soon even though I live over an hour away. Mike and Renée are the best!

If you love cheers than you’ll love this place… a place where everyone knows your name. MAYBE BECAUSE EVERYBODY NAME IS MIKE… lol just kidding. My favorite place to have a beer and watch a game a listen to great stories at the bar. Food is good. Drinks are better and owners are great.

Hadn’t been to Bergies in a few years because the food and service got to be intolerable. Tonight we decided to try it out again because ownership recently changed hands. So glad we did because everything was so great! The food was better than it ever was before… EVER! The salads were fresh, the steaks cooked to perfection and the fries were the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Bergies is back!

Ellie, the owner was wonderful! It was my hubby’s BDay and I wanted to surprise him by taking him Karaokeing. Although the place is small, Ellie said she would do everything in her power to reserve a table for 10. She did not disappoint! The other comments about the food were all true! The the burgers and fries are some of the best in town without being pricy! Our server was awesome and our whole group was still talking about how much fun they had! Thank you Ellie for making my husband’s birthday one of the best he’d ever had! We will all be back!

Cold beer! Great food! Amazing entertainment! This place has come back from the old owner. There is no other place like it around here. Cheersish… SO FUN

Well new owners must know nothing about running a bar, because a fight broke out, two people where jumped and the staff could not even call the police. Will NEVER go back, don’t like fearing for my safety!

Fantastic first visit. The burgers are really some of the best ever and you have to the the steak fries… awesome!

The best hidden secret in Santa Clarita (not for long). The word is getting out that Bergie’s has new owners and newbies are coming to check it out, and those from the past are returning. If your looking to kill some time, or just passing thru then stop in and check this place out you too will become a regular!
This is definitely a place you can come hang out with some friends for a drink, have a great meal, and play some darts. In the evenings, they have live entertainment (dj, bands, karaōke) a little something for everyone.
The new owners, Mike and Renee have done a lot to the place in such a short time and are planning to do more. It’s very refreshing to see owners come in who take pride in their establishment. The staff is awesome and very attentive. It doesn’t take many visits for you to come in before they know your drink (or food) of choice. Not long after that before your drink is there waiting for you when you sit down.
The food on the menu here is delicious, but my favorite is the patty melt with steak fries. It’s prepped and cooked to perfection every time. I’m never disappointed.

I’m very picky when it comes to bars and I’m definitely a Dive Bar kind Guy, So when I bumped into Bergie’s years back, I knew I had to keep it a secret cause I didn’t want certain Douche Bags I know making it their hang out… Now I can’t stop other Douche Bags from coming in and being all loud n’ playing bad music on the juke box (modern Hip hop or any modern top 40 crap) but they stay for an hour or two then they’re off like a dirty smelly sock, Thank God!
When you come to a place like this, you wanna get away from the outside world to relax, maybe have good conversation or maybe just get a drink on your own… it also helps when the place has a cool bartender… first time I brought my friend, playing loud on the speakers and I was in Heaven… and I’ll be drinking a Rum n’ Coke at the bar with my head on the bar enjoying one of the last Great getaways for all. Reviewing it as a Dive Bar: as good as it gets. If you were a teenager in the 70’s or the 80’s, it might be the place for you. I came in there, a friendly waitress sat us down, nothing fancy, in the big, wood dark booths. My wife and I both of course noticed what everyone else seems to notice: um… yeah, that bartender is pretty hot.
Journey, Styx, Boston, Led Zep, AC DC, um… I love you guys? Is it awkward that we just met and I’m saying that?
Note: this place is not for everyone. My wife doesn’t even want to come back. But I’m an old river rat and dirt biker, who used to get baked at the lake in Riverside or trashed in the Antelope Valley desert on my dirt bike. I’m older and run a business and have a family now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love me a night at a great dive bar.
The drinks were good. The selection is not bad, but hipsters beware, they don’t have a carefully crafted selection of ales and pilsners from your favorite artsy hideaway communities (mind you I love drinking beer with hipsters too). But they do have a decent selection.
The burger was very good! The fries were a bit overdone but good! I had a really great time. Best dive bar I’ve ever been to, and definitely a place on my list for the next «boys night out» plan.

I hadn’t been to Bergie’s in several years, but went to visit a friend and had a blast! You HAVE to get the fried zucchini. It’s fresh and in the best batter. If you like clam chowder, you will love theirs. It’s made fresh daily and will definitely bring me back. My husband had a steak and it was so tasty. The new owners are awesome, too! You really can’t go wrong here. Good food, good drinks, and friendly atmosphere.
Love, love, love this place as a new hang out.

Dodger games. Darts. Cool peeps and staff. Bergie’s is the best local dive bar anyone could ask for.
The burgers are juicy, fries are always piping hot and served in generous portions and the beer ice cold.
If the locals aren’t filling the bar, grab a seat and enjoy.

Place is a great Dive Bar, I believe was Sara, was fantastic, the Burgers Great, and other customers made you feel great and welcome. Don’t live in area, but I will be back.

The music on Tuesdays is great! they have a live band also great! The food is great… The only complaint is the food is too HOT… lol if that’s a problem. Margie the server is great! Super sweet, greats all with a hug. Feels like home.

GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE! For several years, Bergie’s was one of our favorite restaurants (going back nearly 30 years ago, when it was the Sandpiper). We’d always enjoyed the friendly service, the really good food (especially the burgers, chicken and tri-​tip), and the comfy «good» dive atmosphere. All that ended about two years ago, when, with a change in management, everything seemed to go downhill in a big way, and we no longer felt welcomed or comfortable in what used to be one of our favorite places.
Yesterday I was craving a burger, and, having heard that Bergie’s was under new ownership (as of January), decided to give them one more try. I’m so glad I did!
When we walked in the door, it was immediately evident that the place had been completely cleaned up. We met Renee, the new owner, and she could not have been more friendly and welcoming. She shared her plans for Bergie’s, and it’s clear that she is determined to win back all of the former customers who, like us, had left years ago. Those plans include Blues Nights, Classic Rock Nights, Prime Rib Night, and lots of other things.
The best part is that the service is friendly and attentive, and the food is well-​prepared and delicious. Bergie’s has an entire menu page devoted to charbroiled burgers, but I’m a purist who sticks with the Bergie’s Burger: fresh-​ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles. My boyfriend went with the Bacon Cheese Burger (which includes bacon bits mixed into the beef), and said it, too, was delicious. The seasoned French fries were hot, crispy, and not greasy. I don’t know if they still make their own salad dressings, but the blue cheese and 1,000 Island were very tasty. The craving was completely satisfied. We’re looking forward to returning often to Bergie’s and supporting the neighborhood and the terrific new owners. For locals, Bergie’s is now part of 25 Score, and offers a 10% discount on food orders, including specials — give them a try!

Cold beer, warm burger and a hot bartender. Had a good time watching NASCAR. Everyone was having bottomless mimosas. I have not had a burger here I did not like. Handmade fried zucchini to die for. Good service and they care about the customer.

This place is the best bar in town ! Gorgeous bartenders and the owners are the coolest people on earth. Don’t miss a chance to eat great food and awesome drinks. They also have a dart board and a great happy hour. I can’t stress how good the food is. Never disappointed.
