The food was good but the service was pretty crappy… The cashier spoke in a monotone voice, like she hated her life lol. And then when my food was ready, the guy mumbled something to me and I said«huh?» And then he yelled it louder but I still didn’t understand wtf he was saying so I just said«yeah» and then he threw a bunch of sauce on my food… I was like uuuhhhhh, okay thanks!

The food is delicious but the customer service is terrible. I guess that’s what you have to expect with food court restaurants.

This place was yummy!!! A bit on the pricey side for food court fare, but a really good option for sushi in the Valley Fair mall. Service was prompt and sushi was solid — not the best I’ve ever had but not the worst either. After a day of walking around the mall, this sushi really hit the spot. Will probably come back again.

20% cheaper than a restaurant, but half the fish. Still not that bad. It’s not a tip it’s a review. It’s not a tip it’s a review. It’s not a tip it’s a review. It’s not a tip it’s a review. It’s not a tip it’s a review.

Great healthy super fast choice at the mall. Love their specials. During week days they offer chicken teriyaki veggies and rice for less than $ 6. A value I dont like to pass!;) they also have a sushi restaurant at valley fair. Love Love love their selections! Tip: a little saracha sauce on top is BOMB!

I came 3 minutes after the mall had already opened and went to order, and was greeted with a beyond irritated look and a «Not yet». I then had to prompt the associate and ask her what time the shop would be open, and after that she told me «ten more minutes» in an extremely unfriendly tone. If you’re going to open late, at least be apologetic about it

Thinking back, was my food even technically Japanese? Hmm, well anyway I got the beef and shrimp with plain rice. The plate was 85% rice. The shrimp was either still slightly uncooked or just bad shrimp because it didn’t have a nice pink color that shrimp is supposed to have. The beef was bland and it was unappetizing seeing them defrost it on the grill from a patty form(that’s what I get for eating Asian fast food haha). Overall, it wasn’t flavorful and not that filling. I did appreciate that I got my food quickly(2 minutes? But slightly raw shrimp!) and at least nothing was swimming in oil and grease. I don’t think I’ll eat here again. If I’m craving Asian fast food I’ll go to Panda Express or cook it myself instead.

One of my favorite pit-stops at the Valley Fair Mall for a meal! Unfortunately the last time I went, they ran out of noodles, but that was ok. Fried rice was a good alternative, although the rice grains seem to be getting thinner and thinner! What’s up with that? There is a $ 0.50 upcharge for fried rice or noodles, and $ 1.50 extra for extra chicken. If you are splitting the meal, definitely get the extra chicken. It’s worth it! When I was looking for a yummy place to get to-go food, I immediately went to Sarku because from past experience, that’s the only food that will remain hot for a good while. You won’t be disappointed! The chefs are always friendly, and if they are in an especially good mood, they will give you extra sauce for your toppings. Take advantage of that! I’ve never tasted the beef or shrimp, but the chicken is prettttttyyy tasty!

This is for the sushi bar. Great food with fast service, not very many varieties, but as mall food goes, and sushi in particular, do not skip this place. Right across from the Thai place and near Jamba Juice, you can get a few rolls to share and have a great experience. Usually get California Rolls and the Green Dragon Roll. Last time I also got the Shrimp Tempura which was very delicious. My GF loves coming here as do I. Great food.

What do you do when you’re hungry while shopping at Valley Fair? You make a pitstop at Sarku Japan. This is now my go to spot for a quick bite to eat if I’m at the mall. The items are simple: chicken, shrimp and/or beef, some veggies, & rice/noodles for some starch in my tummy. You wouldn’t expect mall food to be good, but this place makes the cut. I love the tender chicken and the shrimp the best. The veggies are sauteed just enough to add a slight crunch. I typically get noodles(it’s 50cents more though) to fill your stomach a bit more. The meat and veggies are pretty consistently great. The noodles can be a bit soft sometimes, but it’s still tasty for it. I normally don’t like teriyaki sauce because it bit sweet for me, but this place isn’t that sweet. Even when I douse my meal with extra sauce, the sweetness doesn’t overpower the meal. It’s also more liquid than some of the other teriyaki sauces I’ve tried. Just be careful when asking for more sauce. They do scoop a lot and if it sits in my meal for long, it’ll make the veggies and noodles softer. If you eat fast enough, then it wouldn’t be too much trouble. I’ll keep coming back for more.

(: Boba-Foodaholic Says :) My order: Chicken Teriyaki($ 5.59 + Tax) When I visited the Valley Fair Mall, my boyfriend and I wanted to eat some food court food. While we were deciding what to get, this sample guy just got his new chickens from the grill and gave us the samples. Since my boyfriend likes rice, he got this chicken teriyaki plate. The cashier is really mean because she has this straight and«I don’t want to work» face. What do you expect from the food court place with cheap price. The food was cook right in front of you freshly. But you have to wait in the line in order to get your food. Who knows someone might take it, because they don’t give you receipt, number, or anything that says«I order this food.»

Pretty much the same as it is in any Westfield mall. Same as the one back in nj so I like to go here every once in awhile for the chicken teriyaki. I rarely see others get something else but don’t be afraid to ask for extra sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary but is a solid choice in the food court.

I came here for the first time and I thought it was pretty good. The menu is pretty straightforward which makes things very simple and the service was pretty fast. There were 3 or 4 people in front of me before I ordered but was able to pick up my food in about 5 – 7 minutes which is not bad. I ordered the(double) teriyaki chicken with mixed veggies and fried rice. For about $ 8.00, you get lots of food that tastes delicious. For a food court restaurant, I was impressed with the quality of the food. The chicken had flavor and wasn’t rubbery which is always a plus for me. The fried rice and veggies were decent and tasted great as well. There is also a Sriracha sauce where you pick up your food if you really need it. If you are really unsure about this place, there’s someone giving out free samples of their food(at least when I went) and they cook right in front of you so you can smell it right away. I say you should give this place a shot. They have quality food with fast service at an affordable price. I’ll definitely be making another visit sometime in the future!

Surprisingly good for mall food. Their special, which I think is always the chicken teriyaki, comes with chicken, vegetables, and rice in a takeout box for just $ 5.69. You can get extra chicken for $ 1.49 and replace the rice with udon noodles for $ 0.50 more. Pretty good prices for the amount of food you get. The chicken is pretty juice and vegetables taste okay. The noodles can be hit or miss, sometimes they taste too salty and other times they taste fine. You can also ask the chef to put more teriyaki sauce on your food if you want more flavor, but I think the food tastes just fine with a little bit of sriracha, which they also have available for you.

This review is for the sushi bar. When I feel like eating a quick meal of sushi, I always come here when I’m at Valleyfair. The menu is pretty straightforward, doesn’t have too much items, but still alluring. I always get the Philadelphia roll and spicy tuna! The taste is fresh and the fish just melts in your mouth. If you get an order of seaweed salad, the amount they give you is great! It’s not the best tasting seaweed salad, but come on, you’re at a mall food court. Your sushi also comes out fairly quick. I also like how there’s always a guy standing handing out California rolls. I’ll take more please! :P

Value for money! Where else can you get a loaded box of rice, veggies, and meat for less than 6 bucks. Steal!!! They stack it too! Try their samples when you’re at Valley Fair. For some reason, the samples taste better, maybe cause I have so much of it when I order the real thing. They also hand out $ 1 off coupons at the sample station person. Make sure to get that if you plan to get a drink. Comes out to be a free drink.

One day I was cruising the food court scouting for a quick bite to eat, as more shopping was awaiting. I was interrupted by a guy with bite sized chicken on toothpicks, shouting«first bite free… tell all yo friend!» Intrigued by his sales approach, I tried and was immediately addicted to the sweet teriyaki flavor and juicy chicken. I would have never thought that seven years later, this is the only place I will have teriyaki chicken from. Is this as good as it gets? Don’t care, I love it from here and have no desire to seek other places. The chicken is consistently tender with the same familiar flavor I fell in love three years ago. Nothing has changed since, except for the updated restaurant front with the new food terrace. I think the same kids still work there as seven years ago, trained to get your order quickly and accurately. You order starting on the left and move to the right, like an assembly line with a deliberate tick. Everyone seems to have a specific task and it seems to work effectively, which is awesome as the line is always long. They utilize an internal code with their colored toothpicks, somehow they keep it straight and have never failed me. I always get the same thing, chicken, double meat, fried rice and steamed vegetables. I’ve attempted to stray with beef and sushi and wish I didn’t, as the chicken is the only dish that keeps me coming back for more. Do I think you should eat here, only if you are having the teriyaki chicken.

No one was at the front. I go to the San Jose one regularly, but never was the front desk empty. It’s the same City Sports. Roomy and plenty of equipments. They have 3 racquet ball courts, 1 basketball court and even saw a swimming pool.
