History

Established in 2002.

Ritsuo Tsuchida is one of the Founders and Managing Members of Blowfish Sushi to Die For. Ritsuo received his Chef’s license from the Office of the Mayor in Tokyo, Japan in 1992. In 1990, he caught the eye of Master Chef Konokai, one of the members of the «Sushi Chef Association of Tokyo», a prestigious group whose members are the elite sushi chefs of Japan. Master Konokai, chooses two apprentices per year from the entire country, and therefore, chooses only the best young chef candidates. It is a true honor and privilege to train under this master. Ritsuo trained and worked with master Konakai for three years and developed a reputation as a celebrated chef/​prodigy in Japan​.Mr. Tsuchida, along with Mr. Jason Teplitsky opened Blowfish Sushi to Die For San Jose in the highly publicized, billion-​dollar, Santana Row Development.
