Custom Paint Finish

After complete restoration of my 63 Nova convertible, an upholstery shop drilled a ¼″ hole through the body of my freshly painted car (while attempting to install a new convertible top).
I found this shop on Unilocal as I saw he has worked on classic cars before. I’m experienced and know what the proper process is for this type of repair. Stuart and crew executed the job with perfection. Stuart also cleared the car for consistency throughout all sides of the car.
Great quality of work. Very professional.
Stuart also repaired my friends Toyota Tundra that was rear-​ended. Again, executed perfectly!

I took my 06 BMW 330i to them to fix a botched touchup job (never … I repeat never try to fix your own paint scratches!)
Not only was their paint job impeccable, and the prices very reasonable, but Stuart also replaced a burnt out tail lamp bulb just because he noticed it. He probably saved me getting pulled over by the cops!
That shows what kind of great people they are at CPF.

I have been going to see Stuart at Custom Paint Finish for over 20 years now. He done all my insurance work and even some smaller issues I wanted to pay out of pocket. He is always willing to give you his undivided attention when you stop by without an appointment and the work he had done with his group had always been first class. I went in last week for a small job and he remembered all the work he done for me even 20 years ago plus he remembered the my office mate who first refered me to him. What a memory!

I dropped in to the shop without an appointment after reading a few positive reviews on Unilocal and I showed Stuart some recent scratches and scuffs on my car’s paint. He told me to pull it into his shop bay since he had a few minutes and then proceeded to spend an hour plus to fix the issues. It looks great and I am very satisfied with his work and really appreciative that he took me in immediately. I would recommend this business to anyone!

I was recommended to this fine business 18 years ago by my very good friend Brad. I had a car with a chameleon paint job, and it was nearly impossible to match. He solved it, and gave me outstanding service. With each car Ive had, he went above and behind the call, and with each, I required far beyond what the average paint shop COULD do. I had a 1998 Firebird with an oddly painted factory hood that didn’t match the rest of the car. He saw the issue, and was able to custom mix the paint to solve that, as well as put the car back to perfect shape after my ex crashed it. I then had him work on my 1967 Pontiac GTO, which had a VERY difficult to match metallic maroon paint that he was able to match perfectly. I had that car for 17 years, and he did the work on it each time I wanted something done. Lastly, I had him fix a major crash for my daughter who totaled her 2002 Buick LeSabre Custom. Despite the car being horribly mangled, he was able to make it look better than the day we bought it for her, and to say she was thrilled is a major understatement. Stuart and Rosemary have been truly wonderful to my family for almost 20 years, and there has never been a time where I felt like he was anything less than 100% honest with me, or fair on his prices. Thanks for the great work, from a VERY satisfied customer.

Excellent value, honest people and wonderful work. Nowhere better. They have worked on all my cars each time I get dinged and always go above and beyond, and are very upfront about charges, always strive to get you best for lowest. I never go anywhere else.

Custom Paint Finish is awesome. They replaced headlight assemblies for my Lexus RX330 2004. Their work was professional and very helpful. The price is very reasonable and they are not the gouging type. The integrity is very high.

I’ve just recommend CPF to my neighbor and realized I should update my review. More praise for Stuart and Rosemary and CPF. My previous review mentioend several cars, several visits, outstanding service – all still true. I wanted to expand on something I read in another review. TWICE I knocked the side mirror off of my Volvo C30 (stupid, I know). This component on this car is comprised of cables, lights the mirror – lots of little bits and pieces. Stuart went the extra mile – TWICE – to determine what, if any pieces could be salvaged and spent extra time on the parts database ordering just what we needed to complete the repair. The volvo dealership told me they would only replace the entire unit ($ 3000.00). I am sure this approach saved me money – both times the mirror was replaced/​repaired the costs was a fraction of replacing the entire unit. I continue to recommend these guys without hesitation!!!

We’ve had work done here a few times over the years. Stuart really pays attention to detail. The results have always been fantastic. Are current car got in a fender bender recently. The paint color and texture are really hard to match. Looking at it now I cant tell the difference as they matched the paint perfectly. Also they worked with us on the insurance claim and kept all parties happy. They are that rare gem of a business that you can really trust.

This place is great. My neighbor in my complex scratched and dented my 2007 Mazdaspeed3 while parking next to it. After shopping around, we decided on Custom Paint Finish. Stuart gave me a very reasonable estimate and the final price came out to less than the estimate (when does that ever happen?), he also detailed my car for free. The job was great, can’t even tell that it was damaged. I hope to not require any more auto body work, but if I ever do, I will be bringing it to Stuart at Custom Paint Finish, and so should you.

I have taken my car there 2 times for damage and they are incredible. Looks better than before my car was hit, excellent customer service. I have sent friends there and they have been real pleased with the service. Great value and very trustworthy, he will not rip you off and do what he can to meet your needs.

My boyfriend is incredibly picky and said these guys did factory-​perfect work on his Audi S4, as well as were the most honest and down to earth, reasonable people.
The turnaround time was great too got it back the day after dropping it off.
He has had not so good experiences at other places and because he was so happy with this place it is now the only place we’ll take our cars for paint and body work!

This is an overdue review, but I thoroughly recommend this place and am thoroughly impressed with their services and at such a reasonable price. I had the unfortunate aftermath to deal with of rear-​ending someone this past December. I heard about this place by word of mouth (and now you have my word, too). Custom Paint Finish is one of those places where they are looking out for your interests and someone you can trust. Let me tell you why:
1. They serve you. Rosemary took the time and effort to educate me more thoroughly on the insurance process and how to make out best for my situation. Which meant more money in my pocket by taking their advice.
2. Reasonably priced. Their price was less than the insurance-​recommended place and so I saved money with no sacrifice to quality work.
3. Attention to detail and quality work. Stuart and his workers are perfectionists in the best sense — they really treated my car well — I mean it came out looking like a totally brand new car (and my car is over 10 years old!) They also made a dent that I sustained when someone backed into my car over a year ago practically disappear — it had nothing to do with my accident but they took care of it!
4. They stand behind their work. It was also unfortunate that during the process of painting my car and in the cold temperatures in December, my windshield developed a crack. I knew I didn’t have a cracked windshield before I took my car in. So Stuart took care of the windshield free of charge! Also I had a weird squeaking noise after my car came back and Stuart took the time to try and figure out what was causing that issue. (turns out it was rust built up from too many New England winters), but if it had been related to the autobody work and my accident, Stuart would have taken care of that, too!
5. This place will blow away your expectations of what a car repair shop does. I would definitely take my car back here. This shop is the real deal!

I would never consider going anywhere else to get my car repaired. Unfortunately, I’ve had to take two cars in after accidents, but both times, what I got back were cars that looked brand new! Truly, you couldn’t ask for any better quality. Most shops come across with a rather cocky attitude. Other reviewers have described Custom Paint & Finish as «Mom and Pop», which might sound old fashioned and negative. I’d say a better description is HUMBLE. Stuart and Rosemary are two of the most HONEST people I’ve ever known, and they are COMMITTED TO PROVIDING THE HIGHEST QUALITY WORK FOR THE MOST REASONABLE PRICE.
I found out that while your insurance company may say you must bring your car in for an estimate, or require you use their approved repair shops, that’s against the law. You are free to go wherever you want. Custom Paint Finish makes it so easy for you. I simply brought my car in to them, and my insurance company sent someone out to do the estimate there. There was even a rental car company two blocks away, and they came and delivered a car to me. Then Stuart and Rosemary assured me I could simply relax, and they would work out the details with the insurance company, and get my car fixed as quickly as possible. Amazingly enough, THEY DID!

I went to five different places for quotes and I ended up getting it done here at Custom Paint Finish. I paid for the repair out of my own pocket so I’m looking for a good deal for sure but I didn’t get the cheapest quote from them (among quote prices varies from $ 200-​$ 350, their quote was ~$ 280). Still, the decision was made very easily. The GREAT SERVICE, HONESTY and PROFESSIONALISM definitely deserve FIVE STARS.
The owner, Stuart, examined my car carefully, checked the availability of the parts and explained to me what needed to be done before he gave the quote. He was very friendly and not being pushy at all.
After going to four other places for quotes, I decided to have Stuart doing it with no doubt. Other auto shops didn’t seem to be as professional. One only spent only seconds looking at the car and told me to replace parts that weren’t necessary. One didn’t even know that the part doesn’t come painted and didn’t know the parts can be sold separately. One wasted my time getting irrelevant info e.g. address, mileage… (ARE YOU KIDDING ME???)
I’m happy that I went to Custom Paint Finish! He really did a GREAT job with reasonable price. After I gave him a call to make an appointment, he ordered the part immediately and got it painted and ready before I brought the car in. He received the part the afternoon on the SAME day I called to make the appointment, and emailed me right away to keep me posted on the status. I’m so surprised and IMPRESSED with his efficiency! I only left the car with him for a morning and it’s done perfectly. On the final bill, it was a bit cheaper than the quote because there were things done in shorter time than he expected. I can’t be happier.

I am blown away by the honesty. I had what i thought were costly scrapes on my VW Bug, and was expected to be crucified to get it fixed. By Beverley took a look at it and sent me home with the knowledge on how clean off the scraps myself. I was shocked and grateful for her honesty in a situation where I was 100% sure I was going to be swindled.
I am going to make sure when I do need body work that i go here, and I intend to send anyone who i ever know that may need work done to do it here.

If you are under 30, then you are probably going to judge this place by its website. Don’t do that or you’ll miss a gem. Just go here. This is actually an AMAZING body shop! I am a customer for life. I was so impressed by our initial contact that I brought in my girlfriend’s car for an estimate while my car was in the shop here.
This place is family owned so you are going to get personalized attention. Stuart, the owner, is very thorough. He found problems that I didn’t even know existed and that the insurance appraiser completely missed. The car looked absolutely flawless when I got it back. I thought I wanted a new car, turns out I could make my old one look brand new just by bringing it here. Throughout the process they communicated with the insurance company, my rental company and emailed me with updates. No headaches, no worries.
Did I mention honest and modest? While other body shops quoted prices way above, this place charged an honest price, lower than the competition and got the job done quick.
Stuart and Rosemary know their business. I’ve been to many dealerships and body shops, but nowhere have I gotten service this great. Like I said, I’m never going anywhere else but here.

This is a small family business.
The owners are very nice and honest. You may trust these people. They will not overcharge you and will do their best to fix all problems covered under your deductible.
They called and emailed me when the part was delivered. And Stuart fixed my rear bumper within 1 day (it saved me $$ on car rental!) He eliminated all scratches I had for years. Color match was perfect.

GREAT body shop! Stuart and Rosemary are extremely professional and are a stickler for details. They did an amazing job on my BMW and I couldn’t be happier. Several people have asked me where I went to get my car repaired because they were looking for a shop and I feel that that’s a testament to the great work that they did.
From the estimate to when I picked up my car, I was really impressed throughout. Stuart and Rosemary actually worked with me after work hours to get my car initially estimated. I didn’t have time to bring my car in during the workday, so he arranged some time at night (after his business hours) to look at my car. That showed me that they cared and gave me comfort in letting them take my car. Stuart kept me in the loop with emails on the insurance claim and parts ordering along the way. Even during the repairs, Stuart noticed certain things that were wrong with my car and let me know about it to see if I wanted him to fix it. As I said, they are very meticulous and I appreciate that about them.
I had some front end and convertible top damage and it was quoted to be repaired in about 2 – 3 weeks, not only by Customer Paint Finish but other shops as well. My car came back to me in only 10 days, way before the quoted time. Very impressive is that Stuart posts pictures of my car’s progress throughout the repair process. There are detailed pictures of the work being done and it is updated daily, so I can be up-​to-​date with the progress of my repair. After this experience, I feel that all shops should do this. It’s so practical.
When I got my car back, everything that was fixed was explained in detail. All fixes were itemized on my receipt and I was fully informed. My car ended up looking brand new — looked like it was never in an accident. The paint job was amazing. All of the parts used were the original equipment. It was detailed with every crevice looked clean. I was EXTREMELY happy.
I would definitely go to Custom Paint Finish again for my future work on my car (hopefully not because of an accident). And I would recommend them to my family and friends, as I already have. I’m sure they will not be disappointed.
