Akins Collision Centers

Unfortunately, I’m not new to being in a collision. This is my third time going to Akins to repair my car after an accident. I’m really not a bad driver! I cannot say enough about the service that these guys provide! Every time I return, I’m reminded that Akins is a top notch establishment. Accidents are never an easy thing to deal with, but Akins gets through the process quickly and efficiently. We ran into a couple complications, and these were also resolved readily. Upon receipt of my car, it had been completely detailed! It honestly hasn’t looked that good since I drove it off the car lot! I will continue to recommend Akins and if I get in any more accidents, I’ll most definitely return here for my repairs. A++

Getting hit sucks, but Akins made the process a lot easier.
I had never been hit before, so the process was all new to me. They were patient when getting the damaged appraised. It only took a couple of days to get my car fixed. When the car was returned, it was cleaned on the inside and out. Inside, the dash was dusted and on the outside, the car was washed. They did an excellent job with the rims because they were shiny. The new bumper looked great too.
Overall, Akins did a great job. I would definitely recommend their services.

I took my car with Eddie and he was really awesome, he took the time to explain with lots of details about everything he needed to do to the car and always very kind, when my car was done I could see the great job they did!!! Really great customer service.

My ’97 Z-​3 passenger window operation has been erratic for some months. I authorized Eddie Jimenez at Akins Collision Center in Santa Clara to do whatever it took to correct the problem including, if needed, replacement of regulator, motor, and/​or other parts. Today I was informed that Akins technicians found all the existing parts and equipment were serviceable. The window operates perfectly now. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

Top of the notch! The employees here are excellent. I was sold when I was asked if they could put a «band aid» on my bumper, making my car derivable. I had hit something pretty hefty on the freeway while out of town, and my bumper cracked. Needless to say, my bumper could have been dragging on the road any second without that band aid. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday morning around 7:30 AM and was driven to work free of charge. (Which I thought was awesome). Called to check in on Friday — they found hidden damages and had to order extra parts and gave me an estimate of Thursday. Called yesterday and my car was ready for pick up! It looks brand new — No one could tell that it had been an accident of any kind. They even washed and vacuumed my car. Highly, highly recommend this auto repair shop.

OMG! This place rocks! Every employee I talked with was friendly, courteous, and professional either on the phone or in person. Customer satisfaction is there top priority. It’s been over a year and the same professional attitude is still strong in Santa Clara.
Unfortunately it’s my 2^nd time for the same car in just over a year. In 2014 I was rear ended with considerable damage to the bumper and tail pipes of my slightly used 2012 KIA Optima. I’m a picky person and this car was in excellent shape when I bought it. I noticed a minor error with my exhaust when I first went to pick it up. Without argument or treating me like I was crazy they kept my car and fixed it perfectly.
This time around I rear ended somebody. Damage to the front of my car was minimal but damaged none the less. I decided to go back to Akins again and I’m SOOOO happy I did. They were hella busy at the time with other cars due to the heavy rain lately. It was going to take a little under a month for me to get an appointment. Luckily I was able to drive my car till then and these guys are worth the wait. I was called in a week earlier than anticipated. From the day I dropped off my car it was finished within a week. They even gave it a bath and made it all purrty for when I picked it up. WOW!
This place deserves a professional title to go with their 110% professional performance. With a welcoming atmosphere and top notch customer service you can’t label this place an ordinary body shop… it is rightfully called a «Collision Center» for a reason.
If you need your car fixed the right way and want to be treated like a customer rather than a policy # then this is the place to go. They even offer assistance with rental car pick up and drop off. I hope I don’t need to go back anytime soon for a 3^rd visit but accidents do happen and I will trust Akins to do the job right from start to finish.

We took our car into Akins Collision of Almaden Valley location to get a repair estimate for AAA, after being rearended by a GMC pickup. We found the staff to be curteis and understanding. They took measurements, photos and put together an estament for us.
When we returned to pick up the car Mark did a great job of making sure everything was up to our satisfaction before we drove away.

This was the best customer service I have ever received at a body shop. My truck looked almost brand new after Akins took care of it. I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else! The front office people were also nice and eager to help with anything!

Always top notch work, the office staff are always friendly and professional. I’ve been using Akins auto for over 20+years. Never a bad issue!

My 07 Honda Accord was damaged on the front bumper and right side fender. We brought it over to Akins and they did an awesome job with the repair. I worked with Mark who was very helpful with the process in getting all the details worked out with the appraiser and the insurance company that was liable in a timely manner. We were very pleased with the professional work and quality of the service. I highly recommend their service. They also went above and beyond in getting the car back to us cleaned and detailed, which i totally did not expect. Thanks Akins!

From my very recent experience (Sep 2015) where my car was hit in the office parking lot, I strongly recommend Akins.
Very friendly staff, great overall experience with the estimate, repairs, status updates and time for repair.

They just fixed my 3-​month old mazda 3. They did an excellent job, did it quickly, and returned the car when they said they would. Very nice office personnel. They also detailed the car very nicely before they returned it. I’d DEFINITELY use them again (they were recommended by my insurance agent)

Overall my experience was great here. Estimations, repair quality, customer experience, communication, everything was good.
Mark Jensen is a fantastic guy, trustworthy and honest. He went extra mile and helped in giving my car a jump start and sent people to take it to body shop. This was a big help.
After repair, my car looked better then before.

I have been to this body shop twice. The first time the service was amazing and definitely deserved 5 stars. However I recently came here for the second time and, if I could give them zero stars, I would because the service was the absolute worst. No communication with the client or follow through. Weeks would go by and I would hear nothing back, I always had to call to find out what was going on.
Let’s start at the beginning…
I came in with my husband to get an estimate for our vehicle. We wait a few minutes and out comes Alan quintanilla. He was kind of rude and seemed to lack the experience needed when interacting with a customer. The estimate process was quick and he asked pertinent questions and took photos. Alan said he would email us the estimate and that we would take it from there. At 9pm that evening we receive the estimate for the repairs. He told me to fax it to my insurance company. First of all that’s his responsibility and Secondly I wanted the insurance to get the estimate directly from the shop. I email him back with my insurance contact number and claim number. A week goes by and I hear nothing back, wanting to know where we were in the process. We were anxious to have our vehicle repaired. I call the office and let the receptionist know who was handling the case. She said he works at the Cupertino office and if I had been to that location. I have only been to the Santa Clara office and why would I get someone from another office to work on my case?! She contacts Alan and he emails me the shortest message, stating that he sent the estimate to my insurance. No apology for the delay or lack of communication!
Another 2 weeks go by and I still haven’t heard anything about where we were with the case. Did the insurance review and approve the estimate, when can I drop it off… like what is going on?! I once again call the office and this time I speak with Mike Jensen. I let him know how frustrated and upset I was the the process and professionalism. He said he was shocked because Alan is a top dog in the company… umm, nothing about Alan was top dog quality. Apparently they lowered their standards in the few years in between from my 2 visits. Mike then promised to expedite the process for me and so casually mentions my car may be a total loss. Well, that was news to me! Thanks for giving me the heads up! We set up a date to drop off the car and assess the damage and maybe repair the vehicle.
My husband and I drop off the car and the receptionist was scrambling for my paperwork! Ugh, another unprofessional scenario. Finally, we were like we gotta go to work and a poor lady was waiting for her turn. The girl must’ve looked everywhere and no paperwork. I give her the key and sign some paperwork and off we go. I didn’t hear from the shop at all. A couple of days later I get a letter from my insurance offering me the value of my vehicle. Again, thanks Akins for letting me know that FOR SURE my car was a total loss. I could repair and take the loss or take the money and get a new car.
My car was in the shop for a week and not even a peep from the shop. We went in unannounced to pick up the car. The service is terrible. We waited 5 – 10 minutes before one of the girls noticed we were standing there waiting for service. I speak with Chanel and let her know that I was never coming back, I don’t want to talk to anyone, and that I just want the keys and my car back. Then guess what? They could not find my keys!!! Aaaaahhhhhh! After 20 minutes I got my car and not surprisingly the car was untouched! Except for the markings they put on the windshield and windows. We had some rope holding hood shut and that was untouched. Truly unbelievable. To this day I still haven’t heard from them nor do I care to. Please don’t go to this shop, it may have been good back in the day, but now it’s total crap. Unprofessional and ghetto.

Honest and dependable. They did a great job on my BMW. I brought it in after a collision. After they fixed it and repainted, I noticed a small scratch and was pretty sure it wasn’t there before. They offered to repaint the whole panel at no charge! Can’t see myself going anywhere else.

They did a fantastic job on my Buick Enclave. The staff was very nice and patient to explain procedures to me. I definitely will recommend this place to my friends.

I went to Akins last year when I was rear ended. They made the process very easy. I dropped off my car and Hertz picked me up. The team was speedy and made sure they did a great job. I received a call 2 days later saying my car was ready. I was on my way when I received another call saying they noticed a flaw and will be keeping my car another day to repair it. I appreciated this very much! That shows they are hard working and want to make sure they return the vehicles in the best shape possible. Sadly, someone hit my car and drove off last time so I will be returning to get my car worked on again.

I trust this auto shop.
That’s really all you need and want from an auto shop.
Their work, customer service, time management and follow up was on time and exactly as they said how it would be.
I had to take my old 2006 Civic here after an accident and my new 2014 Fiat 500 after someone keyed my car. (By the way hope the person who keyed my car realizes that karma is a b**ch) Both times they did a fantastic job!
For my Fiat, one of the employee, Alan actually e-​mailed me with pictures of my car getting it’s paint work done, and that meant a lot to me.
Of course, the car looks amazing!
As much as i hate to go back there… because that would mean another incident… but if I have to, Akin’s would be my first choice.

I had 3 very small scratches on my rear bumper from getting hit at a red light. I was unsure if I wanted to get it fixed because I thought that my car’s color combined with age would be too hard to duplicate (bmw — sparkling graphite metallic). Doug at Akins put my worries to rest and told me it would look great. I had my car in the shop within a couple days of making my claim. They kept my car for 3 days (my first accident, not sure what the average time is for other shops) but kept me updated every day of the progress. When I picked it up, it looked better than great. The color and coating matched 100%. I was extremely happy with their customer service and most of all body work. They also detail your vehicle and have it looking ready for a show floor.
It is no wonder my insurance company sends folks here. Highly recommended!
