I talked with several landscape companies about replacing the lawn in my back yard. Tigran was clearly the most responsible and trustworthy person of all those I interviewed. He also provided one of the lower bids. In all aspects of the job, he met all timelines, communicated frequently and followed up quickly with his commitments. His crew of four men were professional and competent. They put in a French drain, new irrigation system, new top soil and sod. I am very satisfied with Applewood Landscape and give them the highest recommendation.

We have a pretty big backyard but never used it much since it was a mess (part concrete, part planting area, part loose soil). We wanted to have a small barbecue area and remaining lawn area.
We decided to work with Tigran after talking to several contractors found on Unilocal,Nextdoor and through friend’s recommendations. The first thing we noticed about him was he was quick to respond and quick to give us a close to final quote for the work. His quote included detailed work and timing within the first visit. Other contractors showed interest but were very slow to getting us any details about the work let alone an estimate. Mind you this was about 3500 sq feet worth of work so by no means a small project.
His team started and ended the project on time and on the same budget as previously agreed. Over the years we have done work with different contractors and can’t say this ever happened! The crew were on time to work everyday and work diligently through the day. They also made sure the kept the area clean before they left!
We LOVE our backyard now. Thanks Tigran.

I guess you have to be willing to spend a lot of $$$$ or be rich they told us they are too busy they won’t even look or consider our work if it isn’t $ 10K. So disappointed. If that is the case you would think they would partner with another company that could handle smaller jobs or another division so that they can still benefit. …
Wish I had something nice to post, but I think they should have had this written on this site so I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Everyone’s comment made it sound like they were the ideal company to work with but back to searching for a company willing to work with a «so called» small job. Unfortunately Unilocal will not let me give them a «0» score

I hired Tigran and his team to rehabilitate my front and back yards which had gotten significantly overgrown. We also replaced a failing fence and installed sprinklers front and back and rebuilt the raised beds for the vegetables.
The price for the job was quite fair. Despite the rain, Tigran and his team were able to do the work in four days including all demolition, planting, the installations and covering front and back with weed cloth and mulch. We also had them bring in soil to raise the level of the back yard a few inches. Tigran was very helpful in working with me on plant selection, and his team was prompt, polite, professional and worked hard to keep the areas clean at the end of each work day.
They did a great job quickly and within budget, and I’m quite happy with the results; I’m about to ask them to quote me on a second small followup job to extend the sprinklers. I recommend them as a good value team doing quality work without hesitation.

I highly recommend Tigran and his team at Applewood Landscaping. From the first meeting to project completion, they provided top notch service, and I couldn’t be happier with how the project turned out. I have a small front yard that was overgrown with invasive succulents and other weeds. In a 2 ½ day job, Applewood Landscaping removed much of the old «jungle» but kept enough to leave some natural character. They built a large brick planter, added some wine barrels, mulch, and rock, and installed irrigation drips to about 20 new plants and trees. The end result exceeded my expectations, and the communication throughout was great. Will use these guys again.

I was looking for someone to install a 10×12 patio area with pavers, a stone border for the perimeter of my backyard and remove some dirt, weeds and unwanted plants. Tigran from Applewood Landscaping responded promptly to my request for an estimate. He came out, listened to what I wanted, made a few suggestions and submitted a quote that same day. His proposal was professional, well done and the price was reasonable. He has a positive attitude and promptly answered all my questions and concerns. The work was completed in the estimated time frame. Tigran and his crew did a great job and my yard looks awesome now! I would highly recommend Applewood Landscaping!

Tigran came by my house the day after I called him to go over the scope of our project. The day after that he emailed me a specific, detailed, estimate which I appreciated. He and his crew installed a berm in our front yard, a flagstone walkway and patio, and planted all new low water plants with drip irrigation. They completed our drought conversion project quickly and we love our new front yard.

We are in the process of moving with my family to Los Gatos from Sac. My wife hired them to renovate our new home. They are punctual. They installed 93 new plants in the front and backyard.
Great experience. Best part was how easy it was to communicate with them. When we changed our mind about some plants they were just a call away. The project cost 12k and was finished in 3 days.
Another contractor we had bid on the job was for 11k but his specs were vague.

Did a great job building an Organic garden for me. Filled it with Compost and planted corn, tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon, carrots. Had an incredible harvest.
