History

Established in 1988.

I was a State Farm Agent in Goleta for 20 years, then spent 5 ½ years in a State Farm management position. Now I am thrilled to be back in Agency in Santa Barbara as of Jan. 1, 2014. My team consists of Ralph Velasquez, Mayra Romero, Rose Ament, Ashley Jasper and Nicole Dobrotin. We pride ourselves in being a resource and offering assistance to our clients. Ralph and Mayra are fully licensed and bilingual.

I am proud to have grown up in Santa Barbara and to have my business here. My two beautiful daughters, Alyssa and Nicole, were raised here. Growing up as a child of a State Farm Agent, Ed Attlesey, I truly believe in this great company. I am a San Marcos High graduate. My entire career after graduating from San Diego State has been with State Farm. From claims, to agency, to management, and now I am back in agency. I firmly believe in giving back to this great community. I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in a number of local organizations, from co-​founding the Goleta Lemon Festival, to serving as the President of the Goleta Chamber, being a Board member for the Page Youth Center, starting the Goleta Teen of the Year Contest, to active involvement in National Charity League with my daughters and many activities at Mountain View Elementary school. So, it’s fantastic to be back and I look forward to many more years of continued involvement in this wonderful community.

I never thought I would be purchasing a car fresh out of college at the age of 22. I had been driving my 25 year old 4Runner when multiple mechanical issues resulted in the truck becoming undrivable and me in need of a new vehicle immediately. I checked out a few dealerships and wasn’t feeling comfortable with the financing options being presented to me and wanted to check out a few options. I figured I would stop by State Farm to see what auto loans they offered as they had covered my old 4Runner and treated me extremely well during that time period.
I met an agent at Tammy’s office named Ralph. To say Ralph was «very helpful» is an extreme understatement. He went above and beyond to make me comfortable and confident with the car buying process. He gave me extremely helpful tips on purchasing a car and broke down each aspect of an auto loan and what it would mean for my future. After agreeing on a great rate for my loan, I set out on my journey to purchase a new vehicle!
After finding the right car, I met up with Ralph again to talk about getting full coverage for my new vehicle. Once again, Ralph walked me through the car insurance world in a very understandable fashion and helped me choose the right plan for me and my car.
If I could rate this office above 5 stars I would. Buying a car went from an extremely daunting task to a painless one. Thank you so much to Ralph and the team at State Farm Santa Barbara!

When my long time insurance agent retired, I thought it would be impossible to replace him. We were practically family after 20+ years and a number of insured events. When Tammy Dobrotin came (back) to town, my worries about receiving the same level of customer service and guidance on insurance issues was quickly dispelled. Tammy’s agency team members, Mayra & Ralph, couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful.
