Love this place. It’s right on the beach in SB.
We feel privileged to have enjoyed this place. We truly appreciate the reciprocal policy of our yacht club membership.
Since we visit SB quite a bit, we try to come here when possible.
They are very welcoming, professional and friendly.
Food, drinks, and service are really good.

Private yacht club right in the harbor. Great place if you know or are a member. Fantastic food and drinks at very reasonable prices. They get you on the dues.

Best location in SB! Love the staff and the drinks are strong. If you are every invited you should definitely take advantage!

Food is okay. Views are fantastic. We saw dolphins while having lunch!

We came here last week for the MOWW event and had good clean fun. The bar didn’t have very good selection or working taps but the prime rib was pretty food. The late 70s nautical décor and super sweet club members really made the night charming.

Yea! The restaurant has updated its kitchen with a new chef and a new, more palatable menu! I“m so grateful! Eat while gazing at beautiful vistas in every direction, mountains, ocean, beach, harbor…

The best view in all Santa Barbara with extremely friendly wait staff, great drinks and food. We arrived a few minutes before the sun set and watched the sun go down from our window seats. It was majestic. We had a few drinks while we decided where to eat dinner. Fortunately we decided to stay and eat there. My wife and I shared an excellent fish and chips and were so very satisfied splitting that meal. What a wonderful end to a long drive down the coast.

Let me just say that I am a BIG fan of reciprocal membership policies! Gyms, Zoos and yes even Yacht clubs often have them. Sometimes when I visit Santa Barbara (hee hee hee) I use my Lahaina Yacht Club membership to gain admission. Went there a couple of weeks ago with some friends from out of town, they are members of two yacht clubs! You know how many people enjoy this mutually symbiotic relationship by the number of burgees hanging from the ceiling (If you don’t know what a Burgee is, you don’t belong) I often wonder about starting my own Yacht club just so that I can sell $ 75 annual memberships so that everyone can enjoy the perks of a yacht club membership.
Santa Barbara Yacht club is beautiful! It sits right on the sand and has a spectacular view. The food isn’t the best you have ever eaten but it is also not expensive, all in all a very good deal.
Of course the amazing view and great location does have its drawbacks… the place kind of has a tendency to wash away every few decades.
Wet Wednesdays are a ton of fun (and pretty darn easy to sneak into even if you don’t belong to Doug’s Yacht Club) If anyone asks though just tell them you are guests of the Underhills.

LOVE the view of the ocean and wharf at this restaurant! I used to go here all the time for work lunches with my boss and the owner of AGF. The Yacht Club has an excellent Clam Chowder and I love the Chopped Cobb Salad! I think I got that every time we went. My colleague got the Cioppino once, and she said it wasn’t all that great.

Very nice club with a stunning view.
I realize that some may disagree on this point, but those platforms at night are pretty beautiful sight. They bring out the water even on a dark night.
The management and commodores here are fantastic as well!

Conveniently located at the pier… somewhat foo-​foo. Great and easy public transportation close by…

The shrimp cobb salad was delicious. The view is fantastic. The crowd is mostly retired at lunch, which is what you’d expect. Beware the drinks! There’s a bartendress whose mission is to make everyone pass out in the sand on the way to the car. Stop at one drink — be warned!

Extremely poor service and business practices!
I have had a wedding brunch reserved at the yacht club for the day after my wedding for roughly 3 months now. They had my deposit and confirmed my reservation over the phone. I received a call last week saying that my reservation had been bumped and they would no longer be able to do my post wedding brunch for my 85 guests. When I asked why I had been bumped the gentleman on the phone blatantly told me there was a party of 300 that wanted to reserve the entire yacht club that day and they could simply make more money off of them. I was and still am extremely upset. Does my deposit mean nothing? Then to blatantly tell me my group is no longer welcome because they can make more money elsewhere is unbelievable. Worst business practices I’ve ever experienced.

Since it’s the only yacht club at the harbor, it’s hard to miss it.
Overall, it’s a nice club conviniently located at the marina. I’ve come by three-​four times — by land to a couple of regattas hosted by this club and another time via boat on a coastal delivery from San Diego to San Francisco (we stopped here for fuel and food). Friendly club staff and easy-​going casual atmosphere, food is decent and have no complaints. Just what you’d expect from a sunny California laid-​back community like Santa Barbara.
