At Sandbar, our menu features the freshest seafood, finest cuts of meat and market fresh produce. Our extensive cocktail menu features handmade margaritas and specialty cocktails designed by world famous mixologist Manny Hinojosa. We freshly prepare all of our ingredients daily.
During the day we are a full service restaurant and by night we transform into a thriving late night destination featuring dancing, live music, and dj’s seven nights a week. Sandbar has been named to the «Top 100» by Nightclub & Bar Magazine for the last 4 consecutive years. We are known for our fun-filled and wild bachelorette parties as well as our music and dancing.

History
Established in 2006.
Originally 514 State Street was a car dealership and later became a series of successful bars/restaurants. Prior to our purchase of Sandbar, James and John Maxwell bought calypso and changed the name to Sandbar. We purchased it in August of 2006. In August of 2007 we put in a full Mexican menu with recipes from one of the owners first restaurants, Red Onion. We’ve been very blessed with the success we’ve had since that time. We recently revised our menu to include items like fresh ceviche, home made tortillas and market fresh margaritas.

I started in the restaurant business as a senior in College. Now I’m going on 20 years in the restaurant business. We have been very blessed with a wonderful local following and tremendous tourism business practically since we opened. We are currently working on revising our drink menu and food menu. We aren’t reinventing the wheel as much as we are improving most of our items with the help of our new executive chef Raymond Alvarez. Please stop by for an authentic Santa Barbara dining experience; our friendly staff awaits you.
