Clarity™ braces combines ceramic and metal to produce an attractive and semi-​transparent or «Clear» bracket, while Invisalign® is ideal for adult and teen patients who want to enhance their smile, but are concerned about the appearance of traditional braces. Dr. Kubisch is an Elite Invisalign® Provider, a distinction that only 1% of orthodontists in the world achieve and, in addition, is a Certified Invisalign Teen Provider.

Dr. Raymond G.W. Kubisch is an orthodontist in Santa Barbara, California, specializing in orthodontics and facial orthopedics for children and adults. Dr. Kubisch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Indiana University in 1974, serving as valedictorian of his class. He then earned a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Washington in 1976.

Having been in private practice since 1976, he has provided personalized service to the residents of Santa Barbara since 2001.

Dr. Kubisch is a published author and has served on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and the University of Washington Orthodontic Department. He is the founder and director of the Summit Dental Study Group. He is co-​director of Santa Barbara Dental Study Group, an affiliate of Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Kubisch is Santa Barbara County’s only Invisalign Elite Provider.

All of our family has attended! That’s 8 kids & counting, little ones to come. I love the experience so much that at 29yrs old decided to get clear braces. It’s totally a luxury as well as a family environment. I have a busy schedule & they’re always willing 2 work with it for my appointments. My sons love 2 attend because the doctors & staff members are so kind & energetic; even at 5pm they’re not rushing me out the door… Infact they’re inquiring on my kids & on my work day. All & all, I wouldn’t go anywhere else & am so pleased with all the outcomes. There is no joy like not being afraid to smile! I smile all the time now, my lips no longer clutch my teeth when i laugh & that’s a great feeling. My 8yr old is impatiently waiting for his turn

I have been going to Dr. Kubisch for 9 years. His office personnel are very friendly, professional, and efficient. The doctor explains everything with great clarity, and he truly cares about his patients needs. I loved using invisalign and have recommended it to many friends. After many years, I needed new retainers. The office personnel treated me with the same respect of a new patient. I have sent friends for whitening kits and would recommend this office for any type of orthodontic needs.

I have been going to Dr. Kubisch and Ferris since 2009 and have been so happy with the work I have received from them. Dr. Kubisch always takes time to make sure you understand what they are doing to your teeth. He presents it in a very clear and understandable way, and makes sure you are comfortable with procedures.
They’re staff is super friendly and helpful. They are always willing to help you with questions and concerns. The office is very fun and always has various contests and games going on, it’s really a very fun environment.
I am so grateful for everything this office has done for me, and cannot say enough good about Dr. Kubisch, Ferris, and their great staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kubisch and Ferris since 2013. When I first came into Dr. Kubisch and Ferris’s office I was a complete mess. I was overwhelmed, stressed, sad, and angry about the amount of dental work I was going to need done (6 teeth extracted, invisalign, and a dental implant). Dr. Kubisch and Ferris have done an exceptional job at making me feel at ease with the process. They have done a great job at following up and collaborating with the other dentists involved in the process and have been there for me for every step. My personal goal was to have a beautiful smile before getting engaged/​married to my boyfriend of 7 years. Thanks for Dr. Kubisch and Ferris, I now have that smile. My boyfriend just proposed and I have been able to smile confidently in all the photos instead of trying to hide my teeth. I can’t wait for the wedding photos next Spring!

Dr. Kubisch and Dr. Ferris are amazing! They are both the most thorough and patient doctors I have ever worked with. I always have a million questions and they never hesitated to answer them and took the time to explain exactly what was happening.
I have been their invisalign patient for the past year and a half and am almost sad that my appointments are done. Their waiting room was almost an extension of my living room with the fresh coffee and Andrea asking how my day was going.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ferris and Dr. Kubisch to anyone that needs an orthodontist!

When I cracked my retainer, they got me in right away and treated me with perfect care even though I was only seeing them for a new retainer! I highly recommend this office.

I have been a patient of Dr Kubisch since 2011 at the recommendation of my co-​worker who raved about his practice. My teeth were in desperate need of some alignment after years of grinding, gaps and spaces. Aesthetivally they looked fine, but over time I knew that if orthodontic intervention wasn’t taken, my teeth would continue to degrade in quality. Dr. Kubisch is the most thorough and careful doctor I have encountered. He takes the time to really explain what is happening with your teeth on a very basic level that people can understand. Not only is he the best in the industry, but Dr. Kubisch has the latest technology when it comes to taking laser molds of your teeth.
The staff are all exceptional and work with the patients to accommodate their schedule and are very flexible, friendly and professional. I appreciate the payment plan, which allows patients to afford orthodontic devices like Invisalign, by making payments within their budget. I also appreciate the appointment reminders via text. .
Both Dr. Kubisch and Dr. Ferris are also heavily involved in education and regularly attend and speak at conferences to stay informed on the latest in orthodontics.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr Kubisch and Dr. Ferris’ practice, your teeth are in great hands with these pros and their staff !

I had received prior orthodontic treatment in the area, but decided to come to Dr. Kubisch and Dr. Ferris when I learned that I had some gum and bite issues. Being in my mid 20’s, I couldn’t face the idea of wearing metal braces… again. I’d heard that they were experts in Invisalign, so I made an appointment for a consultation and very pleasantly surprised. I had been a bit skeptical of what Invisalign can do, but the cases that they’ve done are pretty phenomenal… some I thought could actually only be done with surgery.
I’m seeing great results from my Invisalign, people barely notice it, and my visits to their office are always smooth. They’re timely, provide an awesome patient experience, are extremely personable, and are knowledgable about the latest advancements in the field. I’d recommend them to anyone. Five stars, hands down.

Dr. Kubisch and staff are amazing! I was heading out on a trip and the day before my flight my bottom permanent retainer came loose… I did not have an orthodontist in town as I just moved here recently. I called Dr. Kubisch office and they were so kind and helpful… they didn’t want me to be uncomfortable during my trip or have any issues with my teeth shifting. The staff was able to accommodate me on short notice and squeeze me in between appointment to fix my retainer before my trip. The staff was so friendly and the office was really nice and super clean! My husband is actually in need of an orthodontist as well and he plans to see Dr. Kubisch for his ortho needs!

Dr. Kubisch and his staff are highly knowledgeable, economically reasonable, and display the utmost concern for patient comfort. Dr. Kubisch will explain *everything* he will do, what it will feel like and why it will feel the way it does (so, no surprises). Solicits feedback on how your feeling (nervous, etc.) and responds accordingly. Takes all of the anxiety out of going through dental work — couldn’t be happier!
