We came to Guy & Guarantee Mortgage after our funding with a different lender fell through (they didn’t lock the rate in time, and it jumped a quarter point). Even with an extremely tight timeline, Guy was able to get me an incredible rate on a no-​cost 7⁄1 ARM (our desired loan). He kept things rolling with the Title company, and helped us turn what looked to be a disaster into our first home purchase. Highly recommended — 5 stars.

Guy and his team at GM are some of the best. I recently moved my loan to them after another broker backed out due to underwriting not understanding my work history. Guy was able to find us a good loan and pull off a miracle getting us closed with very little delay. I can’t recommend them enough and will be using them on the next loan for sure.

So I just refi-​ed my Jumbo Loan with GM. It was a fairly straightforward deal except I had a 2nd that required subordination. I tried several other lenders (
, other brokers, and a few banks) but GM got me the BEST rate AND the lowest cost. They could do this because they have direct access to capital pools other than banks.
They were incredibly easy to work with — docs were submitted securely online, the people in the office were super efficient, and communication was terrific. They did everything they claimed they would do. No hidden fees, no surprises. Things even turned out better than they promised!
My Background: I’ve bought and sold and refi’d several houses over the last 25 years. During the last 15 of them, I’ve worked with Guy Rivera several times, as well as other brokers and direct lenders.
There are good guys, bad guys, mediocre guys and then there is Guy Rivera.

Guy is trying to split hairs on this one. I was not a client and didn’t put in an application but we had a business relationship with them. We held a note that was being paid off by a client of Guarantee mortgage Santa Barbara. Guy is the office manager and the person I dealt with. He is the rudest most unprofessional Real Estate or Loan Broker that I have ever dealt with in over 30 years of Real Estate transactions. VERY INTERESTING THAT THE OTHER 3 REVIEWS HERE, ALL GIVING 5 STARS, WERE PUT UP WITH IN 5 DAYS OF MY RESPONSE TO GUY AND NONE OF THEM LIVE IN SANTA BARBARA.
