Our factory and showroom is located at 619 E Gutierrez #e, in Santa Barbara.

History

Established in 1984.

In 1984 Louise started the business after helping her mother find storage for her 200 pairs of shoes with purses to match. After first rejecting her mother’s idea for helping other people with their storage problems Louise decided that it might be an interesting part-​time business. At that time the closet industry was new and so most people had no concept about remodeling closets.

Since 1984 Closets, Etc has grown. The same machines that make closet remodeling possible are now used to build storage for the garage, pantry, linen closet, laundry room, bathroom, offices, bookcases.

Business Owner

For over 30 years Louise has been designing storage, and supervising her company and its employees. She has designed thousands of storage spaces, both in homes and in commercial spaces.

Before starting Closets, Etc. had other careers. After graduated from UCLA she became a teacher, then an artist and mother to a special needs child. She has written two books about her daughter, Naomi.
