History

Established in 2003.

A and J Limousine is a locally owned Santa Barbara Limo Company operated by Andrea and Justin Plackett. Our company was started with one limousine and operated by word of mouth for the first year of business. Since our start, A and J Limousine in Santa Barbara has added a variety of different vehicles to service our clients in the Santa Barbara area. We have also grown a strong network with other companies in the Santa Barbara transportation industry and are able to service a variety of needs from small events to large corporate conventions. Our goal has been, and continues to be, to provide clean well-appointed vehicles, professional service and fair but competitive rates.

A and J Limousine was wonderful for our private wine tasting tour!
Justin coordinated our visit perfectly and Robert was knowledgable, friendly, and professional! Robert made suggestions, but was very willing to go to wineries that we picked too. Because he knew the area and directions so very well, we were able to be picked up at the train station, drop our bags at the hotel, have lunch, visit 7!!! vineyards/tasting rooms in the Los Olivos area, and get back to the hotel in Santa Barbara… all in 6 very relaxing hours!!!
The sedan seemed new and was clean, had a smooth ride, was the perfect temperature, and was stocked with chilled water bottles.
Lastly, the price was very reasonable!!!
I wholeheartedly recommend A and J Limousine and could keep gushing about them, but you should stop reading my review, and go make your reservation with A & J Limo now!!! Have fun!!!

We contacted A and J Limousine service less than a week before our Santa Barbara trip for my best friend’s bachelorette weekend getaway just last month. Justin picked up the phone immediately, no answering machine to talk to. There were 5 of us gals to accommodate, and Justin was very helpful in suggesting the type of vehicle we should go with and ensured that he’d have a great driver ready upon our arrival to our hotel that upcoming Saturday morning. When we arrived after our easy drive up from L.A., our driver was promptly there at 11:00am, as planned. We hopped into the «executive mini-van», which turned out to be the PERFECT vehicle for our group. Josh was a GREAT tour guide for us and basically took care of us the whole time we were in wine country. He took us to some really wonderful spots for wine tasting and lunch, and he was fun, hilarious, and attentive to us 30-something year old gals. :) Unlike other wine tours in the area that are on a prescribed schedule, we were «winging» it the whole time and let Josh lead us much of the way, no stress at all. We NEVER felt rushed, and we ended the wine tasting tour completely happy and satisfied with the service provided by Josh, Justin, and A and J Limousine. If you’re looking for a fun and relaxed way of seeing wine country and wine tasting without paying an arm and a leg for a package deal with those other wine tour companies, I highly recommend A and J Limousine… you won’t be let down!

I went on a bachelorette/girls’ weekend wine tasting excursion up into Santa Ynez/Los Olivos with 8 of my friends. We had the limo van which seats 14, so it was quite spacious for our group. We hooked up an ipad to play the tunes of our choice, which made it extra fun. The driver was courteous, efficient and on time. We had a fabulous time and would definitely use this service in the future!

I found Aand J through another service that was booked. Turned out wonderful for a town car ride to Sana Barbara wine country from Oxnard with our driver Robert. Car was comfy for two, Robert was friendly and knew the area. The wineries were fab and they even picked a spot for us to get lunch. Al. We had to do was show up and they did the rest. If you want to taste, drink and not drive while visiting wineries, try them!

A and J Limousine service was fantastic!
We were 13 girls from Newport Beach. Due to our size I requested quotes from the following; A&J Limousine, Spencer’s limo Services, Go Exec Limo, Zeus Limo, California Star Limo, SB Chaufeeuring, Gold Coast limos, SB Wine Tours, A Good Service and SB Limos. A&J gave me the best price with their first quote. A couple of the others tried to bring their prices down when I told them they had not been accepted, but only one was willing to bring their prices as low and Aand J and that was as long as I could provide proof I was getting such a great price. No thank you. Some even gave me scary stories that I was probably not getting a reputable service and no one would show on our day.
Well AandJ showed up on time and Jesus was professional and courteous the entire day. 13 girls can be a handful with wine in them and he never stopped being professional, patient and courteous.
We had the 14 passenger extended van that was in great condition and comfortable. All black with tinted windows.
At the end of the day there were no hidden fees and Jesus stuck to our schedule.
All in all we were all very pleased and would use them again and highly suggest them.

I’m sad to see the first reviewer gave A&J only 2 stars because they deserve a higher rating. I did my research and of all the limo companies in Santa Barbara A&J hands down defeats their competitors.
I proposed to my wife during a trip to SB and used A&J for the limo ride to and from the restaurant. Rick was our limo driver and after noticing my nervous state he managed to calm me down a bit, told a few jokes and boom just like that & got my game face back.
In fact we loved Rick so much that we decided to sign up for wine tour the very next day only as long as he was to be our driver/tour guide. The tour turned out to be our best thus far and Rick was a big part of that, he’s very knowledgeable not only of the wineries but Santa Barbara in general, learned a lot that day!
Give these fellas a try! A&J went out of their way to make me a happy customer. I was frantic as it is and without their constant communication, assistance with small details/recommendations I undeniably would have screwed things up.

The limo they sent us was a lot larger than we expected. We had 8 people and we got a navigator limo designed for 15 people or so. Aside from that surprise the interior of the limo was just so-so. It was a bit run down and showed it’s age.
From there, our driver Rick, seemed pretty friendly at first. As the day progressed and we jumped from winery to winery, he kind of became passive aggressive in his responses.
The worst part was that the limo never seemed to be cool enough. Granted it was a hot day, and it’s a big car. Still, I still can’t believe that you can’t have the AC running when the car is just sitting there.
But, you can’t really complain, the limo was cheap (cheaper than the rest of the places we called) and the limo was clean inside and out.
So, yea, things could have been better, but if we want a cheap limo in santa barbara, we would call A&J again.
