Goalie monkey is the spot if your in need of goalie equipment. They have a wide variety of name brands, different sizes etc… All the salesman are very helpful and attentive to all your needs. Wyatt and Billy have taking care of me in the past and I recommend these two salesman to assist in all goalie pad needs!

Finally, heaven for hockey goalies! My man loved it here. They had everything you could think of. The location is a little hidden and in a random business area so it’s usually a little empty, but I encourage all goalies to check this spot out. The customer service is on point and they were very accommodating. My boyfriend came in looking for female and male clips for his pads and they happened to have it for cheap! Very impressed. The employee even replaced it for him with no charge. My man came out very happy, so that made me very happy :)

This place has earned my loyalty as a customer. Chaz is always incredibly helpful, and went as far as to help fix my pads the last time I was there and having an issue with a bothersome strap. The staff knows their stuff, and are really friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are a goalie or are thinking about getting into it!

I would describe the completely ignorant behavior of the employees (especially Diana B) as SNIDE and CONTEMPTUOUS. This company has such a severe lack of customer service that I would shop ANYWHERE else before coming back to this place! Ice Warehouse has some great prices so I would recommend trying them so you can avoid this place!

do not purchase from this company. (goalie monkey) they litterly ripped us off for the tune of $ 300. they sent a ripped pair of hockey pants and then turn around and say we ripped it. when in fact we never even looked at the pants and sent the box back to them unopened enough to even look at the pants. please share! they said they would provide proof and still weeks later have nothing to show. not only do they lie, they steal your money! i actually said if you show me a photo or video of the pants before packing, i will gladly pay. we never touched the pants.

Never disappointed with product and service! I feel confident with every purchase I’ve made mostly because of how knowledgable and helpful the staff are, as well as personable. GM has everything that I’m looking for and also priced comparable to others if not better. GM is my Disneyland!

Love their online website, it’s probably the best one of its competitors. As with saying, bigger is better, they sure have a lot of stuff that other retail stores, you’ll need to wait a few days to track, but GM has a ton of stuff, namely, goalie pads on stock.
But it’s their customer service that is second to none, really mean it. They have the Live Chat, so once you log in, ask away… inquired about the XLT series, for complete matching full set, and got a quote. Guess they ‘sound’ friendly lol.
The website’s well designed, easy to use, with the major manufacturers’ link at the bottom if you need more specific info. Less hassle to google, etc. Well, really, I’m sure it’s done more for SEO/​Google key word search links reasons but I digress.
Also, they’ve got a 90 day return policy with no re-​stocking fee.
Check in every now and then, they have free shipping promotions.

Amazing place, with amazing, helpful and very knowledgeable employees. This is the only place to shop for goalie gear!!!

Was in town for a hockey tournament and our goalie needed some sticks and other equipment, I decided to go with him (dew to the fact he is a goalie and should never be in public without adult supervision). The staff was very helpful, Wyatt the salesman was so helpful he went above and beyond to make sure our goalie got exactly what he needed (if you know goalies, you know how tough that can be). He ended up getting some skates and the salesman Wyatt went through and fitted him and went through all the different models and how they suited his game.
All in all this store is awesome and the staff is just as awesome.

My wife bought a goalie bag from the website for me as a gift, the size was too small as I tried putting in the equipment, it didn’t fit. I ship it back the following day. I wait a month and no response, I call them and ask for my refund… they claim I put a big scratch on the bag and they can’t resell the bag. So no refund… So their return department damages the returned item and pins it on me… what a joke, I bought bunch of stuff from goalie monkey… so if you want to return stuff. make sure you take pictures as you are packaging it… bunch of thieves…

There are many stores you can buy your goalie gear from, this one is easily the best in California, maybe even the whole US. All the guys at the store do a great job of making sure you get what you want, and helping you get a product you feel confident in. Make sure to ask for Eirik, he is a great employee who has extensive knowledge on goalie gear, and can help you with any question you have. Overall it’s a great store and I advise you to stop by and check it out.

I am an experienced player trying goaltender for the first time.
I had some used gear that needed refreshing so I checked out Goalie Monkey online and spotted some affordable gear. I had a list of things I needed in order of priority.
I called the actual store when they opened and the salesman immediately confirmed the item was on stock and set it aside for me.
I drove in and was met by 2 friendly and helpful staff members who gave me the gear they had set aside by me but also began to help me with some of the other gear I was interested in.
I ended up buying another piece of equipment and 2 accessories that I did not know I needed.
Very successful shopping trip and I intend to get the remainder of my gear upgrades at Hockey Monkey.

We all get certain hobbies in life that are «ours.» Things we pick up as kids that stick with us, and transcend every major life event. My big «thing» happens to be ice hockey… and not just any position on the ice, I’m a goalie.
Goalies are completely different creatures from the guys (and girls) that skate around, shoot and pass the puck, or get to take a breather on the bench. Us goalie are out there for the whole game, we see everything, we are the last line of defense, and responsible for stopping that puck no matter what.
As hockey as evolved, so has the speed, physicality, danger… thankfully for us, goalie gear has come a very long way. Todays goalie gear protects better, is more durable, is lighter, dries faster, and allows for much better range of motion, quickness, and control.
When I was living on the east coast as of a couple years ago, I used to order a lot of my gear from Canada, or a mythical place call Goalie Monkey. As a division of Monkey Sports, created solely to satisfy the Ice Hockey Goalies of the world, Goalie Monkey is a Mecca of all that is the modern netminder.
When I moved to LA almost two years ago, I told myself that I HAD to drive down to Goalie Monkey… and within weeks of settling in, I did… and it was glorious… too overwhelming with emotion and awe to write a review. I really only needed a few accessories on that run, but I ended up buying 2 sticks, and a new pair of Graf skates. While on that adventure to the place of my hockey equipment dreams, I found a Dad and his young (8 – 9 years old) son trying on new leg pads. The father quipped that they were visiting from Minnesota, and that the rest of the family was at Disneyland… funny, but all of us agreed that GoalieMonkey IS our Disneyland. With a vast selection of every major brand like Bauer, Vaughn, Brian’s, Reebok, CCM, Graf, etc. With shelf upon shelf of brand new, beautiful goalie pads, in every color, and so many designs… who would need Mickey friggin’ Mouse anyway? I would want to get my gear home, and get on the ice and start breaking it in…
Fast forward to my recent trip to scout out some new pants, chest protector, and maybe a new mask… still an awe inspiring experience. Goalie Monkey has everything, and it is overwhelming. The prices are internet comparable, the selection is huge, the employees are nice and knowledgeable, plus they’ll just talk hockey all day with you. The superstore location is about 45 minutes south of LA and easy to find. Just everything you imagine of the place to get all your new gear, and evolve your game.
Hockey means more to me than I could explain to Unilocal.I’ve been a goalie my whole life. I love my time on the ice, and I know getting older it is finite. But the better the gear gets, and the more I have access to it, the more I know hockey will continue to be a part of my life… I, for one, am very glad that Goalie Monkey is close by… of all the niche stores, this one is for me.
Keep your head up young goalies, stick on the ice… and keep that puck in front of you.

If you’re a goalie, obviously this dedicated superstore is a rare heaven. I feel bad because sometimes I go there to try on stuff and, because of paypal arrangement, consequently order from their website (hopefully they don’t work on commission). They are very specifically knowledgeable and I learned a lot from their tips and my game has improved. Also, BEST SHARPENING on the planet. (I would say in history, but Mr. Daoust in Dorion — when I was a kid — was also outstanding. Here, I have Danielle do the sharpening…)

I went to Monkey Sports to buy new ice skates. The salesman who helped me was very friendly and accommodating. I tried on several pairs of skates before settling on the Vapor X7.0. I asked the salesman if Monkey Sports offered free skate sharpening for the life of the skates if I bought the skates there (Hockey Giant offers this service). He said yes, so I got the skates baked, I paid and left.
I came back about a week later to get the skates sharpened and was asked to pay $ 6 at the counter. I questioned the cashier’s reason for charging me and explained that the salesman promised me free skate sharpenings. She said, «No, we only sharpen them once when you first buy the skates.»
The employee who sold me the skates happened to be working that day. I explained to him that I was being charged for skate sharpening. He offered to go speak with the manager about my situation. He returned a few minutes later only to confirm what the cashier had told me: basically, «sorry dude. Buyer beware.» I left the store understandably frustrated.
About a month after my purchase, I wrote a polite letter to Monkey Sports management explaining what happened. They didn’t even reply.
UPDATE: I have since replaced the Vapors with Supreme NXGs purchased at Hockey Giant. The skates even came with a little HG sticker on the bottom of the boot that gives me free skate sharpenings at Giant for the life of the skates.

If you or your child is or wants to be a goalie, this is a must-​visit. All the gear you need is here, and they have deals when you buy sets (e.g. blocker and catcher and leg pads purchased together will get you a discount). The staff are helpful and friendly, and will size you to make sure everything fits. Any goalie knows that the gear isn’t cheap but they have a good selection and price ranges for all budgets.
Literally every brand here, and you can size up the smallest to the largest goalie here. I highly recommend GoalieMonkey!

Walking into this place is the ice hockey goaltender equivalent to Dorothy landing in Oz. Leg pads, catch gloves, and helmets OH MY! What’s even better is that the staff as all super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They genuinely want to help you find the right gear for you size, style, and ability. Mike, Chaz, and Eric are the main staff members that assisted me in the painstaking process of determining which pair of leg pads would be best for me. After trying on literally every pair in the store, I landed on the Reebok P4’s. Now the bummer, they didn’t have the color scheme that I wanted in stock so they suggested the option of being truly unique and doing a customer order, so long as I wasn’t pressed to get the pads right away. Since time was on my side, I went through the ordering process and 8 weeks later, I’m the proud owner of a truly customer set of pads (they even have my name and number stitched into them!) I couldn’t be happier with the pads or experience at GoalieMonkey, and highly recommend them.

Very impressive store. Huge inventory. Good prices. But what keeps me coming back is the service. Every time I shop here the employees are rad. Super nice. I went in to buy a new Bauer mask and the guy suggested I try the CCM just for the heck of it. I bought the CCM. Best fitting mask ever! And I probably would not have tried it because it did not offer a cat eye cage. He promised they would have some soon and he would call when they came in. Sure enough I got a call a few weeks later… I won’t shop anywhere else.
