Praise Talos this place is great. Went during one of the cosplay nights and while it was busy they servers were on top of everything. The chicken sliders are pretty good and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Great assortment of games on PC and console.

I’d come here again. The food was really good. I was debating between the chimichanga and the burger. The waitress said they’re taking the chimichanga off the menu soon so this will be one of the last times I could get it so I went with it. It wasn’t all that. I can see why it’s going off the menu but they took it back and switched it out for the burger and the burger was PHENOMENAL! Really really great! I love Flip Burger Lounge and this burger I had here at Battle and Brew blew Flip out of the water! It literally put all other gourmet burgers to shame. Full stop. Their tater tots were great too!
It’s nice because nobody really dresses up so if you just want to go out for good food but don’t wanna change out of your jeans and tshirt, this is the place to go!

All the TVs are set to eSports… So cool. It used to feel really cramped and idk like a con, full of weebs, but now it looks awesome and spacious and sci-​fi-​y.

I can appreciate the concept. Video games, bar, food, Tardis bathroom. I can’t speak on the video games because I didn’t play any, so I don’t know if it’s a good value or not. So this review is for the bar and food part (Tardis bathroom was A-​ok, of course!)
Restaurant. First of all, they made a big deal about putting my party of 4 on a «wait» even though there were visibly several tables available. When I tried to show understanding (because they were understaffed) the hostess haughtily informed me that they are NOT understaffed, but that they only have 2 servers on at the moment. Um. Is that not the definition of understaffed?
The food, itself? Expensive and just… strange. The chef has NO idea what he’s doing, yet he probably thinks he’s brilliant. Here’s the deal. They are trying WAY too hard and the execution falls way too short. Think Ramen with all of the ingredients STUFFED into a small bowl with NO broth, slimy and unseasoned? Think shrimp and grits with WAY too much going on but with no actual detectable flavor? Fried mac and cheese balls would have been better as just straight-​up mac and cheese. $ 12 for chickpeas seasoned with curry powder on top of some rice? I could have made that myself! The tater tots with sriracha ketchup is good… I will probably just stick to that if I go back…
Bar. They do have a wide variety of interesting beers at ITP prices. They don’t have much in the way of NORMAL, but if you want a gummy bear IPA or Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough stout, have at it.
Is this place run by stoners? I’m actually confused. I guess I would be back to drink and eat tots… and maybe play games? But to have a meal? Fuggeddaboutit!

The GM/​Owner of Battle and Brew said I was bashing his bar and leaving negative reviews and banned me for it so here is my actual negative review.
Ever since Battle and Brew moved in my area, I became a regular customer. Showing up just about every day and showing my support for this type of industry. I met a couple of friends there and I brought friends and co-​workers to come check this place out with me. But apparently throughout 6 months of non-​stop visits, a problem grew. The owner of the bar pulled me aside as I walked inside the building one day and grilled me on leaving gratuity because «I take care of my staff.» What? If you take care of your staff, you’d pay them more so you wouldn’t have to talk to me about this. I know I left a tip for the waitresses every day. Big or small, one was left. Either way, The owner came at me wrong about this. He came at me as if he had an attitude. I was furious, and I did end up going to Twitter about it, speaking to MY followers about the owner of a bar, grilling me on leaving a tip. He saw it, and ended up talking to me again about bashing his bar and not supporting his business. So that brings me to another point. Rudeness. I, myself am not the friendliest person in the world. But when I visit a person’s business as a regular customer or even a year subscriber, I would think the –owner– would appreciate my business and come say «Hello.» at the very least. Come and get to know the person that I am, instead, the only time we’ve ever spoke was on bad terms. I’ll get to that.
Next thing I want to speak on are the waitresses and the staff. Its great that a lot of them know things about gaming. Some know more about it than myself. As a regular, I spoke to a few of the staff regularly. They know I joke around… or should know. Most of them joke with myself. Now, when some of the staff walk by me while I am playing a game and they see «Defeat» or «You are dead» on the screen. They’ll joke around and say «Oh man, you suck!» That’s all cool. But be ready for me to retaliate. Don’t hold it against me if I say something to you. Some of the waitresses are not able to take a joke, and in an environment that surrounds video games? That’s not good.
Next thing I want to talk about. Food/​drink service. For the six month period that I’ve visited this bar straight, there are times where the server will know what I want already as my first drink. Lemonade. Awesome to those who put it on the table before I even sit down. But, there are some who service a section, and will not return to check on us for more than 30 minutes. Now, me? I’ve been sitting in the section for quite some time, and the tables don’t have coasters. My drink is now sweating all over the desk and I don’t want to be –that guy– to leave and leave a mess. (I guess I should have did this instead.) The waitresses are walking around serving drinks to others and I’ll tap them as they walk by to ask for a napkin, refill, or whatever else I may need. Not often, once or twice a day if that. The reason I tap them on the arm would be due to… I don’t remember their names. I didn’t think this was a problem since I try to keep my area clean. The owner of the bar came to pull me aside again, grilling me not to touch his waitresses and grilled to me that it is «Assault». Come on, now. Really? With as much stuff that he’s grilled me about, I told him he needs to make a SIGN somewhere in this building or the door of all of the rules and what he doesn’t want us to do. He declined doing this and stated that everyone should know what not to do. So, fine! I stopped touching the waitresses. Actually, at this point. I stopped GOING. This was starting to become a bad experience for me. And probably only me. I called a few of my friends, speaking with them on this accident. They told me of their encounters of the same owner, stating that he was rude to them as well. I have sooo much more to type, but this seems to be my limit. Eventually the owner banned me from the bar. Told me not to come back. Story of a good experience gone bad.

My first visit to Battle & Brew was on a Saturday night around 10pm. By then, you’re out of luck on getting a console especially if B&B is hosting parties for some groups.
Gaming-​wise, I’m impressed. I know this location in Sandy Springs has been open for less than a year. Everything is still in great shape. Although it doesn’t make much sense to me to rent a console when I’d rather play in the comfort of my own home, I can see that people come here to hang even if it is over a game. There’s also a decent selection of board games.
Coffee bar AND full-​service bar. I totally didn’t expect there to be coffee but it makes sense.
The food was ok. Yoshi egg wasn’t that good and it may have changed from quail eggs to a 6-​minute chicken egg. A bit too salty for me and it didn’t really resemble its namesake. Tater tots with Yum Sauce and even their sweet potato fries are decent. Service, however, was really bad. Our waitress came over, took our order and served us. But she never came back to check on us as we were low on drinks: alcoholic drinks. It appears that most of the staff is serving the party, so the rest of the tables were ignored. This is a common problem I’m seeing with bars/​restaurants lately: lack of service for alcoholic drinks. Restaurants make money off of drinks, so doesn’t it make sense for the servers/​waitresses to keep the alcohol flowing?
I’m sure I would have given this place more stars if I hadn’t ate here. Bottomline, you can’t go wrong with gaming and booze. I also hear they have some challenging trivia nights so it may be worth checking out.

Had the odd and rare pleasure of coming to Battle & Brew two nights in a row both for birthday shindigs.
Night one– Party was reserved. Three televisions along the wall, 3 drink tabs per person, and some nice little treats served up for snacks. Actually– Just skip on over to Carrie T.‘s review since it’s splendid and covers all ground (as it was actually her reservation I was attending.) Also, a reserved party at B&B is a serious treat. Definitely a memorable night of gaming and fun, and my first time experiencing Battle and Brew!
Night two– Party was not reserved and also a majority of everyone’s first time going to B&B. Verdict, still fun, but it certainly paid to have a space. It worked out though since our group was small, so we hung out in the dining room after signing up on the waitlist for a TV.
B&B’s menu is chocked full of references to make your inner geek/​nerd smile. We quickly ordered drinks, and small plates along with a flatbread– all of it not half bad and enjoyable to say the least. As far as drinks went they were all great too, except the whiskey sour which bizarrely smelled like a wharf. We eventually figured out it was the ice used in the drink that smelled very much like fishy barnacle scrapings off a pier.
Service was great, but extremely slow. This place is super crowded, and I was actually really surprised the waitress was able to score me some extra limes after asking and was told that she wasn’t able to cause the bar was backed up.
We ended up not getting a TV as it was getting really late, but we played boardgames for the entire time we waited and that was a lot of fun. Also the boardgames don’t cost anything to play and you can play them in the dining area.
My star off is really for the smelly whiskey sour… since who knows where that ice cube came from. However, I wouldn’t turn down another night of boardgames and drinks at B&B.

Great vibe and was extremely busy by 7pm! Definitely call ahead to reserve a table or else you’ll have to stand and wait for a loooong time. Service was okay… Our wait staff was very nice but overwhelmed by their duties. My friends and I were pretty patient, but if you’ve eaten everything off of your plate and then stacked your own plates, only to wait an additional 20 minutes before getting your check, then something isn’t right. Food is decent but is missing something; it looks fancy but tastes subpar. My friends and I still enjoyed the night as it still is really a cool place to hangout, but I don’t think we’ll be coming back anytime soon for the food… but maybe the drinks.

Fun, great place to go at night as an alternative to the same ‘ol same ‘ol smoky bar. You don’t have to be a gamer to enjoy it, but it helps. Whole concept is pretty neat.
Beef stew tasted straight out of a can. Really bad. Tots and sweet potato fries were excellent. Friends seemed to really enjoy the Steamed Buns.
Wednesday night is Trivia Night, so getting a table is impossible. Unfortunately this means we probably won’t be back. Cool place, just not quite what we’re looking for.

I think the best way to describe this is a cross between a pretty good beer bar, nerd heaven and college dive.
We sat at the bar as the service here is really non existent, and if you are over 35, well it’s a lot worse. We decided to check it out as they had a few beers I wanted to try. The first thing I noticed as we sat at the bar was that smell off old rancid alcohol. Yum The bartender was nice enough. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates and tater tots.
All the food has neat names related to gaming. As far as quality. It’s college bar food. Don’t expect much more. For what it was, it is not a bad place. If I were an 18 year old college gamer, I would live here.

Best place to people watch for really awkward 30 year old virgins. Drinks are slow and sparse, food ranges from «eh» to «mmm».
For real though, it was okay. Initially, I was really impressed with their beer/​wine selection on the menu. I saw three wines that immediately caught my eye and I thought to myself «whew, Alex, don’t over-​do it, but there are some good wines here». I picked the one most suitable to my palette and relaxed.
Fast forward 30 minutes. The waitress has been back to the table a total of 4 times to tell me what the bar doesn’t have. She was a really nice waitress, and it wasn’t her fault, but jeez. I finally had to get her to tell me what they did have in stock. There was clearly not enough staff the night we were there this past weekend and we contemplated sending up smoke signals to get a waiter at several points in the night (usually with dry & empty cups).
It seemed like a really cool concept for the gamer kids who like to sit in cubicle farms and play games with headsets on. Not really my gig, but they sure did look like they were having a good time (insert 30 year old virgin joke here).
Food was nothing to write home about. The cinnamon roll was good. The people were really nice. There was a great side-​porch area for smokers. Overall, a nerd-​tastic heaven that I perhaps may not fully appreciate.

My low review is due to the «Ramen» they serve. Right, this is a gamer’s joint. I totally understand, but don’t serve random bad items please. The Ichiraku Ramen — For $ 10, you get two small bites of ramen. I don’t even understand why it comes with mushrooms and lotus roots. It’s suppose to be a homage to Naruto, and the recipe can be found online! Either case, this is the weirdest ramen I’ve ever had.
Great place to go for events if you have a group of friends.
The staff was great. The waitress did forget to get my friend’s drink, but my friend was already turnt up and didn’t need it.

So this is the first time, I’ve been to Battle & Brew since they moved to the new location. I’ll have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Coming in, I had low expectations of the food and alcohol. I was expecting it to be just like the old one. I was wrong.
The food menu is upgraded and it’s more foodie-​like and not dive-​bar like. They have ramen, tacos, flat breads, steaks, fish and more. I love the dipping sauces that they had, especially the sriracha ketchup sauce and the maple whiskey marshmellow sauce. Their alcohol menu is upgraded and it’s more of a cocktail menu. And I can see that they improved the bar with different juices and bitters and craft beers.
Additionally, their prices are not outrageous but very well priced. Only knock I have against dining at Battle & Brew is the service is a little bit slow. I wish our server came by more often and it took a little bit of time for us to get our food but overall it didn’t ruin our experience.

I would give this place five stars if the service was faster. I think that because it’s generally so busy the servers get overrun sometimes, but there have been times I waited a half hour for a refill, or had to chase someone down to get a check after they walked past me or the person who needed them six times.
I adore Battle and Brew but somehow you have to wait longer than at other places for food and drinks (except on my last visit, which was a slower Sunday evening, and I sat in a friend’s section, and he’s always on top of his sections, so maybe that’s why the timing was more appropriate.)
Several people I know feel the same, so I know it’s just how it is, and I’ve accepted it. Don’t go to BNB if you’re in a hurry (it’s so awesome you shouldn’t do that anyways.)
*Edit– after reading other reviews, service and food wait time seems to be a huge problem, but I expect it just gets better as the growing pains are sorted with time.
The staff is friendly and fun and feels like family (I always love our random conversations, even with people who aren’t our server), the game stations and renting options are great, the food is sumptuous for the most part (the fried Mac N Cheese is bland), and the drinks are high quality and well priced. (So many good choices!)
Gaming options are great, and someone can turn up a tv for you if the restaurant music sound system is too loud.
The winter menu is an excellent addition (get the gnocchi!!!), although they seemed to be out of Everything last time I stopped by. I finally ordered the ribs after three or so appetizers and three drinks each (we spend a lot when we go here almost weekly) but they gave me brisket without any explanation. But by that point I was just wanting food. And the brisket was awesome so I ate it anyways.
Again– this place is typically busy. They sell out of popular things.
As long as you don’t mind paying a little extra for food over other comparable quality and portion sizes (or maybe the slower cooking/​delivery time makes me feel like it’s pricier, that’s probably it), you’ll be super pleased.
Especially if you’re a gamer or a nerd in general, it’s like The Chocolate Factory for people like us. Straight down to the menu naming options and TARDIS hallway.
I honesty love Battle and Brew, and I’m so glad a place of this quality and environment exists.

I came here by recommendation of a friend that it would be a dance party thing on Halloween. Alas, it wasn’t, and instead was incredibly awkward.
I say it was A-​OK because I’d consider coming back again with a group for an event or for the dancing, which sounded really fun according to my friend. She came to B&B for a Dragon*Con after party where they turned most of the space into a dance floor and played fun music that you can dance to instead of club music. She was under the impression the same thing was happening on Halloween, only to find out that it wasn’t when we walked in.
I also say the evening was awkward because I don’t share many interests with their target demographic. So I got a drink and people watched; some were dressed in really great costumes. Well, at least the ones where I understood the pop culture reference. Basically, if you aren’t there to play games, there’s not much to do.
Overall, I can’t say B&B is a bad place. It was nice: good staff and customer service, clean, and I felt safe. It’s just not my thing, and I’m ultimately not running back to visit again.

This place would get six stars if I could. The dream. Great drinks, food, service, people and the games you love! I wish I lived less than 1500 miles of this place.
PC gaming is awesome, but the food, drinks and craft beer is enough to come in for. The service and knowledge of craft beers was impressive. We all would be better if more establishments like this were around.

I am late to this nerd party for sure. It is an unassuming location and I pass by this venue about once a week. My hubby’s bday was arriving and I was fresh out of ideas of places to take him this year. I wanted to do something different and this was the answer to my question!
It is a gamer’s dream, really and truly! It’s like a Chucky Cheese but for adults. There are two full bars and a restaurant. There are numerous living room set-​ups too. Couches equipped with their tv’s and PS4 and Xbox1 games were set. Groups of PC’s suitable for LAN parties were in the center of floor. They charge about $ 9.00 an hour to rent the systems. They also have theme nights. We went on a Thursday which is board game night. We played Cards Against Humanity in the living room set up while watching the Falcons/​Saints game. It was SO FUN!
The food was delicious too. My chili was comforting and my flank steak and potatoes were phenomenal. The beer menu is impressive and is always changing. The gaming menu is expansive as well. They recently had a Game of Thrones pre-​set 9 course menu with wine pairings. I hate I missed it but I will keep my eye out for anything Star Wars.

I suppose I thought this should be 3 stars, but I couldn’t help myself because of the concept. It automatically gives it an extra star.
I brought my hubby here as a surprise dinner date one Friday night. I think we got there around 7:30 and we were the only ones eating dinner for a while, then one more table showed up eventually. The food was decent, and I enjoyed my cocktail.
We had to wait around 2 or 3 hours for a TV to open up. It’s nice that they have a text messaging system to let you know when you can come get your game and controllers.
The wait staff was really friendly and helpful which is always a plus.

This place is very well done! My husband and I went to play board games and another time to play Assassin’s Creed. The bar is great with really good cocktails, an expansive beer list and some lovely wines. The food, while somewhat heavy (they love duck fat here), is also very good. This would be a great place to grab a bite before a movie at Lefont or just to chill and observe all things gamey. :-)

Pricy food, and it taste okay. Drinks are too damn small for the price and they don’t have much choices. They don’t even have pinapple mixes :(
Games are great, tho they need to do something about the weekend gaming distribution. Most of the time I go there I can’t play cuz it was already full for the whole night and I don’t think we get full experience that way.
EDITED REVIEW: I am very upset with them taking the macaroni side off the menu and refuses to do it cuz they don’t like to make it. I mean… if u have a inconsistent menu, your customers will not be very happy if they found their favorite and you decide to take it off the next month!!!
On a second note, they try to improve all the time so I really appreciate their effort. Specially in the gaming time dept and I like how they write you back :)

It was like I was in college again and back in the land of LAN parties and all the video games.
Battle & Brew is a very interesting concept — video games, computer games, board games, food & drinks. I was really surprised that I was able to walk right in on a Friday night and get a table — although we didn’t ask about the wait for video or computer games. I had a Red Brick beer on draft and ordered the take on friend mac & cheese balls. I wasn’t super hungry — so the balls were a good size for an appetizer, but I wasn’t sold on the fusion thing they had going on with ‘em.
We tried out a few card games and was able to watch some amazing Just Dance and some Mortal Kombat. I totally should’ve played — because Friday’s are ladies night and it would’ve been FREE! How did I turn that down?!
This is a cool place to come with friends & do more than just eat & drink your faces off — you could rip some faces off too (in video games of course).
My one pet peeve is every waitress was dressed up to meet your typical computer geek fantasy. Being an official girl computer geek, I’m not a fan of that stereotype — but if thats what you’re into… sure.

Checked out the new locaton. I went to the old one once (during the day), and it seemed like a chill place. This new locaton is bigger, and more «shiny.»
The atmosphere, and crowd, is unique. Battle and Brew caters to those who lean towards geeky interests (myself included). The bathroom door is a giant Tardis from Doctor Who; the walls have Dungeons & Dragon die; and hello? 20+ computers and multiple gaming consoles (from Super Nintendo to PS4) for you to enjoy? The games are on a first come first serve basis. Sometimes they may be reserved for special events. And from their website, it seems special events occur frequently. I will defintely be going back for one of their trivia nights to see what it’s about.
But beyond the things that cater to geeks, it just seems like a nice chill bar to relax at. There’s a pretty good selection of craft beers. The mixed drinks have nice names and combinations. I tried the «Make It So» and «Stormageddon Dark Lord» and both were quite tasty. Our sever and bartender was friendly, and knew the menu well. Her recommendaton for trying my tater tots with Maple Whiskey Aioloi sace v. regular ketchup was… well probably the best choice I’ve made this week. I don’t know that I’d ever go back to ketchup! My main dish was the Hawlucha Sandwich, a decent sub for the burger that I actually wanted (they were out of burgers after hosting an event earlier in the night). Next time I came back, I did order the Cid burger. It was OK, not impressive but not bad either.
I want to give it bonus points for being open late, until 2:00am on most nights. This helps me a lot since I work night shift and usually sleep in to miss regular dinner time.
So, for the novelty of being a geek-​themed bar, the various options for games and special events, solid enough food with plenty of drink options, and kind service– Battle and Brew should be on the list for every one who loves a little sci-​fi/​fantasy/​video games. And even if you don’t, its a nice change of pace than the same old bars.
EDIT: I finally went there for trivia night. It was fun, but the DJ was hard to hear at times. Not sure if it was the speakers or his voice. The questions were definitely challenging. Even with 20+ teams competing, not many of them were in real contention in the final round.

I’d never visited the old Battle & Brew location and was excited to check out the new one. Well, as excited as someone with very limited gaming (video or otherwise) experience could get.
Here’s all you need to know about my video game experience: I was gifted an X-​Box 360 about 4 – 5 years ago. I’ve used it twice.
So basically, I’m a giant loser.
That being said, this place was really fun! I came for a meetup with a bunch of people from the internet. We started at one of the couch setups and played some really bizarre game on the Wii. Ladies game for free on Fridays, so no idea on how much our time there would have cost. Later, most of us moved to the dining section of the place, for which we had a reservation. Many of the parties had a card or board game out while they ate and drank. We played Cards Against Humanity, which went excellently.
The food was just fine. I had the boneless wings with the spicy honey cilantro sauce, which was outstanding. Later on, I had the BBQ brisket mini quesadilla. It was good for the $ 3 price tag.
The menu, which of course is video game themed, has a range of sizes and prices of meals. If you’re broke, go for the mini quesadillas and stick to the «Item Shop» section. If you’re starving, move on the Level 3 or Level 4.
As for the drinks, I tried the El Duderino (if you’re not into the whole brevity thing), which was nice and sweet but I didn’t taste any alcohol. I then switched to Sweetwater 420 tallboys. They have a pretty good beer list and the entire drink menu is reasonably priced.
Food and drink came out within an acceptable time frame. Service was prompt in the dining section, but a bit slower on the gaming side, which makes sense because the area was completely packed from the time I walked in at ~8:45pm to when I left around midnight.
I would definitely come back.

Battle & Brew opened its new Sandy Springs location on Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Parkside Shops shopping center on busy Roswell Road. Other businesses in this shopping include Chipotle, Subway, Bishoku (Japanese restaurant), Chef Rob’s Caribbean Café, and Egg Harbor Café. Battle & Brew moved from its longtime Marietta outpost and by all indications, its new spot in Sandy Springs has been a vast improvement in a number of areas including interior, space, food, and parking.
I visited with a large group exactly one week after grand opening and the place was slammed. Standing room only. Good thing we had a reservation. According to our server Bri, the restaurant-​bar sold out of everything in its first two nights and had to close its doors the following night in order to recuperate. Wow. This place is definitely not hurting.
For those who don’t know, Battle & Brew is a geeky restaurant and bar for gamers. It’s pretty unique to the Atlanta area. You can rent TVs (and consoles) and PCs by the hour and play a multitude of games. I’m pretty impressed with the build-​out. There are at least 24 high-​end gaming PCs hooked up in the center of the space, eight per circular tower. There are at least a half dozen TVs set up around the perimeter, each TV surrounded by a cozy, living room style setup with coffee tables, chairs, and couches. Needless to say, this makes Battle & Brew a great hangout spot.
Since the Sandy Springs location opened less than a couple weeks ago, everything inside is new from the furniture to the equipment. It was nicer than I expected. In addition to the communal gaming areas, there are several high-​top tables for board games, two bars, a dining room, and two rooms/​sections which can be reserved for large groups and private functions. The atmosphere is definitely nerdy and geeky. It’s like being at a convention like Dragon Con or MomoCon. And just like the gaming rooms at those conventions, the thermostat is turned down way low to help keep the electronics cool and the BO (body odor) at bay.
TVs can be rented at $ 9 per hour and PCs can be rented for $ 7 per hour. These are great deals considering you can split the cost among your group. Friday night is ladies’ night when ladies game for free. On Tuesday night, there’s half price gaming. Consoles include PS3, PS4, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Check Battle & Brew’s web site for a list of available console and PC games. There’s also a list at the counter inside, of course. They have plenty of the most popular current and older games. If you plan on gaming at Battle & Brew a lot, it may behoove you to invest in a daily, monthly, or yearly pass.
Tabletop and board games are free! You don’t have to sign the games in or out. I’m surprised how generous the staff is in this regard. They stock many popular modern and classic board games. All appear to be in good to great condition. Examples of board games I saw include Small World, Munchkin Deluxe, Cards Against Humanity, Trivial Pursuit, Cthulhu Fluxx, and Settlers of Catan.
I spotted a true gem: the WWF Wrestling Challenge board game by Milton Bradley. It’s an old school throwback from 1990. It was in excellent condition, virtually new. Bri told us the game was donated to Battle & Brew. The only thing missing was the instructions. She had to search for instructions online and printed out a PDF. We had a blast playing this game. Sadly, of the nine wrestlers in the game (Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Rick Martel, Ted DiBiase, Earthquake, Jake Roberts, Mr. Perfect, and Big Boss Man), six have already passed away.
As far as the food and drink go, the alcoholic beverage menu appears to be extensive. The food is typical pub grub with some interesting twists here and there. The food menu is funny because it references games. They try to be cute with the section names. For example, sides are listed under «Item Shop» and desserts are listed under «Bonus Level.» This actually makes reading the menu a bit confusing at first.

Harvest Moon Flatbread — fresh apple, ham, thyme, olive oil, sea salt, maple syrup

Chicken Pesto Mini Quesadilla — grilled chicken, pesto, mozzarella
Generally, the food is OK. It’s certainly better than I expected for a gamer bar. The candied bacon in the Bacon Three Ways appetizer is my favorite. The seaweed, though subtle, actually works well in the Mac ‘n Nori dish. The Harvest Moon Flatbread is addictively cheesy. The Spicy Honey Cilantro Boneless Wings come with fresh cilantro and are indeed spicy. The Chicken Pesto Mini Quesadilla isn’t bad either. The food is attractively plated and presented.
Though the kitchen got bogged down (long wait times for food), our server Bri was awesome. She’s considerate and thoughtful.

Oh, B&B, you’ve got some work to do… kinks to work out. But knowing that these are growing pains, I’ll be back and will update my review (hopefully for the better)… But wow, you guys have bitten off more than you can chew. Please hire some help!
I love you guys and enjoyed the old location, but not enough to visit more often than I did. It was run down, the food was not great and lack of alcohol was a driver for me to not visit as often as I would have liked. So I was thrilled to have you move into my backyard AND with a liquor license. So our outing on your 2^nd Friday — we were all quite giddy.
A couple of key points — we made a reservation for 20 people and were given a private area, we showed up at 730pm on a Friday and all ordered food and alcohol. We never got to get any game time in. We were assigned one server — BUT Bri was kick ass managing 18 people on her OWN. Sure, runners helped bring out food, but they had no idea where anything needed to go. Bri had it all under control — well as best as she could considering the kitchen just could not keep up. And it wasn’t just us — apparently there were about 200 people in the joint. Our food was very slow to come out — luckily our drinks were not.
So the food is a huge upgrade — and I liked everything I got (pretty much). The fries were cold, almost ice cold. The sauces could not save them. The tots were far superior. I wouldn’t order the fries again — too thin, not crispy, not enough seasoning. I would love the tots with the Yum Yum Sauce, though. I enjoyed my sandwich — the Cordon Brolauf. Grilled chicken, ham, swiss, honey mustard on a delicious egg twist bun. It was on the smaller side than I was expecting — but it was still pretty great. My appetizer came 40 minutes after my sandwich — the fried cheese — it was pretty good. It came with a tomato jam — it just needed more tomato jam and to be a bit hotter. I think this was a function of the kitchen.
Some of our group waited over 90 minutes for food — I waited over 60. They closed their kitchen down by 10pm to «catch up.» They needed to honor people with later reservations — but we had a reservation. We couldn’t game (there was ALWAYS a 2.5 hour wait for a TV), so we resorted to board games. We were in a private area with tables (not enough for 18 people) and a TV running some gaming conference none of us were watching. So we played a board game or two as half our party left — Bri kept bringing us drinks and waters until we game up and left at 1130pm.
So the kitchen cannot keep up with demand. Gamers come in and camp all day — so there is no way to play games (other than board games) and we were lucky enough to have tables to play board games. So here are my suggestions — hire more kitchen help! You get large parties in, you clearly need more servers (1 server for 20 people?) — again, Bri was a rock star — but I feel like for her own sanity she probably needed help. And for that area we were in — add a console to that TV — we could have been paying an hourly fee for all of us to be playing while eating and drinking. Money lost B&B.
Also, my Dark & Stormy had no rum — it was ginger beer and lime juice. I had to switch to cider as it was a weak drink and a big disappointment.
You guys will get there, but you need better planning. After your opening weekend and you had to shut down to recoup — I would have expected better planning for weekend #2. You’ve got this — over plan, over prep, over staff. Better to be over prepared than under prepared.
Welcome to Sandy Springs — this is a HUGE improvement over your last place. Welcome to the big leagues!

I frequented the old Marietta location, because I’m a big nerd that enjoys playing League of Legends and Left 4 Dead. It went without saying that I was looking forward to the new Sandy Springs location, especially since pretty much all the gripes of the old location were being addressed: parking, restrooms, kitchen capacity, space, space, and space.
The new location is pretty much right off of the Roswell Rd. exit on I-​285. It’s located in a large shopping center shared with numerous other businesses; despite the fact that parking was a little crowded when I went during opening weekend, it goes without saying that when things settle down, parking should be a vast improvement over 16 spots, the curb, and the church and elementary school down the road.
Entering Battle & Brew, it’s quite literally maybe 4 – 5 times larger than the old place. And definitely gone from the old divey atmosphere to an attempt at slightly more sophisticated-​chic. The interesting thing about the layout is that it’s somewhat divided into compartments, like a designated area really for dining in, the area for PC gaming, areas for console gaming, a supposed lounge for private parties, as well as _​two_​bars. Clearly, enhancing the gaming experience wasn’t the only objective here.
The menu is definitely unique as is often the case with bars/​eateries attempting to stand out from the pack, as if being a place offering video games weren’t enough. But B&B has a good beer selection chosen by people I’d probably accuse of being beer snobs, but in a good way, because if I want something unique and expensive, I can trust their judgment, or I can just be a cheapskate and cruise on Genessee Cream.
As for the food, I had this pretty good abomination of a hamburger, called like the Burger with 100 Names or something, but the bottom line is that it’s a double-​patty burger with a racquetball-​sized blob of fried mac and cheese on top of it. I’m not entirely sure if such a thing is available anywhere else, but if you’re into that kind of artery-​clogging goodness, B&B has is, among some other, video game-​inspired options.
And tater tots. I’m a gigantic kid at heart, and will always love tater tots.
Overall, I’m happy that Battle & Brew is back up and running, and I’m so far pleased with the new location. Aside from superficial visual changes, I still feel like much is the same, just more of it. More space, more gaming capacity, more food options, more beer options, and most importantly, more restrooms; gone are the single-​person closets from the old place. No more playing the game of rattling the door handle to find it locked, and internally debating on whether to wait and make awkward eye contact with the person leaving, or going back to your seat and watching from afar and hoping nobody gets to it before you do.
Either way, I spent many an evening playing games there in the past, and I’m looking forward to doing the same at the new place.

New hang out place! The new venue is amazing. Such an upgrade from the old place. They finally have a liquor license and really upped their gaming… game.
It opened 2 days ago and I’ve already been twice if that tells you anything!
