Our practice have been serving the TriValley area for over 30 years. We are right across Home Depot and convenient to the 680 freeway.

Business Owner

Dr. Thames completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at U. C. Irvine. He did post graduate work at California State University at Fullerton in reading difficulties. He received his Doctor of Optometry in 1982 from U. C. Berkeley School of Optometry and was honored with the Golden Retinoscope Award as the outstanding graduating clinician. He has served on the board of Directors of the Alameda Optometric Association Contact Lens Section and is a clinical associate with Laser Surgery Centers.

Dr Thames is amazing. We recently moved to San Ramon and I was looking for Optometrists in this area and my colleague suggested San Ramon Optometric Group and I had fabulous experience in my first visit itself. Right from the very friendly front desk staff to everyone there are super helpful.
Dr thames Fletcher explains everything in detail (I thought I was attending medical school for a second :-)) I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone. They don’t unnecessarily sell any frames or glasses and help you with what is absolutely needed. Love this place!

Having relocated to the San Ramon area, I found soooo many optometrists to choose from. Boy, oh, boy did I get lucky. Dr Thames and his staff are the finest team to be found. Up to date modern equiptment and a lovely office space are just the beginning. The entire staff is friendly and caring. They were able to accommodate my work schedule and worked my husband in for an exam when the DMV required an additional form completed before issuing a drivers license for surgical monovision. If there was an ability to give a ten star rating, it still would not be enough.

Moved from San Mateo to Danville and Dr. Fletcher was a referral. As we know sometimes referrals work, and well, sometimes they don’t. In this case, it worked very well!
Dr. Fletcher was very thorough in both the exam process, answering all of my questions and ensuring that one of his folks worked patiently with me in ordering my prescription glasses.
Always a positive when you make seamless changes, especially when it comes to your health.

I’ve been going to Dr. Thames for at least ten years now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The practice has all the latest technology and I always pay for the eye scan that shows the health of my scapula, arteries and veins in my eyes. I always joke with them about what new «toy» they got this year but what that really means is Dr. Thames invests in the latest technology to care for his patients. From the walk into the doorway I knew I was in for a pleasant experience. I was greeted by everyone within earshot and made to feel right at home. They knew my name and I was immediately taken to a exam room by the friendliest receptionist, offered a magazine which I didn’t even have time to open because here came Dr. Thames! This was my final visit of three because I have a fairly bad astigmatism in one eye and he wasn’t to pleased as to how they were seated on my eye. This last time they were great. I’ll miss my weekly visits, but I look forward to my next time I have a visit to Dr. Fletcher’s office!!!
