HomeLab is at the center of creating a green, healthy, efficient home. We improve home air quality, taking care of the problem from beginning to end. We leverage data and building science to identify the type of pollution and its source, and select the right products and services so homeowners don’t have to lift a finger to breathe cleaner air.

We created HomeLab in response to growing evidence that the air we breathe inside our homes may not be healthy, and we are out to save one ton of pollution right inside our living rooms.

History

Established in 2014.

The HomeLab team has a decade of experience in the energy efficiency industry and reducing outdoor pollution from power plants, We are putting our building science expertise to even better use now, removing pollution inside our homes.

We saw a need to provide air quality information, expert recommendations, and guidance through the process so it is easy for homeowners to breathe cleaner air.

Meet the Business Owner

Nate B.

Business Owner

Nate started his career in high-​tech, having worked in marketing at OpenTable. After receiving his MBA from Duke University, he joined PG&E’s MBA Leadership Program, where he ran energy efficiency programs for 4 yrs. He then joined Ecova, a third-​party implementer of energy efficiency programs across the country. As VP of Residential Products and Services, he worked with contractors and manufacturers to continue to create greener homes.

He started HomeLab as he became more aware of the pervasive indoor air quality problem in homes and potential health impacts.

Like everyone at HomeLab, he is certified in building science by the Building Performance Institute and enjoys sharing his knowledge to create a healthier home.
