Everything Must Go

I found Derek Pierce’s listing on craigslist. I already had somebody lined up who flaked out on me at the last moment, and Derek showed up with less than a day’s notice to save the day. I needed to have my storage space cleared out. Some things were going to my home, some to the dump, some to Goodwill, and one thing needed to be dropped off and another location. He and his helper worked quickly and efficiently to load and unload the truck. No excuses, no drama, just good work. He services the East Bay primarily. He’s in Martinez, my hauling was from Oakland to Alameda, so if you are anywhere in the East Bay and need something hauled, moved, taken to the dump, give him a call — 925−812−0068.
Update 1÷7÷09 — After I posted my initial review on 12/​28, I discovered that I couldn’t find some specific books in the boxes that had been delivered to my home, and called Derek right away, out of fear that everything had already been donated, dumped, or recycled. I caught him in time, and he stored the boxes for me until he could come back to my area and bring them to me as well as take more items to be hauled away. That took until 1÷7÷09, but Derek was conscientious about making sure that I had my books back. I had been concerned that perhaps other things had been put in the wrong pile, but just before he arrived on 1÷7÷09, I found the box of books I was looking for because it had been put behind a chair instead of in the location with the other books. I didn’t realize how concerned Derek had been until I found the books and heard the relief in his voice. Another thumbs up on the follow-​up experience.

I found this guy — Derek Pierce — through Craigslist. I had a huge pile of junk after moving into my new house, and gave him a call. He came by within 30 minutes, gave me an estimate (which was VERY reasonably priced), and within an hour, all the stuff was gone. He even swept the area to get every last bit of stuff. Now that’s going the extra mile! I can’t recommend him enough.
