History

Established in 2006.

Dave DePonceau started DePonceau & Associates to serve the accounting and tax needs of local small businesses and individuals. His founding philosophy is that by providing exceptional service at reasonable rates, he will retain clients for years and grow primarily through client referrals. So far, so good. Client retention is very high, and referrals continue to be impressed by the personal service and attention DePonceau & Associates gives each client.

Currently DePonceau & Associates services clients both within and outside of the Bay area. The majority of clients in the immediate Bay area are found near the I-​680 and I-​580 corridors.

Meet the Business Owner

David D.

Business Owner

Dave DePonceau is a CPA, Enrolled Agent and holds a Masters degree in Taxation. He has over 26 years of experience in public accounting and the private sector. He has acted as the controller and/​or the chief financial officer of various entities and has a stellar record in helping each one prosper. Primarily, Dave’s experience in the private sector was in real estate accounting and taxation, including property management, syndication, development, asset management and leasing. In addition, Dave has been instrumental in guiding numerous companies from the start-​up phase to the thriving enterprise stage.

Dave was born and raised near Buffalo, New York. After serving in the US Army in West Germany, he earned his BS in accounting from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Although he has lived in the Bay area since 1990, he will always root for the Bills (NFL), Sabres (NHL) and any incoming Sierra snowstorm. Dave works with his wife, Deanna, who runs the front office.
