History

Established in 1955.

Established in Alameda in mid 1950’s by Wesley F Suman (deceased). Moved from Alameda to Oakland Airport area in late 1970’s. A second office was opened in Danville in July, 1986. In 1995, closed Oakland office and merged with Danville office. In August, 2007, firm moved to San Ramon under the name of Hewitt, Jones & Fitch. Steve Jones passed away unexpectedly in July, 2007. The firm has two remaining partners – Dave Hewitt and Theresa Fitch.

Business Owner

Theresa is a certified public accountant and an IRS enrolled agent. She has been with Hewitt Jones & Fitch since 1998 and was licensed by the State Board of Accountancy in 2000. Her specialty is individual and small business entity income tax and compliance, as well as estate and trust fiduciary tax returns. She has experience in the areas of payroll and payroll taxes, assisting clients setup and use QuickBooks, preparing fiduciary and probate accounting reports for attorneys, all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, income tax planning, compilation and review services of financial statements.
