Horrible company! If i could give negative stars i would! I took time off work in advance for my appointment with them and when i called a few days ahead to confirm my appointment they couldn’t give me an answer. I call them the morning of my appointment and just what i expected i was never on record. They kept telling me they would have someone call me. Never heard from them… I chose them not by choice, but because thats who my home warranty assigned. I have already contacted my home warranty company and told them to find me a new contractor that’s more professional. I don’t want to ever deal with this company again!

Home warranty + Rose heating = ridiculously bad. We have been without heat since November 7. That’s 1 month of freezing! Rose doesn’t care. They came out on Nov 11 & didn’t fix it, waited 10 days until they could come out again! When the technician came out the second time, he said he needed to order a part. I was SHOCKED when they didn’t expedite shipping and said it would take a week to get the new part! The part is due today and I have put 2 calls into their office to schedule a third appointment… waiting…

This Company works with affiliation with American Home Shield. I’m not certain which company is worse. I will tell you that they changed our schedule repair date twice and the third time tried to re-​schedule it for 2 weeks from now. This is a heating furnace system in my home. I have two elderly people living here in their 90’s. I told them than that and they could have cared less. It was 45 degrees last night. The little cupcake who works In their office (sounds about 12 years old) was condescending and rude.
This company is incompetent. With all the heating and air conditioning companies to choose from, I suggest you not call these morons

Wow, what a difference a good technician/​company can make! This is the third time I’ve requested service for the same A/​C issue. The first company wanted to charge me 100’s of dollars for a diagnosis, the second company missed three appointments so I moved on to Rose Heating and Air with low expectations. Freddy showed up today, was extremely awesome and knowledgeable and fixed the problem with a minimal expense! I’m so happy. Thanks Freddy!

Okay, so it looks like my terrible experience with this company does not differ from many others… They called to cancel my appointment the day before they were due apologizing that they had double booked. I had taken the morning off from work to be there for the service call. When rescheduling, they assured me I would be the first call and they would be at my house by 8:15 AM the following day so I could go to work. When they were not there by 9 AM I called to request a confirmation of the time. They told me they would be there at 11 AM because the contractor was at another home. (What happened to «You will be the first call»??) This is well after the time that I needed to be at work. So, over one week later my furnace is still not fixed and it is literally 58° in my home. I filed a complaint with American Home Shield. Hopefully they will learn that this is not a reliable company to use as a contractor… Very distressing.

Well, I guess I had a very different experience than some of the others here. I called AHS when our AC unit stopped working yesterday. They told me Rose would call the next morning, and this morning they did indeed call to schedule their tech in a 1−4pm window.
The tech showed up just before 4pm, was friendly, went to the unit and diagnosed the problem (blown capacitor) in about ten seconds flat. Out to the truck for a replacement unit, installed, flipped the switch and AC working like new again. Total time about 10 minutes.
Our experience was five star all the way. Well worth the copay for this quick, polite, knowledgeable service tech.

Yet Another Collaborative Catastrophe with American Home Shield.
The short story:
Went through the AHS (Home Warranty) company when we needed out duct-​work inspected and repaired. They connected us with Rose. Spoke with them and an appointment was scheduled for the one day a week I have off. They were to arrive between 8 and 11 AM that day.
I had a ‘funny’ feeling about things and called them at 8AM to ask if they could tell me about what time the person would arrive. They told me that my appointment was THE NEXT DAY!
I have had the same day off for 15 years and only schedule home appointments on that day — Moreover, I recorded the conversation when the appointment was made.
No excuses, no apologies and no explanations.
Needless to say, I cancelled their service (and the AHS policy the same day.)
A company that cannot schedule a routine appointment accurately can certainly not be trusted to do any work for you.

Bad communications skills, not coming through with what what they said, and the worst part is that it seems there is no one to complain to, they are all in the same boat. good thing there are other helpful competitors

If I could give LESS THAN ZERO STARS I would. Matter of fact this is the most unprofessional company I have EVER dealt with. I sure wish I would have read these other reviews before I would have let my home warranty company pick them, schedule them and waste an entire day of my time waiting for them. I would have protested before they wasted my time. How dare they think they can not show up for a scheduled appointment! Why do they think their time is more valuable than anyone elses? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are liars as they tried to say they didn’t have an appointment with me and then miraclulously knew my name when I gave them the address that they didn’t show up to! When I called her on it after she swore there was no work order she said something completely boneheaded and to the effect of ‘well we had your information but nothing scheduled’. REALLY? Are you that stupid? Everything happens for a reason and I’m now damn happy these people were not allowed on my property to work on my heater. At the VERY LEAST they need new office help!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They don’t fulfill their promise at all. They came out under the warranty I had with American Home Shield. They came out 4 times. The last time, a month ago, they said they are ordering a new condensate trap, which they said my heater needed. My heater went out again, and now they said in 3 days they will send out someone to assess the situation, yet again. I told them they have the part on order, buy TRACY and KINDRA would listen to me. They said they have to come out, yet again, and see whats wrong. TRACY would not let me talk on the phone and said they can’t order the part. She hung up on me. When I asked to talk to the owner, she said he has pneumonia. DONT USE THIS COMPANY.

as with others, our home warranty company sent us Rose Heating and Air Conditioning. As soon as I heard, I came here to check reviews and was quite wary. However, our experience was stellar. the first repairman was a few minutes early after calling to say he would be there soon. he diagnosed the problem, but didn’t have the correct part and when they found the correct part, they would call. my first thought. uhoh… but, I got a call around 530 pm the same day from the repairman with the correct part, asking if it would bother us if he arrived around 730 pm as he was coming from quite a distance. he actually arrived right at the designated time, spent about 15 – 20 mins installing the correct part, answered my worried questions (will it still work when you leave… what do we do if it doesn’t?), petted our dog, advised us to recontact if it acts up but assured us it shouldn’t, and was on his way. he didn’t rush throught the job, but he did what he came for, and was prepared and capable. there was nothing more I could want or expect!

Can you give less then one star??? These guys are a complete waste of time. They came out on a home warrantee repair (AHS), see the theme here! They want to get in and out ASAP. Complained that I was so far away the entire time and they would be stuck in traffic. Said the unit was fine and didn’t bother testing it. I tested it and the heater still didn’t work, the reason they came out in the first place. They drove off, I called their office, the RUDE receptionist said they were out of cell range and I’d have to schedule another appointment.
I called to schedule another appointment and they told be it would be two weeks before they could come out again. Then AHS called and told me they refused to come out because the job was completed.
Do not use these guys for any repair.

Our home warranty company picked Rose Heating & Air for us, I called on a Sunday and although the girl on the phone wasn’t super-​friendly, they sent out a tech the next day. I had been boiling in my house for a few days, so in desperation I read up about HVAC systems and narrowed it down to needing a Freon charge and a possible Freon leak since we had it charged a little over a year ago.
The tech came early (I was very happy to see him, temperature predicted at 105 that day), he was polite and patient as I watched over his shoulder and asked a million questions. Sure enough, he charged the Freon and said that there’s probably a leak, but we should be kept cool for the rest of the summer and they will come back to find the leak if we have any problems.
I wanted to have at least a little knowledge about that newfangled cooling contraption based on a bad experience with a previous heating & air company here in Modesto. It seems HVAC repair is like car repair, you have to really find someone you can trust but I recommend trying to understand what needs to be done before shelling out too much money to anyone.
UPDATE 3÷5÷13 Drop to two stars after having yet another heating and air company come in and actually FIX my furnace after nearly 4 years of running poorly!!!

I KNOW THIS COMPANY HARDLY NEEDS ANOTHER BAD REVIEW but it is totally worth my effort to sit here while I could be watching a movie or doing something else fun, right? Jake came out during the early winter to see why my hydro-​baseboard heater was not heating the house like it used to, the house I have owned for 13 years, and I was only slightly annoyed then that he measured the heat at maximum output and told me with a degree of condescension that I was completely wrong about there being anything amiss with the heat output compared to the past, as if I do not know my own house. He made a friendly suggestion that I could add thermostats to the two heaters as an improvement, although it would involve ripping out substantial sheetrock since the thermostat should be positioned on the opposite side of the room so as not to record the rising heat. I asked this of another electrician who came to the house and he told me that the heaters already have thermostats right on them and described them to me. He said he could order replacements made by the manufacturer and would not have to tear out any sheet rock at all. I called American Home Shield (who selected Rose for me), and they told me thermostats are covered by my plan. So I requested Rose return to replace the broken thermostats. That might solve my heat output problem … easy, right? AHS agreed. Well, by this time, winter is over. Jake still does not know what a thermostat is. Yes, that is right, HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT A THERMOSTAT IS. I have repeatedly asked the company (Rose) to call the manufacturer, which is Cadet, the company that bought out Intertherm. The people at Cadet were extremely kind and explained to me over the phone all about the thermostat according to the model number Jake wrote on the invoice himself, and Cadet gave me two other model numbers for replacement thermostats that work with my model of heaters and told me how to order them online as they are not available in stores. Jake is confused by the on-​off button which is a round knob with numbers on it. The numbers tell how high the heat is turned up, and that is the thermostat piece. (Yes, Jake, the on-​off button and the thermostat are the same part. Got that, Jake? If not, you could Cadet, the manufacturer, couldn’t you?) I could not get Jake to call me so that I could try to explain this to him, and I also asked Rose repeatedly to call Cadet to have the manufacturer explain this so well as they did to me, a lay person, simply on the basis of the model number. I have never heard a company complain so much that they might have to have the technician call me or call the manufacturer. I was still patient then and I waited for Jake’s call but it never came. Supposely Jake says he never told me my thermostats were broken and has to return to the house to reassess the situation, and I have to wait four hours for his excellent new opinion. I told Kendra at Rose I never even knew I needed a thermostat until Jake suggested it to me. Only they are already part of the unit, and Cadet can confirm this if he might pick up the phone and call? The owner Tracy finally called me to tell me she would send her husband, another owner, and he would come out with the thermostat pieces already on the truck, and that was my final choice. I told her that would not be possible because the parts are special orders by internet. I asked her to please call Cadet to make sure he has the correct parts before coming. She was furious, completely refused and went back to the same story about what Jake said, about what thermostat? AHS has finally resolved the matter by dismissing Rose from this repair job. Now that it is spring.

Where do I begin? I can’t be the only person so completely and thoroughly disgusted with this company. From the preliminary appointment setting and subsequent missed appointments up until another HCAV company spent 12+ labor hours to repair the «repair» by Rose Heating. Rose Heating was a huge disappointment not limited to the following 1) Missed appointments. 2) Failed to obtain a permit prior to performing repairs. 3) Forged data on documents signed by us AFTER we had signed the paper and submitted forged version to the warranty company claiming they had notified us that «Other stuff» needed to be done and that Rose was released from liability 4) Imcompetent service — Kelly Heating (my 5 star rating) just spent 12 labor hours making repairs to the «repair» made by Rose Heating. The brand new duct installation was left improperly strapped so that the new ducting was dragging on the ground, none of the ducting joints were properly sealed and whatever tape they used was the wrong tape. 5) Rose also trashed our brand new hardwood floors and light colored carpet. Jake the technician was polite. Thats the best I’ve got for him. Unfortunately, being polite doesn’t make up for the hassle, headache, disappointment, frustration and lost wages for getting his shoddy jerry-​rigged job fixed. Jake’s work was a joke that every person who went under our house laughed at. Rose heatiing shouldn’t be allowed to change your furnace filter let alone your duct work. These people are lying, dangerous crooks.

They came out to do a home warrantee repair (the warrantee company picked them). Turns out the damage wasn’t covered but Jake gave us a quote in under and hour that was well bellow what my contractor has wanted. He came back the next day and did the job in 90 degree heat in less time than he estimated. I am going to call them next year when I can afford an AC.
