The folks here are 100% responsible for helping me turn my life around. I went to a psychic fair in 2010, had an insightful reading, then took a 1-​month meditation course, then did the year-​long clairvoyant training.
Before finding this school, I was struggling at being a real estate agent and going through bad, bad relationship stuff. By the time my training at Aesclepion was over, I was moving to the other coast, in a healthy relationship with a man who’s about to become my husband, and applying for grad school in a career path that much more suited me (and I got in, and am about to graduate).
It didn’t come easy, and sometimes I dragged myself through that door in San Rafael, but it was way worth it. If your life needs a shake up and you’re willing to do this occasionally tough, massively rewarding exploratory work on yourself, you’ll find a warm community of support here. I use the intuitive tools I learned there every single day. It’s an absolute shame every human being doesn’t learn this stuff beginning in kindergarten.
To address a concern brought up recently on here, something that is taught at Aesclepion is a sense of grounded neutrality. You’re not going to get big «customer service smiles» when you walk in the door there. I remember feeling odd about that at the beginning, too, but after I while I «got it.» It’s a calm, humble environment that works best if you enter in the same way. I never ever felt like they were «selling.» The meager fees requested for the vital skill set they teach are beyond reasonable. This school is a beautiful gift to the Bay Area.

Ever go to someplace and feel like you’ve stepped back in time? Not in a nostalgic, cool and comfy way but a bizarre and strangely unwelcome sort of way? This sums up my very first visit to Aesclepion.
I spoke to a man at Aesclepion a couple of weeks ago and let him know I was seeking guidance in next steps for my own burgeoning skill-​set. He assured me that I’d found the right place and to come in for a reading. Boy was he ever incorrect! YIKES!
When I saw the rather run-​down, sad-​looking building Aesclepion is in, my gut told me that this actually wasn’t the place for me. I decided to shrug off my own, intuition, which is pretty spot on and go in any way. All I can say is, lesson learned. DOUBLE YIKES!
I entered a large depressing-​feeling room that looked like it was from the mid-80’s. From the dour gray haired lady who unsmilingly gave me the intake to the equally depressing gray carpet, this place felt more dead than alive!
I was told by another woman dressed like a typical suburban housewife, with the cutesy-​crafty green fingerless gloves, and also without a smile, that I was, «really throwing my energy around,» and «she could feel me when I walked in,» to which I replied, «of course you can, I’m me not you. You’ve obviously asked for me as like attracts like,» and then I actually felt multiple energetic triggers go off all over this woman’s body and she basically told me to leave. I snatched up my information I’d just filled out from her, (I mean, would you want these people to have your info after such an experience?), crumpled it up and threw into my purse and practically ran out the door. Excuse me, what? WOW. Just wow. Once again, lesson learned.

TO THE TWO LADIES I MET TODAY: I hope you’re reading this ladies because, frankly, any school that has individuals working at it who come off as unsupportive and judgmental as I felt the two of you with me? Not good, girls, not good. Why on EARTH do you think you’re not making the money you want??? Yeah, that’s right, girls. I felt you both coming from that sad place of lack in the monetary realm. I am in no way interested in giving you any of my money now after my experiences with the two of you. I’ll also let others know to keep their money and go elsewhere… like…Psychic Horizons!
I’ve met some wonderfully grounding, absolutely present and very MODERN individuals at Psychic Horizons (check out their Unilocal!reviews, folks) who aren’t stuck in the past (their building or the people that run the place) to help you with your individual journey into the realm of your clairvoyant gifts.
UnilocalERS: Good luck on your path towards your OWN version of consciousness. I wouldn’t suggest this place at all.

I went to Aesclepion last night for a 90 minute reading. I did not have a groupon, just found them online and made an appointment. It was an intensely spiritual and comforting situation for me, although the entire time I was in tears. The students took their time and were very calm and accurate. There were 3 students who did the reading; I would say 2 of the 3 were pretty great, the other one seemed fairly new and a little uncertain… at times she would open her eyes and stare at me. This was a little uncomfortable only being I was feeling deeply emotional. They all had very interesting things to say and were able to put a lot of things into context for me. Lisa was the one girl sitting in the middle and she was moved to tears while telling me about the bond I’ve had in past lives with my guardian angel. it was the most personal and surreal experience I’ve had in a very long time. Annette (I believe was her name) was another student, her calm presence and welcoming tone was very easy to listen to… she was able to tell me about some of my past lives. I enjoyed the rose and the aura readings the most. The chakras were okay… but as I said I believe that student was newer and a bit unfocused.
I got to ask questions in the end but only for about 15 – 20 minutes. I would have liked a little more time. I would have even enjoyed a 2 hour reading as opposed to 90 minutes if it meant I could ask more questions.
ALL IN ALL — give it a try! It’s worth the time and money… if you’re willing and open to learning more about what’s around you and who you are!

They were right on the money in their reading. They were prompt, professional, and it was an enjoyable experience. If you’re looking to get some insight about your direction, you should give them a try.

Off of Living Social: I thought I’d give it a try. Couldn’t hurt to see what a reading was like.
Note: The three stars are for the 3 student readers I got a reading from. They spent their entire 90 minutes with me doing a Chakra reading. I can’t give this place anymore than 3 stars because even though it was an interesting experience to enlightenment and knowledge of spiritual growth, I was also being coaxed into coming back for more services provided by this place. So essentially however good the experience was, it was spoiled by exploitations and solicitations to bring in customers as a ploy despite I was told those came here because they volunteered to do so.
EXPERIENCE: Overall, it was a good and amazing discovering of the self in ways you may have already known, but needed to be put into context. You entered a room and sat at the center of a couch while for 90 minutes student readers of Aesclepion spoke to you with their eyes closed while drew in energy, vibration, and understanding of who you currently are and where you are coming from. I did find what the readers could sense — a truth to what matched in my current day. I just wished there was more time to ask questions because 99% of it was the readers going down 7 chakra points and no time to really ask them what those fully meant.
GOOD: The readers were rather accurate and interesting in giving a perspective you may not otherwise have realized, but knew was always there.
BAD: Not enough time for questioning. 90 minutes was devoted to reading where the readers only spoke, and you were being analyzed.
Irina McGrath — I’m sorry to point you out — But from the moment I stepped into the establishment, I felt uneasy when I was immediately presented with brochures of what this place offered instead of what I was here for that day. Instead of just briefly being consulted about what to expect on this visit, I was already being introduced to programs and other offers this place provided — without even knowing if I like what I was going into first.
It was fine that I was told this in the beginning, I guess, (or better maybe even preferred at the end). But when I had a few questions about the reading, Irina would be conniving with her replies by not answering any. She would only answer with a «that’s an interesting question» and fish me more reasons to come back to pay for one of the sessions they offered at Aesclepion in order to find those answers to my questions. I was approached by another marketing salesman/​conman before with similar tactics of not fully addressing the customers’ inquiries and this does not make for the person to want to come back. So I recognized immediately what Irina was doing and took into consideration that it was for business and business only so I shrugged it aside. I would have liked answers to my questions though when I ask them or I wouldn’t have asked. Just thought that was being rude to a customer especially for the first time visiting.
She tackled me again during a brief 5 minute break, in which I thought it was to discuss what my session was all about, but it ended up being another marketing scheme for Aesclepion. I was put off.
Then after the reading, one reader wanted to provide something for me, but Irina immediately hushed her down and ignorantly refused the reader for giving me something for whatever reason I will never know and instead shooed me goodbye.
Overall, the readers who are students of Aesclepion are excellent, patient, and relaxing. Kinda like therapy. But mixed with reality involving money, it can turn ugly.
Irina told me I could call back a week later with any questions I had regarding the reading, which I did, but it was again a useless phone call regarding another one of her attempts to draw me back to her place for services and not about my reading. I had simple questions, but she refused to really answer them — giving me a reason not to bother with this place again.

You can drop by for an hour reading by one of the students or teachers, witness psychics practicing transmedium readings and healing, learn mediation or healing in one of their six week classes, or involve yourself in many levels of clairvoyant healing, all taught with a mixture of insight and amusement that makes the study as enjoyable as it is self-​fullfilling.

Aesclepion is an incredible place. I’ve been going there for many, many years. I always leave calmer and happier. It’s been my answer for balancing what could have been a hectic professional career as an Optometrist with a busy family life as a wife, mother of two (now college-​age children), and a daughter of aging parents. The investment in time spent at Aesclepion has given me more quality time with my family and friends. The communication within our family is fabulous. I’m also happier and laughing more! I roll with life more. Challenges are now opportunities for me.
Aesclepion offers many different classes. The classes teach very simple, invaluable lifelong tools. Each class takes you to a different place of awareness. Meditation is a basic class where I learned tools to go within. These tools are fabulous for managing stress, letting go, balancing, discovering, and so much more. Then there are the healing classes. There I learned how to heal or give to myself while healing or giving to others. Giving to others is a win-​win instead of a drain. The fun jettisoned with the intuitive training program or the Clairvoyant Program. Owning my intuition with certainty is about being in the driver seat of my life. Here my intuition has been validated and enhanced. It’s where I learned how to discover what is me and what is not me, all while having fun and laughing. As Albert Einstein said, «The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. At Aesclepion, you learn how to use the intuitive, sacred gift that Einstein and countless others have valued in their lives.

I haven’t even been there yet, but I am already raving about the place in a good way. I have had some good phone encounters with them recently. The staff seems friendly. caring and returns calls promptly (within 24 hours). I can’t wait to go there soon for my appointment!!!

I went to Aesclepion for the first time in May 2011 for a reading and I have been coming back every week for classes, lectures and readings ever since. I look forward every time I come to learning new tools, meditating in a grounded space and growing as a spiritual being. I look forward to being around for many years to come.

A great place to learn how to empower yourself!

I have been going to Aesclepion for about ten years now and have taken almost every program they offer. The cirriculum is simple, yet powerful and the environment is very supportive. A great place to expore your spiritual nature and gain certainty.

Awesome place. Worth checking out one of their ‘psychic fairs’ (every other month or so) to get a taste. Or just schedule a reading.
If you like it take a class (usually start with meditation) which introduces you to the groundwork of their curriculum. I’ve had fabulous experiences here. Very enriching.

Aesclepion is essentially a psychic school. They offer courses on meditation, healing, and a year-​long clairvoyant training program.
The classes teach people tools with which to manage their energy, but Aesclepion itself does not teach any ethics or right or wrong in how the energy is used.
I am currently taking Meditation I, which is a prerequisite for every other course offered at Aesclepion. I can honestly say in the past 3 weeks I’ve learned very fundamental but extremely useful and direct tools for relaxing, clearing out my head, and calming my body.
I’ve seen it called a church in some places but I’ve seen no real evidence of that.
I haven’t been to lots of «Psychic Institutes» but I can say one thing I like about Aesclepion is it does not get overly wrapped up in new-​age fluff, and it doesn’t seem like there’s a hidden agenda. It’s been a good experience.
