No stars for this business. None whatsoever. Will never do business with them again.
Set up a private basic pistol class for two and here is what happened.
— set up class by phone and got email confirmation.
— on the day of the class we were not on the schedule. Huh?!
— they quickly got an instructor (which was great) but who had never taught the class before.
— stood around for 2o minutes waiting for instructor to stop chatting and gather his things.
— class started and included classroom intro then on to the range.
— we had a chance to use three different types of handguns.
Despite glitches overall experience so far was not bad.
But here is what killed me!
— At the end of class they forget to return our ID. We don’t realize this for 3 days. They never call to let us know. WTF.
— I call and am told that they can’t mail them (store policy) even though we live a long ways away. We both have to come to pick them up. WTF.
— I leave two messages with owner to plead case and never get a return call. WTF.
— So my gf calls and they tell her «no problem, we will mail them to you».
— Nothing arrives 4 days later so we call them back. They were never mailed. WTF!
— We drive a long way to get the licenses back. Major WTF!
Bottom line, they are totally unorganized, have no problem solving ability, and basically don’t give a sh*^!

I hadn’t been to the range since I moved from LA. I really like this range, the staff was very informative on a specific weapon that I was interested in. I’m glad I took the drive out to Bullseye it was well worth it and I have found the range that I can call home and become a member.

This place is amazing in that it’s great for both experienced shooters and rookies alike! First time here, an older lady (cannot recall her name) gave me a private lesson for a fee to show me the ropes. Made me feel completely at peace from how to hold and cock the gun to going out into a lane and shooting a few rounds before I was left on my own. The entire time she helped ease my rattled, intimidated-​feeling self as I’ve never handled or even come near a gun before. There was an older gentleman there too who was not overbearing and very respectful as he walked me through trying out different guns to see what «felt best».
As many others have said here, they are not super strict and I can appreciate the somewhat freedom and respect they show you as they walk you through the basics if you’re a first-​timer or if you’re there to spend a few hours to practice or blow off some steam. My husband and I have come a few times, and took our handgun safety permit tests here too — not once has there been a negative experience!

Ok — have been back a couple of times since the incident. Have had a better experience. Still not a good as the old days with Dan, Mike, Omar, Bill etc. but an improvement. So far, I’ve had the opportunity to shoot the sh*t with a couple of the newer guys that work there and they are pretty cool.
In fact, I took my niece and a friend from Spain with me. She took her ID but forgot her passport. She couldn’t shoot without it and we had to reschedule and try to get it in before her return flight.
The guy at the desk — sorry but I can’t recall his name — apologized for not being able to let her shoot (even though it was 100% our fault). I think he really just didn’t want us to have a bad experience) and gave us a pass for a free lane. He really didn’t have to do that but it was a classy move and we made it back a few days later. They both had a blast, pun intended.
On another trip, I even had a better experience with the Grey haired Belt buckle I mentioned previously. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, month. or whatever. I guess we all have those days. Time will tell.
The range is convenient and a pretty good place to shoot. Another reviewer posted that there has been a lot of turnover — for the good –so hopefully things are looking up and there will be a new «old» Bullseye.

Place is alright but could do better. They are overpriced for lanes and ammo. Their 9 mm reloads are 50 for $ 18 which is high for reloads.
The lanes are alright but need improved lighting at each depth.
The shop is alright but lacks weapon cleaning kits and supplies.
The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and professional. The staff is a 5 while the location overall is a 3.

While I have had pretty ok experiences at Bullseye, this last one was a bit much and that is why I had to give it two stars. While the staff has never been OVERLY friendly, they were never rude until my visit last Sunday, April 10^th. Orlando made my experience very unpleasant, for no logical reason that I can think of, other than my «physical» appearance. Following is a recount of my last experience at Bullseye:
On April 10, 2016, my boyfriend and I came to Bullseye looking to practice for an hour or so, as we have done four times prior to the aforementioned date. Orlando told us that because it was after 4pm we wouldn’t be able to practice because there was a class that we would need to take before we went on to the lanes and you all put your guns away between 3pm and 3:30pm. My boyfriend informed him that we had been there four or five times before and had never been asked to take a class before being allowed on the lanes. Orlando then «tested» both of us and told us that we would not be allowed to practice because I was not ready to shoot. After which, he said «Let me see your ID, if your birthday was really yesterday, I will give you a coupon to come back and take the class at a discounted rate». Once he decided that I was not a liar, he gave me a «coupon» {translate: a brochure with his name and an expiration date on it} and my boyfriend and I left.
After careful consideration of the treatment that my boyfriend and I received, I have decided to return this «coupon» to Orlando. After his speculation as to the validity of my birthday, attempting to charge my boyfriend and I for a class that we have NEVER had to take in our previous visits to Bullseye, I have come to the conclusion that his establishment does not want our business. I was made to feel as though I was a liar regarding my birthday for no justifiable reason that I can think of. I never ask for a discount or any special treatment because my birthday was the day before. For him to question the validity of my birthday for no reason was disrespectful, insulting, and humiliating. I have to wonder, what about my appearance made him decide that I was lying about my birthday? I can definitely think of the most obvious, physical factor that caused him to be so judgmental towards me.
Also, his attempt to charge us for a class that was NEVER mentioned before was quite suspect. In the four times that we visited, each time with a different person, we were never required to take a class. We were informed of the proper procedures and protocols for handling the gun and being on the lane, asked what we would like to practice with, and charged. Also, upon reading the «coupon» that he gave me, it says nothing about a required $ 30 class. Again, I have to wonder, what about my appearance made him decide that I should pay $ 30 for a class that was never mentioned before, nor is it in the «coupon» he gave me.
His behavior towards my boyfriend and I was disrespectful and insulting, and I felt as though I were being profiled. So because my physical appearance made him feel so alarmed and uncomfortable that he had to do everything in his power to prevent us from practicing, he will no longer have to worry about feeling that way again, as I will not be returning. I will also let others who look like me know that our kind is not welcome in their establishment so that he is not put in such an uncomfortable situation. I am sure he will be quite relieved by this. My only hope is that every ill feeling that he projected on to me is returned to him tenfold in the future when he visits an establishment and is judged based on your physical appearance alone.

Great place to go shooting after work. Everyone is very knowledgeable and willing to help. They are on the pricier side when it comes to fire arms but aside from that I definitely recommend this place.
**First time shooters and those who don’t own their own fire arm. You will have to be with at least one other person (a friend or family member) in order to rent a pistol to take on the range. Also. First time shooters specifically, be respectful and realize these guys actually know what they are talking about. ASK QUESTIONS. This lets them know how to better assist you.**

If you’re new to shooting, these people here will guide you through it. I’ve been to other ranges where they act like robots without any tolerance for newbs. Easiest in and out procedures, just sign in and be safe and you’ll have a nice day.
Bring your gun or rent one here.

It can get a little crowded, but still a great place to go.

I had an utter blast at Bullseye! Came here with my two gal pals and none of us had ever been to a shooting range before. Jackson Arms in SF didn’t have any instructors for the day we wanted to go, so Bullseye was the next place on our list. They don’t take any reservations which is unfortunate because we came on a busy Sunday and had to wait 30 minutes for an instructor to be available. If you’ve never shot a firearm before you MUST take a class!
I was scared shitless before I even entered the range because we could audibly here the gunshots even from the parking lot! My nerves were getting the best of me, but our instructor was incredibly patient and kind. We practiced with a hand gun and fake bullet multiple times until we had built the confidence up to shoot an actual gun.
Upon entering the shooting range, your ears are instantly assailed with the ridiculously strong guns that people are firing. I was most scared of the gun recoiling and somehow shooting myself or someone else but the recoil was so tiny it wasn’t a problem. The satisfaction from shooting your target square in the chest was beyond belief! Fellow shooters around us were also quite friendly and gave us plenty of tips! I recommend brining sound proof earphones if you have any and safety googles so you don’t have to purchase them yourself.
All in all, it was $ 68 per person which included the ammo, gun rental, safety goggles, intro class, and ear plugs. A great price for my first time! I would highly suggest it :)

OK, my first time here, and on a busy SAT. afternoon. I have been collecting and shooting antique and replica guns for 30+ years. I am NOT a gun nut. I don’t own any modern weapons and HATE handguns except for strict self-​defense, and would be first in line to ban assault weapons. However, give me a Brown Bess musket, or an old Winchester 1893 any old time.
That said, I have put my shooting aside due to lack of places to shoot (except for some pellet guns) for a number of years and ran out of most of my supplies. I have an old Henry lever action repeater that was in nice cond. except for some scratches.
I went in to by some Birchwood Casey gun blue or touch up pen. I looked at the supplies on the wall but found nothing. I waited literally for 30 mins while other people were being helped with paperwork etc. without any of the 3 people working there giving me so much as a «be with you shortly» even when waiting for transactions to go through.
I finally interrupted a counter person during a lull in the conversation with another customer, and asked if they had any gun touch up chemicals blue sticks etc. After checking with another person just sitting in the back doing nothing, they said no. they didn’t carry any such items. Yet, they had gun oil, cleaning kits and other items up the wazoo.
I know i went on a bad day so I am not reviewing their customer service which I am sure would be OK in less busy circumstances, but I AM however lamenting the lack of ordinary gun supplies that they carry. Even though many arms today are made of plastic, many are still wood and steel. Guns DO get scratched, and not to carry at least a simple touch up pen for that purpose is beyond me.
I used to go to Western Sport Shop in SR until they closed. THEY had everything!
Someone said try Marin Arms in Novato, and I called and they said they have. the touch up pens though I can’t go until the weekday as they are closed SUN. I also read their reviews which are less than stellar.
Is it any wonder why I usually choose AMAZON rather than support local shops? Because local shops don’t carry shit. And as far as information, I can get it all via Google and YouTube, and without any attitude.

Had a great experience here. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They were very knowledgeable and was very helpful. I was in town and wanted to release some stress over the summer. It’s a pretty penny to use their shooting range but it was worth it. We shot three guns. I got a little trigger happy but all in all, it was fun to practice those sweet shots. I had quite the inspiration to hit the bullseye a couple of times.

This is a Cool place to come shoot locally for us… Good location, plenty of parking, helpful staff. My husband and i walked in on a sunday, there was about a 20 – 30 min wait, it was available in 15 min… not bad at all, we browsed around until a lane opened up. We shot three different guns, was a lot of fun. Ive only shot one time before in reno so this was a blast to get to try different guns. I guess my only reason for one star off the review is maybe they should have one safety person in the range just making sure everyones shooting is on point, im not gunna lie the group next to us gave me anxiety when they let there girlfriend shoot… I think safety did indeed come in then. I know they monitor the range well thru survielence&sound, the owner came in twice reminding everyone two seconds between shots cuz people were goin a little trigger happy.
But… I would definately return, and buy when were ready. Thanks for the help today!

The reason I decided to rate bullseye:
I recently took up the hobby of reloading ammo. I made a small batch of 20 rounds and wanted to test them out to ensure perfection before going mass production. I called bullseye and Lynn answered the phone. Upon asking about lane fees, she stated «$ 20» in a very dry tone. When I explained that I was only looking to test fire about 20 rounds and asked if they would work with the cost as I won’t be staying long, she again stated «It’ll be $ 20» in her dry tone. Well, I thanked Lynn and sure enough with an overly sweet and very pretentious attitude she says, «well thank you so much for calling Bullseye!».
Now, I’m a pretty polite guy, but definitely didn’t expect her to be arrogant and rude. And for not much reason. You would think they would actually want to encourage business. Bottom line: you can shoot anywhere. A target is a target. But if you can avoid going to Bullseye, do so.
The other times that I’ve shot at bullseye, the only time I actually enjoyed the staff was when I showed up once to find that my buddy worked there… Each other time the staff seemed to be too important to converse, almost like you’re a nuisance.

I am pleased to provide an updated review for Bulls Eye which reflects the much improved service the staff have provided me this year. The range is convenient to my home, and I enjoy sighting in my newly acquired pistols. The owner has made a sincere effort to hire and retain good employees and there has been turnover, much for the better.
The educational shooting seminars and offer of personalized gun instruction serve a useful purpose. Well done, Bulls Eye!

I only got to this place for their indoor range. It is great and very well maintained.
Cons:
Don’t do PPT here. It’ll take you 30 mins to an hour for the transaction.
Ridiculously high priced ammo, cleaning supplies, and firearms.

Love this place.
I recommend: Bringing any firearms of your own, especially if they use the same type of ammo. Buying different sizes of ammo can definitely rack up your bill. If you’ve got more than one 9 mm or .38 bring it!
You can also use your shotgun here. 1 box of 12 gauges go a long way for me. Some places only allow slugs but you can shoot target loads here, just make sure to take off the cardboard and replace with the longest target they have.
The down side: The range itself is a bit small with limited amounts of lanes.
You have to buy their ammo but you can bring back any unused ammo for next time
Probably a bit more pricey than an outdoor range.
The plus side: Everything else. The staff is awesome! They’re super helpful and fair.
They really don’t come out and yell at you unless you’re doing something very wrong but if you’ve been to other ranges before, people should know the basics.
The range offers a variety of targets as well.
They also sell and issue Firearm safety certificates here if you’re thinking of purchasing. I’ve rented the Glock 15 here which wasn’t bad but if you have your own firearms, bring them =)
Never bought from here before but the prices may be a bit higher but I would still definitely consider it for the convenience and friendliness of staff.

I came here about a week ago with my boyfriend, his mom & her friend because he had his own guns. We were the first few customers to arrive as they were about to open shop. The guys that worked there, one of them whose name is Bob I believe, was really nice. We signed a waiver, got a couple of targets and after that we were pretty much on our way into the shooting range.
It’s good to note that you don’t have to pay until after you’re done shooting. I think Bob said that if you were to rent a firearm you’d be able to do so for a pretty low price in my opinion (I can’t remember exactly how much but the price was reasonable) plus you would be able to trade out that firearm for another and you can try out as many as you’d like. The only thing that would jack up the price would be paying for the bullets.
I wasn’t sure what to expect because that was our first time shooting let alone holding a firearm but what a rush! Definitely will be returning in the future! Great stress relieve and it’s always good to have some basic firearm knowledge! also, ladies there’s a ladies night or something like that along those lines!

The only downside for me would be the location of the place. It’s right next to a sewage plantation so it wasn’t the most pleasant smell in the world.

Before I start my review, I want to say that I’ll definitely be back and change my rating upon a better experience. I came here with some friends over Bay to Breakers weekend. Apparently it was super packed, which I had expected anyways. The two guys staffing the shooting range counter reminded me of Schmidt and Jenko from the Jump Street movies. It was hilarious, except for the fact that «Schmidt» was running around like a chicken with its head cut off because they were so busy. That was super stressful to watch. He kept complaining that there were so many first-​timers to train and other staff members were not around.
Jenko (in this case, his name is Jeff) kept his cool and trained 7 first-​timers at once. He seemed to be the only useful person in the whole place. Throughout our one hour of shooting, the guns kept malfunctioning, but Jeff was always attentive to those problems and kept switching them out. That was not his fault, but I will dock Bullseye for having so many faulty guns. In the end, my friend and I got discounts because of all the issues we encountered, then we realized after the fact that we were also charged for earplugs and eye protection that we did not actually purchase. Overall I had a TON of fun shooting for the first time, and Jeff was such a joy to work with. Everything else was no bueno. I’m willing to come back and try again… I hope it’s a better experience next time.
