Dillon Siedentopf Massage Therapy

This is the best massage I’ve had since I’ve been up in Northern California. Dillon is a seriously skilled massage therapist. He applied a combination of Swedish and deep tissue, using the perfect pressure (not too hard, not too soft) to straighten out my knots. He found knots I didn’t even know I had, and managed to smooth them out. He also worked on my arthritic hands. My hands almost always hurt; it is just the nature of arthritis — but Dillon got them to the point where I felt absolutely no pain. Still don’t, as of this writing.
What brought me to him was a combination of an Amazon local certificate and the referral of a friend with impeccible taste. Don’t despair if you do not reach him immediately. He’s pretty busy, but he really does call you back!
Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with this well-​trained, hard-​working massage therapist. After having had so many mediocre massages up here — I’d almost given up.

I snagged an amazon local deal and went for a massage with Dillon today. It was, in a word, spectacular. I didn’t realize how bad off my neck was until after the massage. Before, I had limited movement in my neck, and now I can move it about as far as an owl – on both sides! Not to mention the massage felt AMAZING. Not like some deep tissue I’ve had that hurt and don’t make much difference in the end. His hands just seemed to find all the little places that needed attention and relaxed them thoroughly, one sinew at a time. I can’t remember a massage this good. It was truly spectacular. Go today. Don’t wait. You will be so glad you did!

Best massage I’ve had in a longtime. From the moment I walked into his conveniently-​located office, I could tell that I was in the hands of a professional. I had no trouble redeeming the amazon local voucher I was using!
Dillon was courteous and thorough – assessing what my needs and expectations were before beginning. His massage studio, while no-​frills, was clean and comfortable. His eclectic music playlist was a step above the usual massage studio music – no crickets chirping thank you very much! He checked in regularly about how much pressure he was using, but he seemed to know exactly how much was needed. Nice combination of different techniques – Swedish massage + stretching + deeper tissue work. Sometimes I get a little bored or antsy towards the end of a massage, but not this time – I never wanted it to end. In fact, I should have booked a 1.5 hour massage instead of the one hour.
I should also note that my husband mentioned later in the evening that I looked more relaxed (and «younger!») after getting the massage from Dillon. :)
My last groupon massage that I bought from a different Marin CMT was a disaster. Not so with Dillon – he was good or better than massages I’ve had at high-​end spas for $ 150+. I would highly recommend him.
Free two-​hour street parking on B street (across from Safeway) just behind his studio was very convenient, but I think the parking lot might be an option too – I didn’t have to investigate that.

i rarely post on Unilocal for good OR bad, but i needed to post this… not because dillon isn’t good (i’ll never know), but because dillon didn’t honor his agreements (he’s actually the THIRD marin massage therapist who signed up for amazon local services/​deals & chose not to honor the «deal»).
i had purchased an amazon-​local voucher for a massage by dillon & realized that it was almost expired. i called dillon 3 days before the expiration to make my appointment & he told me he was booked for the next 2 – 3 days, thru the voucher’s expiration date & therefore was unable/​unwilling to honor the deal i’d purchased.
i called amazon to double-​check policy & that’s not the way it’s supposed to work. amazon says as long as you contact the vendor before the voucher expires, it should be honored… so i got a refund & never saw him.
not honoring your agreements is a strange way to participate in a (voluntary) program designed to bring in new business.

Dillon is the best. He really knows his stuff. I went to my chiropractor for shoulder and neck pain with little improvement. I felt immediate relief after just one session with Dillon. Definitely worth it.

I have been visiting Dillon for about a year, based on Unilocal reviews. I have been very impressed. I was a competitive cyclist in my 20s, with massages weekly. Now I am a corporate robot with health goals. Dillon listens to my bi-​weekly issues and fixes the critical problems. Recent exercise improvements are hopefully going to help.
To get to the point, Dillon is a very professional massage therapist with his patients’ goals in mind. I highly recommend visiting him vs. some anonymous corporate massage company.

A groupon success story!
I came to Dillon via a groupon deal but am now a devoted monthly customer! I originally purchased the deal for just a good massage but between buying the groupon and visiting his San Rafael studio, I injured my back.
Dillon knew exactly where to go to find the source of my discomfort and definitely knew what to do to alleviate the pain. He is quite well versed on the musculature and the massage was both therapeutic and relaxing.
He is professional and organized and I have been back many times since my groupon was redeemed. I feel I no longer need to search for a regular therapist who knows their stuff and that I can trust.

Dillon used a technically correct approach with me. This was enhanced with accommodation and benefical therapy focus for chronic and single episode trauma problems. He is including his own dynamic interpretations from experiences to provide benefit of acupressure for specialized body areas and helps with the Coping too!

Dillon really knows how to find your trouble spots and work them out. I had some persistent issues in one area of my back, and they haven’t come back in a month since visiting Dillon for the first time. I was a little sore for a couple days after the visit, as he told me I should expect, but it was well worth it.

I’ve been a client of Dillon’s for 2 – 3 years now, and I highly recommend his services. I’ve had a lot of massage in the past, with a wide variety of practitioners and modalities, and I can say that Dillon is really effective, especially with tight, painful lower back issues. He is not only knowledgeable, but is also extremely sensitive to clients’ requests.
I’ve had a herneated disk and some sciatic issues, and Dillon has been sensitive to my injury while helping to loosen the muscles that tighen up around the injury. He works deeply and slowly, to create relief that lasts.
Dillon’s sliding scale is very reasonable, given the depth and quality of work. I highly recommend giving him a try.

I saw Dillon for my super tight lower back muscles. He suggested I get a deep tissue massage just on my back for the hour. I took advantage of his two for one offer here on Unilocal so the price was right. Next time my back gets tight, I will go to Dillon right away. He loosened the muscles on the first secession. He had me return in 4 days at which time I told him my lower back was still aching each day. He worked on that problem spot and the aching stopped. I agree with all the other 5 star reviews concerning Dillon.

I’ve been going to Dillon for about 2 years now, and having been to many therapists in the past, his technique and ability to read the body, really stands out. He has very strong knowledge of the human anatomy, and this comes to light every time I go in for a session. His rates are very reasonable, and he is very professional. I strongly recommend him!!!

I am a junior manager of a massage clinic so I am very picky and well educated about massage. Dillon is amazing. I suffer from fibromyalgia, a bulging disc, as well as upper back and neck pain. After coming out of one of Dillon’s massages I feel so well balanced and pain free even long after the massage. The space is small, but cozy and private and with light. It was very comfortable and relaxing. And the prices are on a sliding scale, so it’s great for my budget. I’m definitely going back again!

I have only visited Dillon once, however I was very happy with my experience and hope to have the opportunity to go back again! I had mentioned a recent injury and he was kind enough to work with my difficult schedule to get me in quickly.

I started seeing Dillon in November 2008. I had a back injury that developed into a pinched nerve in my neck. My right arm had felt like it was asleep for two weeks. The pain was quite unbearable. After our first session I began getting some feeling back in my arm as well as, that night I got the best sleep in weeks. I had seen others who did nothing and one had even irritated the area. Now I will let no one else touch me.
